Man if you think loot is the end goal in this game… we don’t play at the same level.
Loot is and will always be just a mean to an end.
Stop pretending already, if Blizzard nerf M+ ilvl by 3 points at this exact moment, you’d be there complaining that you have to raid to M+ (you dont.)

Let’s also not pretend that if raid item levels were arbitrarily lower, it wouldn’t also collapse.
M+ is competitive. Raiding is not. That’s the difference in the content. As long as bosses die, raiders are happy. M+, the goals is always faster, higher keys.
Raiding is binary. M+ is a spectrum.

If raiding is competitive i’m sad to announce to you that you already lost. Liquid won the game a while ago already.
I moved the goalpost because I’m of the mindset that Heroic has no business being even remotely difficult to any even remotely competent group of players.
Sepulcher tried making Heroic legitimately hard, and raiding was in full-blown crisis mode because of fights like Anduin and Rygelon.
That’s what you M+ wants, you literally complained about raid trinket.
Do you even know how powerful trinket like Puzzlebox is? Do you see many M+ nerds complained that its too overpowered?

Because deep down they know this, they know where their popularity comes from, any M+ ers that say “I do M+ for fun” is lying to you, that includes you.

Not a fair point of comparison: Blizzard specifically nerfed the living daylights out of Puzzle Box going into 10.1 because it would’ve been head and shoulders ahead of everything else for Unholy if they didn’t do so.
A lot of people very, very much complained about trinkets like Puzzle Box, just as they complained about Soulletting Ruby, IQD, Blood-Spattered Scale, etc. and just as many of us are busy riding the Spoils of Neltharus treadmill because this tier has absolutely nothing in the way of good 2-minute trinkets.
I guess you didn’t watch the world first race then? Also, where are your Mythic raid clears, Mr. Heroic raider. Not good enough for Mythic raids?
Edit: Notice how any thread that criticizes M+ is met with like the same 10-15 posters. I’ve been seeing the same guys post for years, clogging up these forums with their same lame replies. Where is Akston at, he usually is all over these M+ thread. The rest of those guys I got on ignore.

It is a fair comparison, its literally so broken that a trinket 20 ilvl higher from the next patch can’t even compete with it.
And M+ers has been living with that overpowered trinket for 6 months with 0 complains.

Its really impossible to you to imagine that someone might enjoy something that you don’t?
I fully understand why people enjoy raiding, i just don’t. So i’m not asking for the game mode to be ruined, i just avoid it as much as i can even though i’m still feeling forced into it to stay competitive in my favorite game mode, but that’s fine because WoW as a game is a whole, not compartmentalized fractions.
For what? What class or spec still uses Puzzle Box over Irideus Fragment this patch after all the changes it received/the giga-nerf it got specifically for Unholy?
…because M+ players are the players that regularly have access to said trinket? On the other hand, I’ve heard tons of M+ players complaining about Storm-Eater’s Boon, Whispering Incarnate Icon, and the Eranog ring.

Its competitive for the first week or 2 yeah. Which doesn’t apply to 99.99% of the raiders lol. For the rest of y’all, its just a fun thing to do with friends.
Oh and for the personal attack, check my profiles, i have my share of cutting edges. I just can’t deal with office politics in my video games anymore so i stay away from it. You guys made Mythic raiding as close to a fricking corporate job as you humanly could then wonder why most people can’t be bothered with it.
Bring back 10man Mythic Raiding and i’ll gladly consider doing it again.
Im not talking about Puzzlebox in 10.1, its no longer obtainable.
Im talking about that M+ dracthyr that complained that raid trinket got to be nerfed when he would never complained about Puzzlebox being absolutely broken for the entire 6 months.
