M+ gear gap widening vs Mythic raiding

I’m not concerned with fixing raiding. Speaking for myself, I am concerned with making the game better for everyone, not just one subset.

6 ilvl difference on maybe 2 pieces of gear isn’t a big deal. It’d be like 2 total ilvl difference from a decked out Mythic raider.

75% of the mythic raid drops gear higher item level than you can get with M+, and then you get your vault on top of that.

Heroic raiding is, which the vast majority of what the raiding player base engages with.

Yes lol.

Yet, you’re advocating for complete boss skips.

I really can’t even engage with this nonsense anymore. You clearly have a chip on your shoulder against raiding and it is driving you crazy that Blizzard is trying reward those players that engage with that content better rewards.

Again, M+ was not meant to replace raiding. I don’t know where you guys keep getting this silly notion.

Unless they changed it from the last time I played. Heroic and Normal Nath only had the chance to drop loot to you once per boss per week.

So what is the point of all your whining. Again, you’re just like the other poster here, you are getting major fomo over a few ilevels difference in rewards.

Speaking from the perspective of not being “anti”-anything, there are still improvements that could be made to raiding, just as there are for other content.

  1. Gear lockouts in Normal and Heroic help create the feedback loop of M+ being a better source of gear at that level due to repeatability. Maybe it’s time for Normal and Heroic bosses to be clearable for loot more than once per week on a given character.

  2. Mythic for a decent amount of time has had issues with lockout IDs and cross-realm. In the case of IDs, making plugging different bosses harder, and in the case of cross-realm not being doable for a lengthy amount of time into tiers. They’re starting to fix cross-realm, but the IDs still cause issues.

The title literally has “Mythic Raiding” in it. Stay on topic.

…?

Yes, people want to skip Shriekwing but perhaps rekill the tier bosses. This isn’t complicated.

Paging Brewa, can you say something to this guy? Lol.

Loot lock-outs. Not instance lock-outs. If you wanted to do Heroic Painsmith while your guild progged Heroic Sylvanas, no problem.

This is forbidden in Mythic. Which is cringe.

I wish they would just get rid of lockouts for raids entirely, loot or otherwise. If M+ players can infinitely run content to get gear, I don’t see why raiders shouldn’t be able to.

Nah man you just can 't just say this lol. This is classic Sentenza deflection tactic here. I’m serious when I say this, you don’t have a clue what you’re talking about here.

I’m glad the developers are ignoring posters like you. You can expend your entire life on these forums by keep making these whine threads, but it is falling on deaf ears. Blizzard is going to follow the metrics and they’re going to make changes they think are best for the game regardless of what biased individuals like yourself spew on these forums all day.

It was mistake taking you off ignore, but I had to because you make so many threads every week, I was curious to see what you were whining about.

Edit: Back to the void with you along with the rest of the trolls.

You’ve added little of value so I guess

Because EoD loot is trash and Valor is time-gated.

Blizzard shouldn’t have called it a pillar of endgame if they didn’t mean for it to be equivalent to raiding. Note I did not say equal.

Considering TBC classic had a larger raiding playerbase than retail and FF14 combined by a wide margin I would say the people who enjoy raiding the most are there.

“Raiding is obsolete” :stuck_out_tongue:

at the same ilvl … not at an higher one

M+ should give 424 gear in the weekly vault, and should give 2 items.

End of dungeon loot should be 415 or 418.

Ion’s vision of raiding is obsolete.

TBC Classic and WOTLK Classic raids are easy. I don’t think most retail raiders want raids that easy.

Classic Andys love easy raids that give BIS. I don’t think it is a problem to disappointment them. I think what I can say is that Classic Andys playing an ancient game is proof that the Burger King motto is in effect, and if people can’t have it their way, they’ll play something else.

I know that there are people who want to raid Mythic in retail but don’t because of all these barriers, and if they can’t have BIS in Retail, they’ll get BIS in Classic. The trick is drawing back in the people who want to play the challenging content and eliminating the barriers to entry in terms of logistics, without feeling obligated to make raiding difficulty trivial.

For my experience with it, the most fun I had with Mythic Raiding was Mythic Council and Mythic Painsmith. I love a good fight. I don’t want to play Classic because those encounters are lame and easy. But if I were the type of player who cares about being able to attain BIS, then Classic would be a better fit.

Also I thought you said you were leaving this thread.

Exactly this. We just wanna be able to get our foot in the door and there are so many obstacles to it. People who say there aren’t are playing a different game.

Becoz soft players want Mythic raiding to become soft when in fact they should be contented to Normal and Heroic Raiding which is PuGable.

WoW doesnt need to adapt to subpar Raids of other MMOs. If you want competitive gaming, WoW has it.

Nope. Wrong. Giga-wrong. I do harder content than you by far which completely shoots down your narrative. I just choose to not Mythic Raid anymore because I don’t like all of the things surrounding it (barriers, drama, commitment, etc).
