Loot Scarcity

I’m not sure what causes more of a “Burnt out syndrome”, running multiple Mythic+ or w/e you chose to do and getting nothing much for your time or doing all of that but dealing with WF and TF.

Except it’s not. Getting loot to drop at all is the problem.

So either you deal with burnout from getting geared and running out of upgrades or deal with burnout from not getting gear at all. Which is the lesser evil? Why do we need to choose when there is no right answer?

And you know this how, with your tiny post count? Dude spare me the snark, if a lot of people are complaining it’s a sign that the player base is upset.

Pull the blinkers off dude and start forming your own opinion.

You have no idea about majorities, you’re just spouting the usual empty arguments about complaints.

Typical fan boi, don’t get me started darling, I’m losing all my friends I got so excited to get back.

Gonna tell me my friends list is also a weak little complaint department?

I would agree with you 100% it is a huge problem that the developers face in what or how they should approach loot distribution in their game. That’s why they get paid and I don’t.

I do not envy the task the Developers have to come up with working these problems.

The way they did pvp gearing is great. They need to do something similar for pve. That way you are always feeling like you are working towards a piece of gear. Its not a good feeling after doing a raid or mythic plus you get 35 anima for your time.

Exactly!

This might have been an error on my part but this is also something I feel like plays a big role in why everything outside of PvP feels so unrewarding / no reason to keep doing it.

Rewarding isn’t always loot, sometimes it’s the excitement of 3 Chesting a M+, getting more Anima, a pet, xmog… like you said, something! lol

see and I disagree, I’m not raiding, I’m not doing m+ and getting gear upgrades / anima to upgrade my covenant gear and working on leveling up my legendary, now when the next stage of upgrade is done on my covenant gear and it’s all 190 to match my current legendary then I will need to find something else but for now for a casual like myself it’s quite rewarding and have to balance anima for missions/sactum upgrades/gear upgrades do torgash for soul ash plus work on my skinning to get the mats to make belts etc. Lots to do for the casual (aka manjority) player base.

The forum is less than one percent of the playerbase. Not an accurate representation of the community.

Ok but you’re not participating in any of the content in the game, which is fine but this particular issue pertains to the main content of the game (M+ and Raids).

Of which, there are plenty of casuals who partake in both of those pieces of content.

Quests are the main content of the game. A fraction of people do more than lfr or lfd. Even random bgs have infinitely more people doing it. Just cuz its what you and your friends like to do doesn’t mean anything.

I dont tjink it will change wjen they were developing sl that is what they intended.

They can fix it quite easily (at least temporarily) as we saw with the loot changes to CN and TW Raids.

More players are gearing in pvp than in dungeon/raid content

THAT’S YOUR NUMBERS

They just made these changes recently. You should take that as proof of their plans.

No they don’t.

Is “loot scarcity” the new “deterministic gearing” of buzzwords?

(I agree, btw)

Yes they do. Random bgs especially now have a lot more people. Because of honor gearing. Even blizz said before as many people do random bgs as lfd or lfr. Talk more out of your rear though I guess.

They buffed Torghast, only a few days later to nerf it to the ground so people could complete it.

Don’t take what Blizzard has done recently to mean it is definitive / set in stone.

Is the issue that they need to balance loot drop rates for those who will run mythic plus over and over to gear for the raid?

If so perhaps a solution is to have a higher drop rate for loot for the first x number of runs per week, and after crossing some threshold the drop rate is lowered?

This would allow players who only run a few mythics per week with friends a reasonable chance at loot, while also avoiding the oversaturation of loot by those who run endlessly?

I think part of the intent was to prevent mythics from being a main source of loot progression for high end raiders.

Having a higher drop rate for the first say, 5 runs per week would help out the bulk of the players, while also avoiding “enthusiastic” players from feeling the need to run mythics 100 times per week.

Oh come on please, stop this nonsense logic.

Ok game is fine, no complaints, 99% of player base is completely happy!
