M+, 80%/20%; Not Playing Game / Playing Game

Imho, it’s telling when you spend 90% of your time making groups for content.

It likely means there’s a problem with said content in one way or another, if making groups is that difficult.

Most people want to play, nothing more.

Waiting =/= Playing.

Thats a personal problem a d not a systematic one though…people bypassing qualified people because they dont fit the “meta” isnt due to content.

And 80% of wow player base don’t even play M+

Well, if there’s any kind of content that isn’t ‘doable’ by PuGs and only clique groups, it’s a failure.

Needs to be accessible by a broad player base, otherwise it’s functionally useless.

In an MMORPG.

But that means it needs to made easier, but OMG don’t ever suggest that! The gatekeepers and people who take this game way too seriously will all come and unleash their rage against you for merely a suggestion

game already has multiple difficulty levels. If they aren’t supposed to be mean everything, just delete them and have everything set to “very easy”

If you’re okay with the concept of multiple difficulty levels, then you also have to be okay with the concept someone might not be good enough.

And here we are! Only took 10 minutes…

that is why blizzard needs to either remove the abomination that is m+ altogether or revert and adjust the changes.

make +6’s drop gilded crests and 1/6 mythic vault, like they used to in DF

+10’s across the board will be KSH and portals.

every key above a +10 will no longer require a key. instead you can only progress to the next level by completing the previous level or having someone in group that completed the previous level. then each time you run above a +10 you can just drop down menu whatever level your group wants or just pound away at the current progression level, whatever that may be.

doing this will make everyone that quit just flock back to the game. there was no need to ever get rid of max crests and mythic vaults from a +6. this gave people weeks and months to get the best gear and upgrade it and then slowly climb and work for their portals and beyond.

now in tww season 1 m+ is dead. the game is dead. my friends list is dead. blizzard pushed everyone away with their mindless changes.

If you’re spending 90% of your time sitting waiting for a pug to invite you, you’re doing it wrong.

… the OP of the thread, as well as anyone who ever tries to make a complaint about it taking time, are doing 10s or above (in OP’s case, 16-17s (!)).

This is literally complaining about “why aren’t there more people playing at the 0.1% range of the playerbase?” 10s less so, by A LOT, but in the context of this thread… The OP is talking about doing keys at 16-17 as being too difficult and being too punishing because one have to succeed at a key to rank it up further. Meaning that they are pushing to be part of the 0.1% and above players.

This thread is just another flavour of “nonsensical M+ take” that’s clearly made for trolling purposes.

No, the majority of my point is “It takes hours for me and my friends to play the content that we want to play”

I don’t care if there isn’t as many people playing the game at that level. I don’t care about rewards, I just care about my time and I would like more of my time spent playing the keys that my friends and I want to play. But right now its all about spending 2/3 nights of your week regrinding the keys that don’t matter to get 1 shot at the key that does.

Aint nobody got time for that, no one I know thinks its fun, it needs to change, and I happen to think changing that would make the content more enjoyable for everyone that plays M+

If you make keys never deplete, it won’t improve the experience for people who pug.

We’re gonna have to agree to disagree on this one… A lot of my guild progs on 4s-7s… The amount of stress they have putting their keys up and bringing in pugs is very high. Enough to were a lot wont play the content without 3-5 players.

I think that depleting the key is just a deflating experience. The only reason to keep key depletes is to force higher rated players to spend time playing with lower rated players. I don’t even think that removing depletes would stop this from happening anyways – Most of the keys I play in a week are 8s-10s.

Removing the deplete mechanic wont even make title more innaccessible… I bet it would make the reward more competitive, given the barrier to entry (the copius amount of time you have to spend to get the key) would be removed. I’d imagine m+ participation would increase.

More people playing the game = good.

As someone who hates m+, the only way you’re getting me back into keys is undoing the terrible key squish from DF. I was one of those people who really enjoyed the easy keys just spamming old 2-6 keys a bunch for fun and now I have not even entered a mythic dungeon this entire expansion and yet I’m almost 626ilvl which is perfect for the heroic raiding content I do. If we can just get gilded crests to drop from chests in delves I’d never even have a reason to play m+ not that I would anyways unless they undo the squish.

No, it’s so the group finder is self-vetting. Anyone who doesn’t belong is sent down.

Else someone buys a carry, plagues +10s for a week.

I completely agree with this, the key number is pretty abstract in the first place.

I don’t think Blizzard is going to budge on key depletion. But there is no reason why M+ keys need to be attached to a dungeon. It should just be a generic key level that can be used in any dungeon’s Font of Power (for the current season).

The differing loot, and the rating system and it’s rewards already provide enough incentive to run all the dungeons. This fear blizzard has that players will only run certain dungeons if they can pick the dungeon already happens in the current system anyway. Those players just queue for other people’s keys for hours creating a situation that is not fun for anyone. Also, if 1 dungeon is so much more popular than the rest maybe they should look into why. The most likely reason is that it is just easier than the rest. So maybe do a better job balancing the dungeons.

Given the changes to crests coming on tuesday, it’ll be easy to farm up gilded crests. You will have the gilded crests you need. I have enough lesser crests on my main to make 165 of them.

You lose rating and have to regain it…

Yeah, wiping and having a massive repair bill is fun. I bet guilds that have been holding lock outs for weeks to try and finally kill a mythic boss are just loving it…

While true, not all 230 pulls will be early P1 resets like that.

At worst, half of those will be, and you’re realistically seeing the last a couple dozen times before you kill it.
