Alot of people/healers are passing on m+ if the groups are outside their circle. Player/Zoomer toxicity is abit high this xpac. I actaully benched my preserv. Too many meltdowns before the countdown can even finish. Sure those 3rd party sites are showing representation of the active meta bros and whomever they can see. People are starting to tune out the community and stick to solo activity. Ive personally disabled all party/raid/social channels.
I feel like not as many Zoomers play this game as people think
Yup. Druids are good at having healing constantly pouring in. They don’t do burst well and they don’t have any utility to their casts like shields, buffs, etc. But constant hps? Masters.
And because Mythic+ is filled with constant unstoppable, unavoidable raid damage? Druids can just constantly pour healing out and it’s pretty much always going to be useful.
The game’s bad design leads to the Druid’s good design to flourish.
Evoker required positioning is how every group should be positioned for every healer. It just falls apart faster if they don’t do it for evoker. You think ranged standing outside of the range of efflorescence shouldn’t be uninvited? It happens all the time. That’s 40y radius but still, there’s no excuse for how bad ranged players are at this game typically.
Druids are stupidly OP right now for sure… I am always pressing buttons with my priest but I took my druid to 70 Friday and by Saturday wasn in the +10s with him in normal dungeon blues at 250…
I swear I could have sipped a latte’ and ate scones while chatting with friends at the local shop and still healed M+ with him. It was too easy.
I don’t think it has anything to do with good or bad design.
Its different classes are different, and different content has different healing/damage patterns.
Different class toolsets work better in different situations which in an RPG to me should be the goal. Not have every class the same with a different skin.
Druids have always done well against constant rot damage and bad against burst.
Disc for example has been kings of predictable high burst damage (a normal staple in raids).
And various in betweens. SLT totem can be possibly the strongest cooldown in the game or useless depending on what is happening for example. Monk revival can be life saving if there is something to aoe dispel or very mediocre if not.
Etc.
Tis true, LOS is always the worst part of these dungeons now days. There is way too much room and folks will tend to get as far back as they can and I just cant get to them. I am not about to run around trying to get everyone in range just for a heal.

Ranged staying out in no man’s land for no reason irks me to no end. Doubly true when it’s 2 ranged and the are standing on opposite sides 40 yards away.
Ya it’s just weird. The game has mechanics you have to play around in the battlefield, yet people can outrange them… but, the game has mechanics to punish people who “opt out” of the close range mechanics. Then the out of position player becomes really hard to heal and a huge liability. They could have just… played all the mechanics while in position to get healed.
It’s just weird. Especially when it’s a BM hunter that has absolutely no penalty for movement.
They could have just… played all the mechanics while in position to get healed.
The only other thing that irks me more than a player that wont stand around the circle on the floor is the melee player that wants to stand beside the tank and get cleaved over and over and then yell “healer! can I get some heals here please!”
Not so much easy to throw in as required to throw in. Evokers get healing procs from doing damage. Dream breath is a heal, and not taken in M+, I assume you mean deep breath, which doesn’t do a lot of damage for preservation, and the stun is a talent only devastation gets. Evokers do a lot of damage because like rdruid, they can just stack up to four HoTs on the entire party, and then use all their GCD’s for damage spell casts, which give them procs for more healing, and they have a lot of powerful cooldowns to recover if health gets too far behind while they’re doing damage.
Also wtf, blizzard changes my active character every other damn post.
Shamans can do decent in raids where people are not relying on you alone to heal. I have done well with my alt with cds when needed but it does feel off… like you need a ton of crit to be useful
Yeah exactly the point I was trying to make. So many people started defending shamans and monks but all I was trying to say is that compared to other classes is it very hard to heal in mythic.
Of course with a well organized group you can do anything but most of us pugers don’t have that luxury.
Anyways I’m coming to understand that certain classes are designed to do certain content easier than others. But honestly guys shaman needs some loving in resto.
Dream breath is always taken and used pretty much on cooldown for groupwide HoT and tier proc.
It is actually impossible to avoid taking dream breath as a preservation evoker.
Deep breath does over 100k dps on big pulls, and fire breath does insane damage too. The AoE stun talent, terror of the skies is in the class tree too, so yes we do get it.
Not only that, they also have the highest damage output of the healers right now, not to mention that they have AoE DoT, which is a lot more convenient than using Shadow Word Pain or using Holy Shock on a bunch of different mobs, especially since the latter is also your main healing spell.
I use beacon of virtue a lot. Maybe give it a try on the keys with a lot of aoe damage going out. Highest key I have done is a 22 so it’s not like im pushing super high keys but some keys I know I couldn’t keep up w/o virtue…
Yeah that’s what I’ve been using too, it’s just with some comps and players that don’t use their own defensives it can be very rough.
Dream breath is a heal, and not taken in M+
Completely false, dream breath is 100% required in m+
hpal doesn’t need a buff, they’re just hard to play. The difference between a good hpal and a average one is night and day.
That would mean they need a buff.
Just like it’s possible to roll higher on a D6 than on a D20, it doesn’t make it a balanced match.
i just linked you TWO sources for proving you wrong, so use them
Saying oh some no lifer has done the hardest content with an off meta spec does not help anyone that is pugging. The couple of shamans do not represent their overall state, in the leader boards the first shaman is on page 12…while you’ve got 200+ evokers/druids ahead of them.
Fact of the matter is some specs are better than others regardless of the highest key they’ve completed. There is a reason that the highest level of content is dominated by druids not shamans.
Peppino asked for your main because you’re the one that told people to get good on a public forums, just need to make sure the skill matches the ego…or you are perhaps just some yappy attack dog with nothing to back it up
