M+ Dungeon Tuning Incoming

I heard Blizz buffed a dungeon so I was checking in to see if the forums were crying and I wasn’t disappointed.

This is developer ignorance. No Tyrannical data to go off of, and it’s pretty much a 100% chance to kill someone without a healer straight bombing heals into them. Crap design philosophy here. The bad thing is, multiple people had to sign off on this change… nonsense.
Do better Blizz.

Literally this. I totally understand every other adjustment except the Yazma change. Right now if you miss the Wracking Pain it hits people for most of their health at +18. That’s going to one-shot next week on Tyrannical.

funny how none of the nerfs bother you…

you dont want it balanced, you want it easy.

Or if you have a ret pally and their “pull everything” judgements. The Ret pally I usually do keys with is banned from Waycrest until it gets fixed :stuck_out_tongue:

Look, we just want everyone to have an opportunity to experience The Light…

…splitting their skulls open.

you don’t design the game. your goal is not to make it a challenging experience. you just want easy loot.

Thats a lot of 1st round adjustments.

There will be more next week, no doubt once they have tyrannical data

i think you should buff bosses more before tyrannical week starts

shilling wont get you an aberuss cutting edge, nice try.

blizz is clueless.

you dont replenish mana drinking hateorade, consored!

Glad I got some 15s done this week … so I can take next week off.

Just nope…nope…nope…nope.

If I remember correctly during BFA, if no one kicks this spell and it goes off, its a wipe as the damage is too much for the healers.

Without number adjustments on Wrecking Pain, I can see Atal’dazar being a dead key on tyrannical weeks because of this change alone unless you have some specific comp to deal with this but then again, its a dead key because of this and I loathe the idea of having a dead key in my bag because no one in my friend group or guild wants to run (cough looking at you Throne of the Tides cough).

Yeah sure, trust the developers made the questionable change to Yazma by making an ability you suppose to interrupt no longer interruptible.

How about fixing Ret’s in Waycrest Manor and the ridiculous pulling through walls and floors? Not fun bricking keys because of it…

Blizzard at the end of next week: “We hear you and understand that Yazma’s cast is doing more damage than intended. We need to do better. We’ll be adjusting this in a future update.”

Same song and dance, years later, time and time again. You make a boneheaded change, despite community feedback, and then apologize for it when it inevitably blows up in your face.

I 2nd this.

I noticed that last week while soloing it for the world quest. The boulders have been changed to make mythic difficulty much harder.

Blizzard: “Hold my beer.”

True on the spiders (as with many encounters, the more bodies you have, the more the arena can get really hectic, like some of these holiday world bosses…) though I remember skewer at high tyrannical really hitting hard if i didn’t weave in def CDs

I will say it will be interesting to see wracking pain hitting non tanks. I’ve forgotten who it can target because it’s always been kicked. It casting on a tank isn’t as much an issue as DPS.

Most of these are pretty positive changes for some of the most egregious mobs and mechanics, so generally pretty good news. Changes throughout DOTI and TotT are especially welcome.

The changes to Priestess Alun’za are not really unexpected, she’s basically a free boss.

The change to Yazma is just woefully misguided. Unless it’s going to be changed to a MAGIC effect so any healer can remove it, this ability is basically going to be a guaranteed death at any relevant key levels. The ability on its own will probably just land and tick once to instantly kill them, but that not even taking into consideration trying to heal through the insane damage of that ability on top of the fairly high damage from Soul Rend. This boss is already a mess because most players can’t manage to calm down and keep the spiders under control to keep the boss fight going smoothly for more than about 90 seconds, it really doesn’t need to have more unavoidable damage slapped on top, especially when it was previously interruptible, and actually gave the tank something to do other than backpedal around the room.

Drop the change to Yazma and consider something that actually makes any sense at all, and this will all be good news.

Yeah, i just can’t understand why the Yazma change…blizzard is already increasing the amount of mobs we need to kill and increasing the difficulty of a boss in there. I’m wondering what their end game is for yazma - unless it’s no longer a DOT of any kind and just additional damage. And prots can still soak the spiders with Spellwarding/bubble, though I’ve not tried it this season yet to see if there’s anything that’s changed
