M+ Dungeon Tuning Incoming

Its a start… doti still gonna be hell on tyran weeks, same for mlst dungeons…

I see the new intended spider boss strat. Clearly it is hero/lust on pull with every DPS cooldown at your disposal imaginable and beat her before she has the chance to pick your squishies off 1 by 1. Probably even have your healer run outside and go DPS because not like they’re worth feces on the fight now. Hero/lust and win or GG we tried.

Edit - Or the new Atal comp is 4 paladins and a mage for hero/lust…cycle them bubbles/blocks.

Edit 2 - You know what actually makes the boss interesting? Nerf the damage to the floor but permanently increase it for every spider that got squished (or add that reached her but that already has a significant punishment) and it now is a 3-4 sec channeled effect on the whole party ticking every half second to allow groups to actually work around it.

By how much?

Decent changes… Seems more QoL really though.

Unless your first note includes literally everything else in the dungeon, everybody is still going to skip these annoying tanky mobs, as they always have. (The point is unless you make AD have 0 skips, kind of a pointless change)

You missed the part where you reduced it’s initial and DoT damage by 50%… otherwise, you better be in the RWF to clear a 10 AD on a Tyran week.

Not sure what this does except overtune Tyran weeks…

Haven’t seen many people struggle with Tyr, but sure?

Does this include the adds? That’s the part people struggle with, just saying.

All decent changes; except I’d go so far as to say Aquamages cast times by .25 seconds wasn’t the issue, but the fact that there’s a pack of 6 of them, that were and still haven’t been tuned properly for scaling M+. Crushing Depths heal absorb needs to be reduced by 50%, not 15%, since it’s scaling with dungeon level.

Ummmmmm… do you guys know how this boss works? Like, I get the rework, but… what does this even mean? It spawns closer to the boss that you want to pull them away from, or it spawns closer to ink puddles on the floor already? >.>

I don’t have words… A single mob in the basement area gets an “adjustment”, yet you can still pull half the dungeon through walls? My god.

You should really let Tyran week go by first before you start messing with stuff, unless something is completely broken (nothing is, btw)… Like, what’s the point of messing with AD? You guys are the ones who picked 6 OLD dungeons and put them in the rotation for season 3… You had to know people who voted for them voted because they LIKED the way they were, and should be tuned accordingly… right? RIGHT?

That wracking pain change with no context is mind boggling, what information are we missing that makes that make sense? The damage it does is tuned to a point where you need to interrupt or dispel it or it will probably kill someone in a key at a legitimate challenge level, so did you forget to mention rebalancing the ability’s damage at the same time?

The rest of the changes seem fine or even good, but this is just a weird change to make before you’ve even had a tyrannical week on a mechanic that you only saw by screwing up (so far).

Hello… yes, i know the answer, it’s me the ret pally who got targeted 3 times on my last key.
If that happens next week and i don’t have a defensive up for each one… well then. :joy:

But i’m not worried about me mainly since i know i pay attention, but my other team mates which are usually pugs tbh.

Maybe more than half as a ret pally.
I’m embarrassed when i accidentally pull something and i actually walk on egg shells all dungeon(as much as i can), can’t even dps properly which i should be able to, since it’s what i signed up for. :confused:

Sometimes I wonder if it’s worth taking Lightbringer, or if I should swap out for Ire. Thankfully at the level I play at the tank pulls enough and keeps us away from other mobs so I don’t generally have that issue.

Tainted Guardian’s Swell damage reduced by 15% - This was the most important for me lol

Maybe instead of making changes that only impact healers you could ask the other roles to step it up. Adjusting timers would be a good start. A lot of these dungeons are being timed with 20+ deaths.

that logic doesn’t work because people will always make it into a healer problem. Not enough time? healer needs to dps.

Although, changes like this means people need to remember defensives exist.

I hope there is more context to the Yazma’s Wracking Pain change as it doesnt quite make sense on the surface.

I thought I had it go off the other day and just outright kill somebody, so I wonder if it’s just a 1-shot on tyranical without an external. :dracthyr_a1: Maybe they weren’t topped or something but this is just such an odd change.

I guess they think there isn’t enough unavoidable damage going out…?

Yeah let’s hamstring our progression because we don’t want to do their god-awful, uncreative, 5 man mode. Also, I already did that all of season 2.
