M+ changes in DF are bad

Nah the changes are good actually. The game should reward you for doing harder content.

exactly that why i said they kinda sucked. You got nothing really outta them and could largely just ignore them both.

lol, they’re good if I could ignore them. Spent more time in Korthia for sockets and conduits.

Out of the million toons that completed a mythic plus this season how many of those are 2400io 25%? Im willing to bet thats largely due to the borrowed power from the seasonal. One a fresh xpac its going to be much lower.

yes. at the start of the expac, maybe even halfway through it, it’s going to be lower. but as the tier goes on more and more people will climb to the +20 range.

it’s ok if you’re not getting max EoD loot early tier. and to be clear, I doubt I’ll be getting it early tier either. I’m ok with it, as it gives me something to work towards.

I think it’s more fair to compare s1 of dragonflight to s1 of shadowlands

see you in dragonflight.

I’m to lazy to click an extra button.

Maybe, I’m trying not to. I quit for wod and for 6 months in shadowlands. I could use all the time I save to remodel the house. I was thinking about putting up a pole barn and if I do that I could get into wood working.

I mean honestly with the way blizz development cycles go, not playing at the start of expansions and coming back in patch 2 or 3 is a smart move lol

You and I are on the same page. I really don’t think these mythic+ changes will last long. It’s going to cause too much backlash.

Half the point of all zones is to waste time.

Quests, rares, treasures.

M+ didn’t take anything away from you.

Good thing that’s another DF change : no more repeating dungeons season to season.

Jokes on them I’m still stopping at KSM

There’s no gear currently above 2k.

Once there’s gear incentives above 2k to 2.4k, you’ll see more 2.4k players.

Got to 2399 in my pursuit of portals so far.

But yea, adding more incentives, more people will rise to the challenge. Also hate this season cause no real incentive to raid and thus no real incentive to push.

Hey, I’ll steal this table that Anastasi posted so the others who read this later can get a better idea based of it on the table. (Thanks Anastasi)

Mythic+ Item Rewards:

Key End Vault
+9 389 395
+10 392 398
+11 392 402
+12 392 405
+13 392 408
+14 395 408
+15 398 411 MAX heroic ilvl
+16 398 415 Mythic ilvl
+17 402 415
+18 402 418
+19 405 418
+20 405 421

Raid Item Rewards:

Boss# LFR N H M
1-4 376 389 402 415
5-6 382 395 408 421
7-8 385 398 411 424

+15 gives you a 411. Even if we go with a +16, its a 415, right? So 415 is equal to the first 4 bosses in mythic raids. Compared to the highest ilvl loot from mythic raids, its -9 ilvl’s. If you compare it to a +15, its -15 ilvls. But right now +15’s give you a 304 ilvl item which is -7 ilvl’s from the max ilvl loot from the last 3 mythic raid bosses. For +15’s, in BFA it was the same ilvl as mythic raids. In SL it was -7 ilvl’s for 15’s. And now in DF, for +15’s it will be -13 ilvl’s. So they’re slowly reducing the ilvl’s of the gear you get from mythic+ compared to the mythic raids for the average player who could finish a +15.

I know what you mean that we get it from +20’s too which is closer and its not much different ( -3 ilvl’s) but not everyone will be able to do those +20’s. Bro, you’re very good and are easily doing super high keys but not everyone’s as skilled as you. The majority aren’t and that’s what I am trying to talk about.

In addition, the difficulty of the +15’s is increased (dmg and health%). So for a +15 it has gone from 172% → 198% in SL to DF. In a +16 its gone up from 194% → 228%. In +20’s it goes from 300% → 380%.

Here is the table for that :-

In conclusion, for the vast majority of the players who are not as adept as you. The difficulty level has gone up. But for those who were already doing +21’s → +30’s, its actually a good change. This change rewards the top tier m+ players but it tones down the level of gearing for the rest who aren’t as skilled.

However, we must not forget that the root of all of the m+ are all the players who are also doing the lower rated m+ content. Remove them or reduce them, it definitely affects the higher branches. If you make things too difficult for them, reduce the rewards and they don’t want to do it anymore. Then it definitely will have an impact on everyone higher up like a domino effect. Because we all have to start from the lower ladders. If people aren’t playing it, who are you going to do your m+'s with lol

Looking at that chat it shows an 80% increase in difficulty for a 20.

380% sounds insane.

it’s not 80% , it’s 26%

I can subtract. It’s 80%

It is what I posted unless they changed it. Here’s the source.

but you’re only dealing with a 26% increase in health and damage compared to the original numbers
