Lost Time Warp Badges

"All of my time warped badges have disappeared. I moved them to my warrior and had like 26k+ and today I log in and I have nothing.

Support will not help and have told me to put in a bug post. So here it is."

I am reposting this here because I can not get anyone from Customer service to come up with a resonable solution.

Back when the transfer of currencies went live for TWW I consolidated all my currency. I had over 26k timewarped badges and then the next day they where just gone.

Since then I have had tickets into the Customer support and they have acknowledged it was Bug, that they can see that it happened and who it happened to. They said wait the team is investigating it and looking for a solution. I have the Emails and the tickets.

Then yesterday I reopened my ticket to find out what is being done. This morning they blaming me for deleting characters and they are only willing to locate 2000 and then put the Dread Raven store mount on my account.

This is insulting. I put in the time and effort to earn those badges and now they are trying to bribe me to get me to go away.

If they can grant a store mount they can put my badges back, they are just refusing to do so.

I need a real solution from customer support not insulting bribes.

Dang, when I played a different game I logged in and a character was missing the gm took about 30 hours or so, fixed the problem, gave me a free month of time and 40 potions that doubled experience gain.

I dont even want extra stuff or game time, or free stuff, I just want what I earned.

Well yeah I mean the gm i had fixed everything and it was copasetic plus he gave me a free month AND items.

Right so they didnt mean the cs forum they meant the bug report forum any bug reports made here will get tossed in the maw u can edit and move this to the bug forums.

Unfortunately, Vladimyr, there isn’t a lot that we can do. We’d have to be able to verify that you had the badges and what happened to them. At this point, any record of what happened to the currency is likely not available.

To be clear, there was an issue primarily with those who disconnected after transferring currency. I don’t know if what you experienced is the same thing.

That is not what they said, they said they were only able to locate around 2000 badges. Specifically:

Unfortunately, we were unable to locate the 26,000 Timewarped Badges on your account. However, we did manage to spot around 2,000 Badges across a few deleted characters.
If you’d like, We can help restore those characters, we can recover those characters for you.

Those characters are:
(Name Removed: 40, Name Removed: 205. Name Removed: 655, Name Removed: 360, Name Removed: 1090 and Name Removed: 455)

While we can’t restore the full amount of badges, as a small token of appreciation for your patience and dedication, I’d love to grant you the Dread Raven mount!

That isn’t exactly how that works. Granting a mount from the shop is fairly easy and doesn’t require verification of anything other than approval by their supervisor. Granting currency like this is another matter entirely and generally requires, as I said earlier, verification of that loss. Which is does not appear we have.

I am sorry, Vladimyr, but I don’t know if any more can be done.

The level of the Game Master is entirely irrelevant. It is about logs. If more could be done I would have recommended a course of action.

Oh… well you had said you didn’t know if more could be done. So I thought maybe someone else might know. Like I said, even if the currency restoration isn’t possible, maybe something more than a mount would ease his frustration.

In regard to the previous transfer that you have made, our dedicated developers are currently working on restoring this one for you, this process may take a little while to reimburse the Timewarped Badges again, but I assure you that this will be resolved as soon as possible.

And for now, this has been resolved for future transactions, so we made sure that you will not face this moving forward.

They did Acknowledge it. They did confirm it. And about the deleted character issues, that is the only place they looked which is contradictory to the above quoted ticket. AND the quoted ticket they said I would be reimbursed.

OH and I am vladymir I forgot to change my character.

And Vrakthris knows just about anything that can be known by a member of the Customer Support staff. If he doesn’t know of something, it probably doesn’t exist, but he was being modest and circumspect.

But if anything could be done to address the issue, it would have to start with a leadership decision on the Development side of the company, which is something CS is almost never privy to until it’s communicated to them.

But the GM response posted above seems to indicate that (a) the devs are aware and are authorized to begin to fix it, and (b), CS has been apprised and is being permitted to share that info with customers.

First off, hats off to you for being with us for almost TWO decades. you are practically a legend in our community, it isn’t every day you meet such some one who has been there since the OG day, it is an honor.

I understand that you are missing 26,000 Timewarped Badge. Let’s check that together, shall we?

Looking at this matter, as you mentioned you have submitted a bug report, I’m afraid that we, Game Masters, are unable to interfere at the moment, as the situation in now escalated to the developers, and any interference from us would disrupt the investigation.

Hence, I’d recommend waiting for the developers to fix this issue. As we won’t be able to restore any Timewarped Badges until the developers finish their investigation and give their final outcome.

With out a doubt it is, but, just have to point out that this was escalated. I’m sure the review won’t be favorable on your end, but it was pointed out that developers, not gm staff, ultimately are required for some fixes.

That does not feel good. Especially to a “20 year veteran”. That feels like a Cop-out.

No doubt, no one likes to say no, and no one likes to hear no either. But at least the answer is consistent from ticket to ticket. Even new players, or those long term veterans like us, get the same answer, no favoritism.

I do not feel like are consistent. I have one ticket thread that says it is a bug, they can see where it happened and on what character then on here and other other thread no one will acknowledge it is a issue and they cant verify it.

And the blue reply from Vrakthris.

I see that also, in both replies to your tickets, and that it was acknowledged and escalated to developer review, but could not grant the extra 24k (roughly) coins until the underlying issue was fixed. Seems again, quite consistent.

Well I opened multiple tickets and keep getting told the same run around story from the “GM” they won’t even look at my logs I have screenshots of the actual transfer in my character transfer list that they added but nothing I lost over 26k too! Lots of time went into gathering those

They won’t go by screenshots or your own evidence, this isn’t a situation where you can persuade them that you’re telling the truth. They need to find actual logs on their end that verify the amount lost, and it seems like in this situation they don’t have any. It isn’t that they don’t believe you, but they can’t restore things based on people’s word alone, it sets a precedent that can be exploited. So I’m sure if they are able to recover evidence of what happened they will let you know, but unless that happens they would only be able to offer compensation in other ways.

This has still not been resolved. And now the 20th anniversary is here and I can not use the currency I earned.

Well, the forums isn’t going to be able to help in this event. If they can’t recover them, they can’t recover them. Posting here won’t make them appear.
