ah friends…i kind of remember those.
He gave a statement as part of a reply in a interview with Slootbag regarding gearing that they are using a model that shows it’ll work well or whatever. Going off memory.
I just used that into my reply jokingly that it’ll be part of their reply to rewards scarcity as them using said model and it’s working as intended.
Oh haha, I thought they had or used some actual useful data / models… silly me lol
Hehehe, no. They are god knows using what since they always follow up with ‘‘But we want to get more feed back’’ or something along those lines.
My guess is they went and sprinkled some ‘classic’ into shadowlands but left out the ‘lessons’ learnt so we have now a disparity among the top end and … me. lol
I refuse to do dungeons because of this.
Time, and time, and time again I’ll be the only one in a dungeon to go home without any loot at all. And if I do get something, it’s usually something I didn’t actually need.
While leveling my first character, a Ret Paladin, I did 3 dungeons, and then I did a 4th that was required for the Covenant storyline, and in all 4 dungeons, I only got ONE piece of loot and that was something someone traded to me that dropped on them.
I watched as each of the other 3 players got loot, but I didn’t. This feels absolutely terrible, and I hate the Personal No Loot system, it just blows.
“Drink. More. Ovaltine”
Yeah, that’s what this feels like to me. Some sort of distorted designers perspective on why Classic loot is seen as more meaningful.
I guess they missed the part where all raids and dungeons are relevant in Classic loot wise and the game has dungeon + raid tier sets + tons of other sources of gear.
Why should they? You’re still here. Nothing happens until people actually quit. Not threaten to. Not promise to.
Unsub for a few months. You seem to realize you aren’t missing much.
My sub is up in Feb. My first cancellation since retail began.
Sometimes, silence speaks louder than words .
I’m a PvPer and things are good for the time being, at least for the next couple weeks but after that I’ll probably unsub. I’ve said this many times in this thread but I made it because players who are strictly PvE are getting screwed over with this and for players like myself who typically enjoy a mixture of both (still mostly lean towards PvP though) there is no reason to do PvE content at all. You end up leaving the content feeling worse than when you started.
so like covenant + PvP gear + M+ gear + raid gear ?
So like, all of that gear will be irrelevant and useless in the next tier?
That is one of the main reasons scarcity of loot works in Classic and not in Retail.
This games core is not designed to support simply lowering rewards and loot drops across the board.
We assume this (and I think you are right) but we don’t know what the gear plan is for Shadowlands.
If we’re wrong, this would change everything obviously. Maybe we could at least get a response from Blizzard on that?
Are we or are we not wasting our time? lol
All raid tiers being viable again would be a huge change and would definitely fit the model more for loot drops being less.
Oh we are, but that is the best part.
i think blizzard owes us a statement about every aspect of the game.
is mind blast doing the intended amount of damage? they’d better make a post stating that.
Is gliding off the edge of Ardenweld a bad thing ? they should have made a statement BEFORE I did that … (btw answer is yes … you die slowly after gliding into the clouds)
yeah but that sounds fun
Oh I try to glide off every single building / cliff / etc. in the game. Oh and have you heard the one about the adventurer and the mad fairy ? well you’re about to !
Click everyone until they get mad it’s a goal of mine.
