I love the new buttons changes, I didn’t notice anything about cooldown or other animations. They may well be there, but they certainly didn’t catch my eye.
But the new buttons did, and those are great!

Mostly, people just seem to dislike change for the sake of change, if we’re going to have to adapt to something that’s objectively better, that’s cool, but messing with things just for the sake of it can get annoying.
I have no words. Are you okay? Or are you just a troll I need to flag?
You’re going way too hard over something so small, I’m sure it took them like 30 minutes.
And if you could take 2 seconds to look beyond your pompous attitude, you’d realize I said if they wanna make these changes, then fine. But give us a choice.
I blame Blizzard, not the specific individual who made this crap. Take your false concern for a dev elsewhere.
What info is being given that wasn’t already??? What are you even on about lmao.
I have done what I am able to - which isn’t a lot to begin with - outside of entirely replacing the default UI, which I do not want to and should not have to do.
And you sound like a pompous s’wit. Get over yourself and learn to read before mouthing off at people.
Ugh…
Great, gonna be stuck with a weird UI until my addons are updated again.
Such fun!
Again why can’t they just let us choose which UI we want to use …either the old or the new one …it would make many many players quite happy if they did it that way.
people have been asking for changes for years.
just because YOU didn’t ask for them, doesn’t mean other people didn’t.
bind it? = no more looking for it.
which “old” one?
how many versions should they maintain?
surely it’s better to just have one version, and people can modify it as they choose?
You are just being reluctant to change.
Remember this, as a life lesson: Change is good.
Lol I’ll pass on your life lesson because it’s just innately wrong. Gas going from $1 to $4 tell me is that a good change? I got no benefits from these changes, they are just minor annoyances that add up. I was used to the old glowing animation and the GCD cooldown, now I have to get used to a new one that isn’t some kind of vast improvement.
Good for them, they still managed to make it awful for just as many people as requested changes.
This is why toggles are good. Everyone is happy that way!
Quit being obtuse just because you like it. I’m glad you do! And no one is asking (or at least, I’m not) for it to be taken away from everyone. I just want us to have a toggle, so those of us who preferred things the way they were before, can return to that.
Options are good. Forcing things on people isn’t.
oh rubbish.
there is nothing which could make everyone happy, and you know it.
I didn’t say I like it, I haven’t spent enough time with it to figure out if I like it or not.
…but I’m not going to go directly into tantrum mode without at least giving it a couple of weeks to see how I feel about it.
Funny how they can’t seem to figure it out and have to change something about the UI every patch now.
Okay grandma, let’s get you back to your nursing home. Change is bad, we know.
Do you not think Edit Mode literally exists for this reason? Imagine thinking this is a bad thing to complain about.
This is why people use addons.
What a rubbish statement.
People would be happier having a toggle choice of what UI design to use, rather than one camp being unhappy and annoyed at their UI being forcefully changed to such drastic and unnecessary degrees - while those happy with it, or ‘ambivalent’ like yourself, act like pompous trolls because people are rightfully annoyed by a forced UI change they didn’t want and cannot get rid of outside of having to resort to UI addons.
I don’t need a couple of weeks to see how I feel about it when it actively forces me to mess up my UI just to adjust to it. I already know I’m annoyed and frustrated by having yet another change I didn’t want or ask for shoved on me with no way to revert it, because having choices is apparently a Bad Thing according to Blizzard and some people around here.
not at all.
it’s simply not possible to cater to everyones wants and needs.
it’s the entire reason addons exist.
oddly enough, that camp seems to be perpetually annoyed.
looking at your post history, it seems there isn’t much you like about this game.
at this point, you’re just going out of your way to find anything to complain about.
really?
you’ve got yourself so worked up over this, that you’re resorting to name-calling, just because of some teeny pixel changes?
you need to take a step back and evaluate reality.
fine, be annoyed.
changes happen.
you can either roll with the punches, or choose to lose sleep over it.
personally, i’m too sleep deprived to get that worked up over a game.
if i find that i don’t like it after i’ve given it a good chance, then i’ll do what i need to, in order to make it work for me.
how much superfluous stuff needs to be sitting around in the files?
why should there be any need to maintain more than one version of the base UI?
you have choices.
you can use the UI as is, or you can use addons to tailor it to suit your needs.
It isn’t. But they can do stuff to at least try. A toggle would make more people happier, even if not everyone. Because they’d at least have the option to revert changes they dislike.
Denying that fact is you being intentionally obtuse for the sake of arguing.
Addons cannot and should not be something people get forced into using due to Blizzard’s inability to provide some measure of choice to people. Some of us like their default UI, up until they needlessly change things like this for no reason and make it arguably worse for many of us.
No, but you types sure like to be perpetually pompous about any complaints people have, no matter how valid they are.
I don’t know where you get that from, because I love WoW and often say as much in my posts. Your confirmation bias from what was likely just a few posts’ worth of looking through doesn’t make your statements valid.
Also, creep much? Imagine having no argument and having to resort to checking post history just to have a “gotcha” moment. Grow up.
No, I complain about stuff that actively annoys, frustrates, or makes my game time worse.
I also praise just as many things that make my game time great. You’d see that, if you’d take your confirmation bias glasses off and read beyond today’s posts where I’m encountering the former.
I’m not worked up outside of being annoyed.
I call people what they are. You act like a pompous s’wit for people wanting the option to use the old UI. Not take away this one, but an option to revert for their own personal preference.
You’re the one arguing something so stupid and nitpicky on a forum all day while some of us play the actual game, lmao.
Or we can ask for Blizzard to do the normal thing every other MMO has managed to do, and provide options for players so they can choose whether they want to use these new UI designs or stick to the old ones.
I don’t know what it is about that concept that you’re struggling so hard with, but I suppose I’ll say it yet again.
Being annoyed over changes that actively frustrate or annoy me in my regular gameplay, isn’t being “sleep deprived” and “worked up over a game”. Grow up.
People can criticize and critique new additions when they find them poorly implemented or detrimental to their game experience. We pay for our sub the same as everyone else.
Literally no functionality was changed. A toggle won’t push any extra junk data into the files that isn’t already there from gods only know what all other mess.
You people are so wild to argue against OPTIONS for others.
Or Blizzard can put toggles in for this junk so people have more choices, rather than being forced to live with it or forced to use addons.
Get over yourself.
What did they actually change? I’ve used bartender since they ****ed up the actionbar art.
The role indicators in LFG are much worse.
