Yeah like the mechanics that went from being a mandatory kick to completely unkickable now right?
So zero changes to the bosses, and trash for that matter, that provided to be very problematic this week. Yet they instead choose to change how a boss works, and make it fundamentally worse to deal with. Classic blizzard honestly, the last two bosses in everbloom are going to eat pugs alive, heck the second boss might as well do the same with how hard it was trucking this week.
While I understand this is the first week, and this is fort too, not modifying any of the bosses for next week is just another failure waiting to happen which seems to be the MO for blizzard currently. Given another boss in murozond that was an issue was battlefield, as the trash mobs it would spawn hit like as if they were their own respective boss, unless that was a bug in that the wrong modifier was affecting them.
It’s only one, but yes. That fight was pretty gravy, so I doubt it’ll be a massive issue.
I still think we’ll see more nerfs by the end of next reset.
You aren’t doing keys at the level which it matters no at actual key levels the key will basically become unpuggable.
Idk, plenty of my guildmates who run 18-20s are just as unworried about it as I am.
ya bud lol

Yeah, uh huh, lol.

Found the dev who pushed the Yazma buff.
Stop balancing the game for ppl who do high “cutting edge” keys and nothing else. Atal is only deceptively easy, it’s often a PuG nightmare. Getting Puggers to do that mechanic totem man LOL. I know you don’t balance the game for low keys, but I had a backwards experience last week- as I just wanted to casually do every low key of every dungeon- and Throne of Tides was a smooth run for me and Atal was the only group most players rage quit because ppl didn’t do the totem mechanic correctly…
Yazma
- Yazma’s Wracking Pain can no longer be interrupted and is no longer a curse effect in Mythic Keystone difficulty.
Please do not do this. This is going to hurt groups a lot, especially on tyrannical.
Please nerf those damn boulders on black rook hold
Everyone is nerfed but demon hunters. The end.
Come on. They wont mention Shadow Priests. That spec doesnt exist anymore.
A few of the changes may seem out of line, and since it is Blizzard we are right to be skeptical. However, some might not be looking at the full picture:
Yazma: the change to wracking pain making it uninterruptable will case some issues, but would likely be minor in the long run.
The make it no longer a curse would be the main issue unless a few of the undocumented changes are also happening: Wracking pain is not longer a curse because it is now a 1 and done cast, I.E. a massive amount of front-loaded damage then nothing or it is now a magic effect so all healers can dispell it.
Like I said, the skepticism is warranted, and Blizzard needs to get better at fully explaining things, like “wracking pain is no longer a curse effect because…” or “wracking pain is now a magic affect/front loaded damage spell”
Wracking Pain already double-taps a DPS along with Soulrend on Fort.
This is a brain-dead change unless it comes with a substantial damage nerf.
A tank can solo Yazma, I’ve done it, and it does not matter what key level because it’s the inability to kite the spiders properly and the adds not being killed in time that kills groups.
A tank takes almost no damage from the boss themselves and with no one else in the room, no adds spawn and you can kite the spiders super easy.
Idk, plenty of my guildmates who run 18-20s are just as unworried about it as I am.
Without any other information about wracking pain, we can only assume it will act as before and will 100% kill whomever is the target. The initial hit, will be enough to take someone to 20% or so and the dot, if un-dispellable, will finish them off. Your guildies aren’t doing the key levels they say they are if they are not worried.
I’m not sure if the intended change is for pain to only be applied to the tank, or if Blizzard is intended to nerf it in the range of 80%, but AD is probably impossible now with just that Wracking Pain change. Groups now instantly will die on the overlap at 40 seconds into the fight from the Soul Rend burst + the Wracking Pain, it’s more than 100% of players health.
If you’re trying to make the boss do damage to the group, just add a DoT to the soul rend.
Could be, I haven’t checked their keys or anything.
This isn’t exactly a hill I’m willing to die on anyway. If it sucks, it sucks and hopefully they revert the change and find some other minor way to slow down runs a bit.
You likely hit the nail on the head on who the change is supposed to target:
brain-dead
DPS
I am not meaning that to offend anyone, but this is the kind of change that is more or less screaming “hey DPS, you have damage reduction CDs, USE THEM!”
Sadly, without more information, if they go through with it as is, DPS will just blame the tank or healer for their deaths when it is really out of the hands of the tank (interrupt) or healer (dispell) without some input (CD) from the DPS.
Come on. They wont mention Shadow Priests. That spec doesnt exist anymore.
You are right, we completely forgot about Shadow Priest.
Nerfs all Shadow Priest damage by 300%
