This is not a good argument as I see my friends list full every single day og people playing…
As for loot its frustrating but I do believe it is better for the game overall and while getting drops is not has meaningful as it once was it is far more meaningful that it has been for the past 2 xpacs. I believe blizzard is on the right track and with a couple tweaks here an there it will be perfect.
Anima/AP/Ect. are not rewarding to get, no amount of that feels good as a reward. I go after them because I have to to progress, not because they’re fun.
It would have been nice if they added currency that could purchase gear in the same vein as WotLK/MoP. It was a great way to keep some content relevant (i.e. heroic dungeons) and provide bad luck protection without raining gear on everyone.
Who the heck iss talking about the removal of TF/WF? No one! Its the total lack of loot period! We had TF/WF taken out during BFA, and i sure didnt complain, because i had maybe FOUR between 8 toons.
But this, this xpac’s loot system stinks to high heaven for ALL of the players that are not M+/Raid or die. Thats just the sad truth of this total stinker of an xpac.
I mean if they want to up the anima reward for each boss, I would certainly not say no, but on the other hand I will almost 100% be at my BiS or as close to it as I can with what I kill before the next patch hits and considering that the content is supposed to last until then I cannot really complain too hard about loot scarcity.
Whether something feels “meaningful” is a personal emotional response. Whatever reason it feels meaningful to you is not something you can apply to others who are feeling demoralized and considering quitting, because they can’t play without the gear they need.
Such a disappointment that there’s no strategy involved, it is 100% luck and / or class based. more brainless content from a braindead development team.
And that’s great, problem with the way retail loot is designed is how new raid tiers completely invalidate the previous ones so all that work getting to BiS becomes meaningless.
Obviously, I don’t want to have the whole “Classic” vs “Retail” debate here or anything but this is one of the reasons why simply making loot drop less is not a good thing for Retail. Additionally, it’s not just the loot drop rates but the lack of rewards in general from doing content… it doesn’t always have to be an upgrade / item.
I wonder what you would have been like in Classic, when you had to roll against people, or get 4 drops in a 40 man raid.
Yes it is luck based, and yes it always has been, this is my question to you though… How did you not figure this out in 16 years? Is it brainless on them, or the person who keeps consuming it?
This is legit.
Classic you dont get anything byt a repair bill a lot of runs, how blizzard fixed it? badges.
No reason to not have at least 197 badges.
Why do you people keep thinking that what we’re asking for is a loot pinata?
Also, what is “meaningful” about this new loot drop rate? Please explain what makes it meaningful and don’t say that it’s because the drops are “rare” or “less frequent” because scarcity does not imply meaningful.
Lastly, just as I said in the original post it’s not just about loot. It’s about rewards in general. The 35 Anima per boss and at the end of M+ dungeons is a slap in the face and tells the player nothing more than they just wasted their time.
Also just wanted to point out that I guess when the same items drop more frequently they’re “Garbage” but suddenly when scarcity is introduced to the same items they’re “Meaningful” right?
So, the same items go from “Garbage” to “Meaningful” just because of drop ate?
I can’t stop laughing, picturing this little hairy gnome flexing…
And even with your lame dkp response, tell me how the gear rained from the sky back then for you? Even with those systems, there wasn’t enough gear and sometimes you waited months for a piece.
So again? When there was less gear overall, you felt like a god?
