I would love some player housing in the game!!

No more than they do with their new open world content, raids, arenas, battlegrounds, zones, or megadungeons. There is literally nothing forcing you to do this content. You’re choosing to victimize yourself.

But it’s not. Blizzard tunes classes such that anything can complete a dungeon at the +20 level. Beyond that, balance is not a serious concern as there are no tangible rewards from higher keys beyond a pretty number.

M+ is the only thing I do (for the most part). I won’t complain if Blizzard puts effort into my favorite game mode.

You don’t understand what goes into a development cycle clearly. You blindly assume the reason for any lack of content is balancing. Where do you think all the art assets come from and how long do you think it takes to build entire environments?
Balancing doesnt take time away from the artists because they aren’t responsible for it. Roles are broken up for a reason, they entire team isnt devoted to balancing.
Blame Blizzard for their policies causing peaople to leave and not pulling in enough talent instead of making uneducated accusations.

Yeah this is one downside of M+ I definitely don’t enjoy. Imo M+ should be changed back to challenge mode with infinitely scaling difficulty and a ladder to track the best players. The rewards should be prestigious titles and cosmetic items and it can still have its own MDI type content going on.

For the rest of us Mythics would simply be the end game with perhaps one ultra hard optional affix system (think end of SL optional hard mode with raids) to it that rewards slightly better gear that can be upgraded up to heroic quality over time. Same general idea but we get more dungeons added that can be cycled into the challenge mode pool as they want, and no more having to deal with drama over M+ and loot and getting nothing at the end to show for it. Mythic dungeons could also just be tuned harder as well as heroics in response with no lockout for both.

Oh and you can queue for Mythics if you want :wink:

M+ is the most played content in the game, by a VERY large margin.

I personally think M+ is trash content (same with the vault) and boring AF but it doesn’t mean other people don’t like it. I just don’t play it.

My main concern is finding a guild who is willing to let you raid without “putting any effort” into M+ as well.

M+ currently carries this game. Getting rid of it would do a great disservice to the game and community

Gaming is just a different beast these days, the demand to include some kind of e-sport method of playing can’t be ignored. Personally, I think 8 is too few and that each M+ season should have 12 dungeons in rotation, maybe start of season has 8 and each proceeding couple of weeks get an additional one. It would be cool to see different modes of dungeon running though, like mirror/reverse courses, expansion world tours, timewalking+… You can get creative with a lot of ideas but the bottleneck is always development time and resources.

I think a battle royale mode would be awesome, a hybridization of PvE and PvP on a map akin to Summoner’s Rift from LoL. With the win condition being destroying the opposing teams base but getting there requiring farming enemy characters, PvE mobs, and towers that yield temporary gear rewards and levels.

Been saying it for years. M+ is the worst thing… Well after high end pvp of course. But marginally… Anyways… It is killing wow
