They could stop at 2. The point is, 421 gear is 6/8M and 2400 upgrades are baseline Mythic ilvl. It’s a definite game changer for high key pushers.
There always will be. It’s about pushing, not about getting gear. People will climb as high as they can. You don’t have to if you don’t want to.

I dont think +20s are even close to the difficulty of mythic raiding. I’m not really going to have a problem doing 20s, i can +3 18s all day and even if i couldnt time them i could just face smash my way through it and still get the reward.

No it’s all about ego and spite. There are people in this game and in this thread whose gaming experience is bettered when people “beneath them” objectively have less and they won’t admit it, but having a clear gear gap or shinies others don’t have makes them feel better.

Plus, there are a lot of raid mechanics designed to let one player cause a wipe.
And yet, you can still have multiple carries and get CE.

It isn’t about need. I’ve literally explained this in my post. I can quote my post for you if you like.
I want to play a game with a challenging mountain to climb, with goal markers along the way and with rewards at this goal markers that feel satisfying.
These casual players want to tear down the mountain because they feel the existence of the mountain threatens their ego. Of course we’re at odds with each other, they want to destroy what I want to enjoy while I want to simply enjoy the game.
They can’t just be happy walking the greenway enjoying their own time there. No, no, they have to want to ruin my experience because they don’t like seeing me having fun.
There is no reason, absolutely no reason, they need the gear they’re asking for. 358, 398, 418, it literally makes zero difference to them as they walk the greenway. They’re actively trying to ruin the game for no logical reason, purely out of jealously and spite.
Understand that what I’m saying is the reality of the situation. I am happy with the change Blizzard made and am happy to be able to enjoy my gameplay. It is the casual Andys who want to tear down my gameplay. They could just be content continuing to do M15s but the idea of another player pulling ahead of them hurts their ego. This is the problem. They want free stuff and they want other to NOT have stuff. Additional tiers of Mythic rewards can’t exist because even though they can still do their keys, other people have stuff they want and their ego and jealously want to tear down the game.
They are toxic and in no way should be negotiated with.

Side-note, I’m so glad that Blizzard is going to a three-tier raid structure for the raid. The idea of Shriekwing and Painsmith dropping the same ilvl rewards is laughable.

Getting mythic level gear from 15s was a bit overpowered tbh. Especially when once you have the gear, people were able to time 30s.
