Not really as rare drops, most are rewards from collectibles or you can buy them for certain currencies, also they’re obtainable during seasonal events, they recently started to implement pets as rewards for hard mode raids so that will be rare and pvp mounts are fairly rare in a way that not many people play pvp that much to farm them compared to pve players
So 0 content for Kaurmine? Cool I can be even less interested than the not at all interested I was before
Difference is Lost Ark has been around for years, has rave reviews and tons of content. Every game has their down sides, but the game over all is incredibly fun if you can tolerate isometric diablo style MMO rather than 3D.
Also to give you some perspective… Lost Ark for over a year in Korea was maintaining over 1 million concurrent players at peak hours, 1 million!!! from one single country. And years later it’s still incredibly popular in Korea. And their version is far far more P2W than the western release is, they toned back a lot of the “boosts” and such from the shop to suit the west tastes.
But honestly with the game being free to play, that means players should honestly be able to spend at least 15-20 per month similiar to a wow subscription to get some boosts and if you have a rough month financially you don’t even get locked out of your toons you just don’t buy anything… so that’s pretty sweet?
I dislike calling games “wow killer” or not i think the term is dumb honestly. If wow makes awesome content for 10.0 i might play it but for now I’m looking for a fun side distraction. The only real “wow killer” is wow’s own development team.
It doesn’t take 1 single game to “kill wow” it takes really bad wow development, and 1 or 2 other options out there people can play and get equal enjoyment out of. It doesn’t even have to be a game identical to WoW at all.
I wouldn’t even really call it an mmo in the traditional sense . Isn’t it more like PoE and D3? When I think of an mmo I think of like WoW and all the others where there are hundreds-thousands of people all in the same game as you in the world. Like going to Stormwind and seeing a bunch of people there etc. LostArk you only group with people right but you don’t run into any other players not in your group right?
Do they have raids and dungeons like all the real “mmos”?
When I watched a couple of streamers play, I only saw them playing solo or some maybe had 1 other person.
graphics look awesome I probably wouldn’t like playing in that style though I already lose my mind when somehow the camera setup in game gets messed up
I wouldn’t be surprised if they announce 9.2 release date tomorrow to match the lost ark release date. If not the week after given the esports events start on march 18th, and so we pretty much have to have 9.2 by the first week of march. Unless they intend to just release 9.2 onto the tournament realm, which would be beyond stupid but something I can see blizzard doing. I expect an announcement either tomorrow or next Tuesday, any longer and they’ll have to push their tournament schedules back.
Yeah sorry Isometric just means the camera view is looking down, you can’t really adjust it. Except when you aren’t moving around you can zoom in on your character and others to view the surrounding areas, armor sets etc.
It’s a fully open world game you see tons of people just like in wow. The server populations are limited by server only as are guilds and chat, but all group content (like dungeon finder, raid finder, random dungeon ques etc) is region wide (like eastern region, western region) of north america. So you still get the perks of que’ing with all the people in your combined region but you can enjoy a lower pop realm if you prefer that. Even the auction houses are region wide not server wide.
Oh wow. Okay then. I was totally wrong about the game then. I just know watching the little I did and hearing people always compare it to PoE and Diablo (which obviously Diablo you don’t see anyone except in a lobby and just create a game).
I might have to get it then to check it out.
Do you know what the difference is for like the silver, gold, etc. editions on Steam? When I clicked to see more info, it didn’t really say what the difference was or what they offered.
But what would GD be without posts like “I’ve never watched a single streamer, because I know they’re horrible people and make videos based on lies! But I’m starting a thread about this anyway!”
Yes, each founders pack has different rewards, just like when wow has standard edition, deluxe etc. The packs give you 3 days early access starting tomorrow at 12pm Eastern. You don’t have to buy one at all then you can play free February 11th at 12pm Eastern. The packs give you various perks, the higher you go the more perks you get. Like in the platinum pack i bought you get two different premium skins (northern law maker plus your choice of one epic skin for any class), lots of battle chest items like potions, resurrection feathers, silver, royal crystals which are a premium currency you can use on the cash shop (where you can buy more skins, mounts etc). In some of the higher packs you get a mount, a unique animated wallpaper for your character login screen that replaces the standard login screen, lots of other stuff…
just go to the LA website and compare the packages they list everything you get in each one.
Here is a video that the developers just released a few minutes ago, it has a lot of detailed information about the game, classes, gameplay, light touch on lore, etc.
This trailer has me more excited for any other game nostalgia wise that I can remember since… wow 2005
