temple of the jade serpent. last seasons key from mop. since were having bad takes this thread lets remove pvp since nobody does it and focus only on raiding and m+ no need to rebalance stuff because of pvp since it has been removed
Hello, I see you replied to the thread. Haha, we might as well get rid of raiding too! Compared to Mythic+, hardly anyone touches raids anymore! Should just go ahead and make this game World of Mythic+ because, lets just be honest here, it’s the only thing keeping this game together, haha!
Thanks for your post and have a great day!
your toon should be named Irony
That’s just sad man I think I need another coffee after reading that.
pvp has not been really a deterent to good dungeon design and the concept has always been the same, to defeat the other team. M+ is a jumbled mess of aoe and trash mob nonsense. There is no sense of organization and good pacing. It’s too much like an arpg and you can’t focus on important things because so much is going on. It’s bad design so that makes it not a take or an opinion. It’s just fact.
obviously you have never run high keys. and just because you say something doesnt make it a fact because if were playing this game the fact your talking about things that are beyond your comprehension prove that this game which is far to easy ot way to hard your you to play and that isnt a take or a opinion its a fact
thats not a fact, thats just an insult. I am not trying to be rude. But you cannot look at how trash packs are pulled in dungeons m+ of any level and say that it has good pacing. Back in vanilla, not classic, there is a difference, we cc’d and pulled packs that had target priority. This was a much more organized way to have combat. It also added to the challenge and class strengths. This is something that can definitely be improved on and i believe can make the experience overall much better. Its not a question that people are clamoring for something better in their group and even solo play. Sometimes people don’t know what they want but this is the kind of style that brings people together and work together. Now they don’t even know each other’s names, just tank, dps , andd healer.
M+ killing the game? M+ is largely what keeps this game afloat between RWF’s lol.
dungeons back in vanilla was awful. it was a time sink for the sake of a time sink. how is it more fun to have to cc 3 mobs out of 5 just so you dont wipe on a pull. also when you get to high keys how well you utilize your class and your groups utility is so much more important than it was in vanilla. i ran some dungeons last night and added 2 of the people in the group to run keys with. 1 of which was to help get ksm so speak for yourself not knowing each others name
yes, they were insanely boring because they presented no challenge whatsoever. it was just “blast through it as fast as possible for the orb or valor or whatever” and repeat. no reason to bother making friends because every random group you got into could stomp it just as easily.
no thanks.
Most of the players that didn’t like mythic plus have left the game over the years. I belonged to a vibrant community that started on openraid. They finally closed up shop in dragonflight and most likely the last patch of SL. It was a huge group with multiple casual raid groups–AOTC. Forcing mythic plus did not sit well, the stingy rewards did not go unnoticed.
comparing Vanilla leveling dungeons to M+ is just odd to me. they’re intentionally designed to be different experiences, and test you in different ways…some of those early dungeons were made to be completed with unfinished kits (for example).
Additionally, those OG instances were not designed to be run over and over & rushed through…m+ is speed run content.
The closest thing we have to those old dungeons are mega-dungeons/Torghast style instances.
Pre-WoD, what rewards were different? I understand that nothing will ever be as generous as getting mythic raid loot from the mission board, but do we pretend that was good for the game?
It is sad. It is the unfortunate side effect of mop/ wod. If Legion or BFA had followed cata or mop they would have probably been received much more positively.
Players didn’t know better, now we do.
When I played classic nobody ever used CC. You just aoe everything down.
It’s still slower due to needing to drink for dps and header mana, but there is no CC going out because players better understand the game.
people forget how bad we were at the game back in the day.
This is far from true when it comes to making friends. We saved people in our friends list for other events because of the rep we built. And there were challenges in the start but everything has an end. Trying to make things last forever in a game is gonna always be lame. Kinda like static repeatable quests Bethesda puts into sandbox rpgs. They are just there to be there.
I have not done the mega dungeon yet but with torghast, they gave up on it. It was actually a pretty good idea they should have continued on.
which is why i said this
Haven’t done the meta dungeon because my gear is already 447
I’m sorry, I don’t run M+ since Legion… So you say Blizz is spending all their time on M+ dungeons? And now the new mega dungeons. I look at the ‘premade’ LFG I see none. I was hoping for more (Edit: New mega dungeon I only see M+ for all the existing dungeons) . I really do see masses of other M+ to levels I am just stunned at the levels 23+ !!!.. it’s what they love I guess. I have no prob with that. I don’t feel pushed aside with that. I get you see this as an issue.
I am not sure what your are getting at…
There has always been an elite player group they are centralized in M+… I think they need that? I personally don’t care for that … I even use to run norm and mythic raids… but lost interest … maybe it is the weaponizing of that or now there is just too much content or people just enjoy more ‘solo’ stuff’.
I am not disagreeing with you, just giving another view. You could be right!
