Low honor is making people quit

Completely disagree… Oh hey you want to do pvp? You can’t choose horde if you want to do so what kind of terrible joke is that are you kidding me?

pros and cons for everything. want to win in group bg pvp, go horde. everyone and their mother has, con = long queue times. alliance complaining always about losing but usually they dont realize that instant queues is the way to go, and you may get a win here or there. who gears faster? dont have a clue … maybe it evens out at the end?

Anyone who enters the game now and wants to pvp and they choose horde either didn’t look it up or didn’t bother to rub two brain cells together. When one team has a million players and the other team has a thousand players then those on the million player team has to wait their turn. It’s MATH and math doesn’t lie.

There is a solution. I can’t make anyone take it and don’t want to make anyone take it. But that point needs to be hammered home.

Advocate for a week long free faction transfer service and you and I can lock arms in unity.

Look i spent 62 mintues to get an AB pop where ally was ALREADY 5 capping, lost in 15 seconds then i got a EOTS pop out of the AB into a alliance pre made where we lost 2000-0 and no lie got 2 HKs 100 honor for 1 hour of my time. The entry level set is completely unobtainable and needs to be addressed

Damn I’m so sorry you’re missing that 1 slot from H. Steamvaults after you were able to fill out your entire pre-BiS set, and also likely have obtained multiple pieces of Epic Raid BiS gear before a PvP player was able to farm more than 3 pieces of entry level Blue gear.

I think there are many solutions to make here to make this gear actually obtainable

It wasn’t cheap in 2007 either, it was never meant to be easily grinded out in a day and in arena season 1 most people were in pve gear and a few resilience pieces they picked up questing.

my god… NOBODY IS ASKING FOR IT TO BE OBTAINABLE IN ONE DAY what are you reading?

Let’s be real fam if anything good was going to happen to pvp community we should have realized the shaft end of the stick was coming. Anytime anything nice happens pvp wise we don’t see or hear anything about nice pvp related stuff and have floods of PvE players dogging on us.

TBC the xpack that made pvpers hopeful since Retail killed off pvpers soon as they removed world defense in legion and made warmode and axe pvp servers. I agree the pvp vendors was a perk in SL but still wasn’t all that needed to be done to take the nail out of the coffin. To many trash systems.

Now as TBC is here and most the sweats are 70 and gearing while the casuals slowly make it in will all realize how bad the situation of gearing is in pvp. I just don’t see blizzard fixing this. bad Honor, Bad Queue’s, Season 2 pvp pieces being in season 1 vendors. This is a straight up mess bois. I wanted to play TBC hardcore for the wpvp but now I just gave up all faith since I know what blizzard is now that I’ve grown up.

I’ve gotten 2 pieces from non stop heroic and dungeon grinds, rest I have crafted.

You could get 2 pvp pieces from spirit shards right now and several quest items and it would be more than zero gear you have here sitting here crying about it

Well on that we agree. The entry level stuff should be quicker. That’s just a matter of adjusting honor rates and maybe allowing a backfill bonus so getting stuck like you did isn’t a total waste. The good stuff should take a long time though.

There are so many ways it can be fixed, I just want my blue set so I can do arena i’m not asking for it to be handed to me i’m willing to farm it out, just frustrated when it takes more than 200-300 hours to acquire these items… and that is not okay. atleast you can agree that it should be quicker and that’s all i’m trying to say here

I have both of the spirit shard pieces. But this is just you dodging the issue at hand, that it should not take 300+ hours of raw BG farming to farm a set of blue pvp gear equivalent to normal dungeon gear. It didn’t back in retail TBC, and it shouldn’t now.

Seems like the only people defending these incredibly inaccurate honor rates are the ones who didn’t farm it back in the day and ESPECIALLY aren’t queueing BGs now. Or likely, both.

It took a long time back then too, but we were all 15 years younger too

Could you imagine how up in arms the PvE side of the community would be if Blizzard did this on that end? Blizzard comes out tomorrow and announces: “Hey, in order to make PvE gearing in line with PvP gearing we are going to say you have to spend 300 hours accumulated time farming regular dungeons until you can go into Karazhan without getting 1 shot by every mob in the dungeon. Good luck players.”

People would be quitting left and right.

There is no point, just trying to argue with you for no reason

If everyone is struggling to gear, then obviously you wouldn’t be getting one shot by someone else in low amounts of pvp gear so…what’s the issue here?

People have the gear from PRE patch bugged honor gains that never got reverted and people getting S2 items from the vendor that still hasn’t been fixed

You had 2 weeks to honor cap if that was what was so important to you.

Your lack of understanding is astonishing, but I’ll explain it in case there are others lurking the thread who also don’t understand. PvE gear still allows you to have higher damage, while being much squishier since you opted not to wear PvP gear which contains the critical stat, Resilience. This is especially important for healers. When a PvE geared rogue opens on you with a cheap shot and you have little to no resilience, you literally die in a cheap shot/kidney combo. If you trinket the kidney, you will just get blinded and he’ll reset and kill you in a new cheap/kidney combo. There are countless other examples like mages killing you in a single shatter or warriors pumping unhealable damage into you when you have no resilience to mitigate the pressure.

When the game requires you to have that resilience as a barrier to entry just to even play the game, let alone be competitive in an arena setting, then it’s obvious that people are frustrated by the system. My options as a healer are to spend 300+ hours farming BGs for an entry level set of gear to not get stomped in every opener, or to just quit the game. If there was another way to circumvent this garbage system, we would have already opted for that solution and we wouldn’t be bringing this issue to light on the forums.
