M+ gear gap widening vs Mythic raiding

I wonder if the difficulty will be like this season or like it was in season 1 of Shadowlands.

It’s a limited sampling set so far but season 1 affixes have been garbage so far (Prideful, Infested).

You can’t compare r1 m+ to ce. That has to be compared to HOF only.

Why should killing mythic boss give same ilvl as a +25 vault

I didn’t compare it to CE, I compared it to RWF, and said Blizzard designing around either was stupid.

In a patch were the maximum ilvl was ~252, Echo killed the final boss in ilvl 242, a gear level that was 110% attainable by most guilds during that patch cycle by just raiding.

Bloodmallet is top tier garbage. Droptimizer on my MM places everything in Heroic under my current gear.

I think I sort of see the issue. You think Bloodmallet is useful for anything.

Can you get end boss gear from the vault even if you didn’t kill it that week (but you did before) like it is currently? If so, M+15 should have a chance to give M+18 vault rewards if you’ve done an 18 once. And M+10 (base heroic) should have a chance to give M+13 (end boss heroic) if you’ve ever done a 13, and so on.

Sure. If you took several months to do it. And if Blizzard was still releasing raids like they did back in the BC days, that would be fine. But they don’t do that anymore. Yet they’re still using a raid gearing model from 15 years ago.

I agree again. M+ is a far newer system, and is more fun. Out with the old, to make way for the new I say. Delete the old geezer … that raid boy has seen and done enough.

Ion stopped raiding a while ago.

I mean, CE raiding is definitely more a dedication of time than anything else. The poster you quoted isn’t wrong; mythic raiding isn’t some supreme expression of skill. If we want to be completely honest that’s high-end PvP and not terribly much else.

This would truly kill the game. Raiding is still a popular activity among all MMOs really.

So nerf the piss out of M+ which far more people enjoy. Not following your logic here.

Seems kind of suss.

SL “killed” raiding and it has plenty of people still doing M+.

Real problem also is blizz just killed 2 day mythic raiding with sepulcher tuning and fight design.

Would’ve been fine with a 8 month season, like typical SL seasons were.

Heck, nerfed Sepulcher would have been fine as a 6 month season.

But no, we had to have a sub-3 month S4 for some reason. Because that was really useful.

At the cost of a raiding point of view.

We didn’t need the ilvl bump that caused the removal of AotC/CE. If you wanted to farm valor and gear, you could have done so on an alt.

Bloodmallet is overview… in general. YOu still have to sim yourself to be precised. Droptimizer on me tells me otherwise to keep my current trinkets… versus an ilevel 298 Injector on heavy-cleave. I need to win a lottery on Vault to jackpot an ilevel 304 Injector since I dont raid. But I am not whining becoz Vault gave me and Irondocks ilevel 301 gun that propelled me to KSM. But still… Raid gear > M+ Gear.

Bloodmallet is based on a gear profile your hunter doesn’t have with a single talent build and single covenant choice.

It’s top tier “do not even go to the site” garbage and the mere fact you mention it proves you are unfit to even discuss gearing with.

If you don’t raid, 298 injector is better than anything you’ll get from the Dinar vendor at 278/285.
