M+ gear gap widening vs Mythic raiding

Wait, I looked at your account lol. You’re calling me for not doing end game content and your last AOTC was in 2018 lol.

It’s an 18 year old kids game, relax.

And you think it matters? Dude could have six plus accounts like I do.

Sure you do lol.

We are deep in the trenches already.

I don’t think so. Look at how they nerfed s3 trinkets to force ppl away from those. Could have been worse if Ion tried to nerf us harder to move us away those trinkets instead of letting us enjoy them in some form before we moved onto newer trinkets.

The idea of having to refarm a trinket because Ion destroyed my previous one with no actual compensation or feeling of “power gain” would be cringe, especially if it was only being done to certain trinkets especially specific to M+.

Big yikes at the thought.

It’s simple just get into a guild of instant friends that aren’t clickish asshats and sacrifice your real life obligations to log in at specified times and you too can enjoy all WoW has to offer. I don’t think he’s being unreasonable. Anyone can accomplish this right. Let’s take it a step further: I feel that if blizzard catches you pugging content you should get a 15 day ban cause clearly that’s not an ok way to play WoW right?

FFXIV never pretended to make another endgame equivalent to raiding, and raiding has a MUCH smaller band of gear to deal with given the way their raid difficulties and loot structure work.

It’s not really comparable to the problem we’re seeing with WoW.

Exactly that too.

I started playing in 2004, before battle.net was a thing. I was 27 at the time. I have had every class at max level since forever.
Then my friends moved off bleeding hollow. It was cheaper just to buy the expansion over and over vs boosts. SO I did. As long as everything is still in your name, you can transfer them between accounts. So max 8 copies of wow per account. One boost each. 8 per battlenet. So ya, I have tons of accounts.

That is why boosts are tied to the purchasing copy now when you buy expansions.

Would prefer they just add a stat or set to each content that only works in that content. Let the pillars be pillars. Years of complaining about pvp and pve overlapping for min/makers led us down the road to resilience and now scaling and honestly the game is fine for it. Let’s just role it out to m+ as well. It’s been around long enough as a gear mode and people obviously enjoy it.

This way everyone can stay in their lane. If you perform well at one you get to jump into mid level in the others like pvp gear.

Ffs bags are big enough to compensate for 3 sets now if someone wants to do all 3 forms of content. Especially since everyone can farm up enough gold to get a vendor mount in like a week.

Cool story. I’m still waiting on that quote about M+ being designed as equal pillar to raiding.

shuddering remembering carrying literally 4 interchangeable sets of gear for Corruptions back in S4 BFA

I didn’t know I was here to teach obvious things to children. News to me.

Maybe someone should teach you not to make claims without evidence to back them up. This is like grade school level stuff here.

I mean, there’s a quote from Ion floating around somewhere specifically about making M+ a pillar of endgame.

Trying to break that down into “did he mean equal pillar” is a bit weird, not gonna lie. If they didn’t intend on making it somewhat equivalent would they have said they were making M+ a pillar of endgame to begin with?

Good, dungeons were never meant to be a meaningful endgame but an introduction to the real end game. I for one hope they raise it from +18 to at least a +20 for the weekly and I also hope they keep making the achievement mount lame like the new one for dragonflight so I’m not forced to participate in this garbage mythic+ game mode because it’s too good to pass on like the prior ones.

Also if they could bring heroic+ over from classic wrath so those of us who want a fun dungeon experience that offers good rewards without the entire lame affix garbage, trash timer that requires stupid routes etc…that would be great oh and mythic+ people shouldn’t cry if heroic+ offers good equivalent loot as mythic+ since I’ve been told countless times on here that people do mythic+ because it’s fun and not just for the reward.

That’s a pretty dog take.

Games evolve, peoples’ ideas of fun change. I’m not one to say “down with raiding”, but at the same time trying to stifle the value of any other content for the sake of raiding is a bit stupid.

(I was going to add “wouldn’t you agree” to the end of that sentence, but it’s obvious enough you’re heavily biased in favor of Raid >>> Else to agree.)

Don’t make me acquire gear to push M+ and I won’t give a damn if it gives gear or not.

Shocking Ion the corporate lawyer has lied to us… Almost like this is what he has done for a living.

I don’t disagree, but as it stands that’s the statement they’ve made about parity of endgames, and to my knowledge it’s the statement that still stands (in theory/word, if not in practice).

I mostly just want to know if they’re going to address these issues or if I can expect the status quo. Haven’t bought DF because I’m waiting to see, but… Not liking some of what I’m seeing on the side of handling M+.

I mean, they’ve talked about M+, raiding and PvP being the 3 end game pillars. You’re really just assuming they’re not equal and then picking dumb fights asking for proof otherwise.

Right, if they were doing for fun, they wouldn’t obsess over a few ilevels.

I’m asking for proof where they said M+ would be equal to raiding. People want M+ to be the their only form of content and are expecting to get bis from the mode only.
