Low honor is making people quit

all you do is ignore the issues we mention and try to justify the problems that are happening it is completely pointless responding to you at this point

All I keep hearing is a demand that the gear be more obtainable when if everyone is at the same level of having to grind for it…it’s not like you can’t pvp and grind for it over time.

It’s not low honor gains either, it’s the complaint that not enough players are pvping on both factions leading to higher queues which…well horde always had very long queue times and Blizzard can’t force more alliance to pvp.

So…do season 1 in what you have, much like we had to do in season 1 2007

Fix this please

great news. the more horde that quit, the better your queues will become.

I suggest you all unsub and list low honor and bg wait time as the reason. If they make a change before your sub is up, then keep playing. If they don’t, well, it’s not worth the headache of farming bgs like this, go find a new game. I was farming honor 10 hours a day and realized how dumb it was(not trying to repeat vanilla title grinding), since it will take weeks to get 1 piece of blue pvp gear.

Blizz won’t listen unless you put your money where your mouth is.

Sadly Alliance are quitting just as much which will actually make the horde queues even worse. Even though Horde queues are longer, Alliance are generating just as low of honor per hour in the 300-400 range or if you’re lucky, 700-800 if you squeaked out 2 good AV wins in an hour albeit that is a very rare scenario. Ally are looking at a 300+ hour grind for a blue quality entry level pvp set of gear equivalent to dungeon blues from regular dungeons, while Horde still have it slightly worse.

People are stopping queueing on both sides, but for every handful of Horde that may quit it only takes 1 Ally player to be disincentivized by how bad the honor grind is to quit and even that out to keep Horde queues in a horrible state.

Fixing the honor calculation to make it not absolute trash would incentivize more people on both factions to queue, which would help out the Horde queue times.

does this mean the toxic pvp community will finally move on to ruin some other game? sounds like a win win.

Not sure people are trying to respell ‘Classic’ into ‘Retail’.

You must be new here.

this.

if you quit for lack of honor, then you are dishonorable.

the only benefit of the long horde queues is that at least your groups end up caring enough about the bg to actually play so they can maximize honor. Some of the alliance teams just go afk after their first death lol

This was the first non-douchey, non-andy reply to the OP, and I agree with it.

This. I convinced a couple friends who only started playing in later xpacs to come give TBC arena a go but have just been defeated by the unreasonable honor grind to just START playing the game.

Yeah man, screw those people who aren’t willing to put up with a 300+ hour grind to obtain a blue quality entry level set of pvp gear. Meanwhile in that amount of time PvE players will be in full craftable and raid epic BiS, exalted with each faction, and probably able to do that same thing on an alt as well. Oh and you wanted to play both of those parts of the game in PvP AND PvE? Well good luck chief. Maybe you’ll be done with that before Black Temple comes out.

PVPers mostly want to get their gear then spend hours PVPing.

The baseline gear for pvp should probably be as farmable as the pve gear.

Pve server alliance have none of these downsides. By your logic should they have longer queue times?

Very well put. A simple concept that I feel like most people are missing. The grind for entry level gear should be comparable to PvE gearing, but right now its more than 10x worse of a time investment. They could literally boost honor generation by 5x and it’d still be twice as long to gear in pvp than in pve to be prepared for raiding. People aren’t asking for welfare gear just to sit at the top and look shiny. They want to be able to compete in PvP without getting 1 shot or hitting like a wet noodle and it’s a massive barrier of entry keeping them from doing so.

I’m in the same boat . Launch was a blast with 3 of my IRL friends, but after a day of queueing they were all so disincentivized that they’ve cancelled their subs and just told me to let them know if Blizzard fixes it. Anyone who is a “casual” player is actually dead in the water with this current grind.

Did you not want to play classic WotLK? Because that’s how you don’t get to play it ever.

People like you are hilarious. Instead of recognizing the game has design failures that should be corrected you cling to a small minded, tribalistic point of view that does nothing but make the game worst.

not necessarily, they will get worse unless only horde players are leaving

I don’t ever remember the PVP honor being this slow at any point ever. I remember the bottleneck was the badges actually…

Something has gotta be wrong, but maybe??? Maybe I just remember it completely wrong?
