Yes, please and thank you. My micro menu is now twice the size, the animations on my icons are obnoxious and I’m getting tired of downloading addons to fix simple things that should be options.
Still say they should of allowed us to pick which one to use the old one or new one…is that too much to ask for…
And considering how many people get annoyed every time they do this, and request the old options back, it’s clearly worth the time it’d take to get it working.
Quit making excuses for them to force stuff on people.
I want my UI to remain as it always is. Not for unnecessary and ugly changes to screw it over every. single. time.
It isn’t that difficult a concept to grasp. Toggles should be included for this stuff.
It’s fine if some people like it, and it’s fine if they wanna do this - but give us toggles.
The golden color of the ‘activating’ animation to my abilities makes it difficult to tell if I have essence burst or not.
The small comet icon that shows around us has too little opacity too so I can’t use that. The rainbow colors of it always blend in with a raid filled with lots of different spells going off and player characters, so I usually don’t see it and rely on the gold frames for Essence Burst.
Now I can’t really…
People not binding interface options with modifiers or keys on the opposite side of the actively used part of the keyboard.
Haha, are you talking about the number pad?
For some yes, but like for the collections panel I have it at shift+p. Don’t know why people ever wasted time past their first year of wow clicking the microbar.
The new proc effect on the abilities is so nice. The old one was pretty ugly and has a terrible glitch where it would get stuck mid animation so you have this big white flash on your hotbar until you use it.
I didn’t really notice the new gcd thing very much.
Mini menu is good but too big. Should have an option to turn the color off and make it smaller. Can’t check if it does server down : (
There are also new icons in the looking for dungeon/raid for the roles. I think they look cleaner.
Oh using the keybinds to open that stuff. I always clicked, have no problem with the current stuff I’m usually very adaptable to changes, so that’s why I have no complaints about it.
Again, that’s not as easy as you’re trying to make it sound. Configuration confounds design. It turns molehills into mountains.
“Keep my UI at version 1.X” is not feedback, and honestly is just eye-roll fodder. What do you want? Why wait till launch day to complain about something you feel so passionately about?
Do you dislike the animations? Do you dislike the default configuration? Do you have some aversion to something like bartender? I feel like that solves literally all of your problems.
Or do you just want to get mad about it? If that’s the case, just carry on. But if you actually want to affect change, then you’re doing it wrong.
It looks to be purely aesthetic… no function has been changed.
In other words it’s probably the easiest thing they could do with it.
There does seem to be a form over function theme to all these changes.
I, too, enjoy reading complaints online expecting dissapointment in game when I log on to be unhappy to then come back to forums to add on the pile of steaming complaints.
They gave animations to the dice for the rolls in raids, all of these things do seem nice but it leaves an empty hole somewhere in me. Especially when I noticed that an 8th month bug has not been fixed since Evoker’s released, and it’s been preventing me from utilizing my rotations how I want to:
So it tells me they haven’t really been focusing so much on the QA factor in functionality rather then… aesthetics…
It is easy enough to bother to do it. Other MMOs have been able to quite easily, even ones as old/nearly as old as Warcraft. What’s Blizzard’s excuse?
I already posted my issues with it in my initial + followup post. If you’re too much of a pompous, lazy s’wit to bother reading that before trying to make excuses for Blizzard, that is really not my problem.
Literally read any of the posts in this thread, and you will get all the feedback on what people dislike. Maybe do that before spouting off in defense of a multi-billion dollar company.
oh shush, the new UI icons look better
No, all companies are evil and capitalism is the worst invention of mankind.
However, a developer made this change. A person. Who was trying to make something better. Probably with scant minutes between other tasks. But no, endeavoring to give you more informaron was just a stone too far for you lot, and here you are screaming for tar and feathers because you can’t deal with a bit of change, and for feeling so strongly about it you disregard all the steps you could take to make it the way you want it.
You just wanna be mad, be mad. But you sound like a crazy person.
Once again, better according to you, I don’t are about what YOU like. I’m not asking them to take away the new ones if you like them, I simply would like the option to not use them.
Hi, sorry. I haven’t played in a bit and just had a quick question that I figured I would ask here. Have they added “double-tap to use”? So, if Earthquake is bound to 8, then you press 8 to bring-up the aiming reticule and then 8 again to cast it. That would be a great optional QoL for me.
They did it with the map.
Single button right next to the x will bring back the glorious low res full screen map. But the default is the new smaller compact map with the quest log in it.
Blizzard should do more to integrate popular features from add-ons into the core game. Its why the quest tracker is what it is, it’s why raid frames work the way that they do, and it’s how we got personal resource bars.
Everytime blizzard brings addon stuff into the core game, it makes life easier. But all of that other stuff can be toggled, this UI change should be the same in my opinion.
