M+ has been ruined

when my queue popped and i saw the deadmines loading screen, i knew i’d be zoning in to one of two things:

  • running back to foe reaper in a group that had wiped at least 4 times on it already
  • the entrance, with no tank in group

Am I weird that I don’t find 26/27 to 28/29 at all weird or crazy? That’s only 1 to 2 up.

If it were say from that to 32/34. Then you have a cast of it being too op. Idk I also sit in the group of players who sees no real reason to go that high for anything other then ego.

I have yet to encounter a “get rid of mythic+” person whose suggestion for an alternative system would not make me immediately unsubscribe.

How is this not what they do with the mega-dungeons? Minus the stupid idea that somehow they could take months to progress.

He’s delusional. I mained FF for years. The Variant dungeons are so easy you can solo them and the Criterion are so hard only like 5% of the community clears them. They introduce savage level mechanics into small group content in a game where the average player can’t clear mid tier extremes. I raided Savage all last tier and I’ve seen the playerbase cry so hard they download autorotation programs.

Mega dungeons are just glorified old school dungeons. Dungeons that take time to progress through would be superior.

The hilarious part is that even if the general idea was “There needs to be a better progression of difficulties”, it speaks more in favour of more difficult content rather than less
So as much as it wasn’t well recieved, it was proven to be correct

Albeit it was proven via Mythic dungeons, Mythic+, and Megadungeons being a thing so hilariously the article despite it not being well recieved is still correct and shows that Mythic difficulty and Mythic+ is a good and could’ve potentially even have been desired back in the days of Cataclysm

The dungeons Blizzard would introduce would be nothing like FF14 variant and criterion dungeons although those are nice. Variants are easy you are right but criterion can be done by anyone.

Its not that they are delusional but rather, they don’t aspire to do anything

When it comes to people who argue for the removal of systems and the like, something valueable is to look whether they have ever actually engaged with the system in the first place
And… well, they don’t do Mythic dungeons, nor Mythic+, nor the mega dungeons, or anything else even remotely PvE-related except buying AOTC-clears (judging by their profile)

So I don’t think they are delusional … I’m pretty sure they are just trolling and nothing else

Criterion are savage level mechanically and require actual prog. Not to mention the overtuned (Savage) version that takes the existing mechanics and makes a wipe a full instance reset back to the beginning. I can assure you that 90% of that community cannot do that. I’ve played it for years, I’ve progged on every server on the NA datacenters since they opened up, and I assure you most people suck.

Lol this is just an alt, not even that. I deleted all my characters but two. This one just holds gold atm and I have not decided if it is cheating to keep my gold as I started over with a brand new character.

We burned their crops, poisoned their water supply and delivered a plague unto the playerbase’s houses!

And what constitutes a real dungeon mmm? I’m going to go out on a limb and say you are one of the absolute tiny minority that actually enjoyed taking 6-7 minutes a pull and 300 pulls in a dungeon where it’s all single target

SAP star, Sheep Moon, Trap Square, Kill Skull then square then star then X then moon.

That real dungeon experience? Was 3-4 buttons per person and a crapload of idle time.

Well, don’t forget they have other abilities too that could push past it, their Breath of Eons accumulates damage from Ebon Might before doing instant Crit damage. They have another that gives pitiful amount of Crit but can do 15% additional damage by chance of w/e abilities they just used to proc if talented right. And lastly, a buff defensive for tanks mainly where it does uncapped AOE thorns damage and if talented can also be a life-saver for them, which is very good in M+. Don’t forget that in party (Not raid), their Ebon Might and Breath of Eons is exponentially boosted by 40%

Without knowing exactly how much all of this does for Augmentation, we won’t know if they’re actually doing more than the supposed amount stated. And that it has far more utility and different priority for terms of how it helps the rest of the team instead of straight up doing direct DPS. And comparing to any other specialization, Augmentation is the easiest to learn for Evokers, may be even easier than most classes given what I’ve gotten out of it.

It’s not even a little bit of a challenge. 370 gear can run 15s. I just don’t understand.
