I think that the first time a player tries to queue for a random normal dungeon, and they’ve never tried any follower dungeon, a popup should suggest they start there. They can decline and never see that popup again. But if they click “accept”, the follower page of the dungeon finder would automatically pop open.
There are probably more threads about this than all the speed runs that have ever been done combined.
Hopefully blizzard will pay attention and retune the dungeons then.
“They should play with bots” is a great way to make new players wonder why they don’t just play another game altogether.
Yep, this is another fake forum-only issue.
Meanwhile, half of GD swears the solo casual players are the vast majority.
Players will respond to the design of the game. If you design a game that encourages players to be solo casual, that’s what you’re going to get.
WOW has always been more group focused and people continually ask for more solo stuff. The game is following player demand. Whenever stuff is locked to group content, people rage.
It’s much the same when players will screech about how dungeons are too fast, but will lose their mind if the tank in their group dares to go slowly.
I dont think Ion added Follower Dungeons for his health, lol
another reason not to tank.
One group will kick a tank for being slower
the next will kick a tank for being faster.
Half expecting a group to kick a tank for going at a perfect speed, lol
gonna have to get blizzard to funnel new players into dungeons with other new players. just like the newcomer chat. murloc heads with murloc heads.
i dont mind helping out my fellow player. but when i get home from work, shower then eat and got an hour or 2 to squeeze out a few dungeons whether it be leveling a new alt of running some m+, the last thing i want to do is teach someone their class / spec / rotation. srynotsry
That’s what I’m saying. People are asking for more solo content, which is driving the design. As opposed to their argument that the design is driving more people to play solo.
ugh…im sorry…Im doing like 73 things at once here, 14 tabs open, talking to the wife in text, TV is going, Trying to get a plan to work on my car tomorrow…totally distracted and evidently missed your point…very sorry
People showing their true colors and telling on themselves in their OP nowadays? Le sigh. I miss 2010 level trolling.
On a fun note. Logged in this morning on a Warlock alt, level 70, while waiting for coffee to brew. Queued up for some Classic TW. Landed in one of those speed run power leveling groups. Went from 70-75 in a single cup of coffee before logging out and heading to work.
Just sat there and sipped coffee while checking some end of year tax stuff for the business, making sure to hit accept 2x every 7-8 minutes lol
Let them rage. People usually do not know what is good for the game.
I have had this happen to me several times.
I’ve always been DPS. I don’t know anything else. However, I’m trying to learn how to tank. I PUG, but I get people bailing on the group because I’m being too methodical.
The same thing happened to me when I tried to heal. Healers are rare, in most realms. So, I would have thought seasoned players would be happy to help a new healers learning their spec.
I guess that just depends on the group. I try spec-ing with the guild, but sometimes I have to use a PUG.
It’s nice to see someone who is trying to look out for others.
Try communicating
Theres rarely any new blood or even trying new roles. Most people expect you to know what to do in a 20 year old game
Most encounters where someone mentions from the beginning that theyre new at xyz, people are more forgiving and even helpful on occasion
This thread really reiterates to me how awful gamers mindsets are now and it’s no wonder why most game communities are utter trash.
I’d agree, but the people in charge don’t seem to think it’s worth the risk of sub losses.
