Loot council is a joke

Bump
Lets keep this train wreck going!!

You joined a loot council guild. First mistake . Never join a Guild that uses any thing but rolling . I stay clear of LC or any of the other give your friends loot guilds .

LC guilds are great.

Hard disagree.

Donā€™t like any ML based system.

Yea idk I have no horror stories I guess.

I show up, perform.and collect bis.

Never had any issues.

Iā€™m glad you never had any and hope for none in the future.

Iā€™ve had multiple bad experiences and just donā€™t trust people, but that is purely a me issue. Itā€™s tough finding a decent GL guildā€¦ probably will gimp me out of raiding sadly.

OP is trolling hard.

If your main concern from a raid environment is the loot, than a LC guild is probably not for you.

Side note: Painful seeing OP complain about loot and bis when heā€™s using a druid bonus armor tanking staff over a MUCH better vendor blue statstick sword because purple and ilvl are more important to him than whats actually good

I happen to like Soft reserve.

You get to pick out what items you really want, but anything else that drops is free game.

That always makes me /facepalm. I can understand some things here and there as certain slots can be tricky if you didnā€™t know where to look, but Iā€™ve seen way to often "Itā€™s a better color than I have and I can wear it"itis.

Saw a hunter in world earlier in the week complaining that nobody will let him raidā€¦ was wearing the armor plated combat shotgun, full polar/windripper sets, with the monarch crab and owl trinkets. Like really? You specifically bought, made, or had made the entirely wrong stuff and are going to complain nobody wants you in their group?

Rolling is just as bad

Hope you are good friends with RNGesus

You left the guild specifically because someone else got the item.

That seems like a pretty good indication that you thought you deserved it.

I am his best friend. He gave me BIS weapons and one other BIS item in my first NAX 25 ever in WOTLK.

We best friends.

But he claimed the item that dropped is his BiS so he did look up the ultimate bis, just didnt bother to look into it on starter items(Pre-BiS) to be more useful in the raid

Actually he didnā€™t even do that.

Hunter set pants arenā€™t bis.

I know you retail kids arenā€™t used to loot council. But thatā€™s how it happens in classic. Loot in this game always had priorities

Tank > Healer > DPS
Veterans > New recruits
Overall raid progress> personal progress

Get used to it or create your own guild and do whatever you want or go back to retail.

Thatā€™s a bit funny because I saw a reddit post of Last Laugh going to the Unholy DK.

Since despite being a tank weapon itā€™s also UH bis.

The reasoning being you just killed the final boss of the raid, healers have it under control, tanks are tanky enough already, might as well make the DPS hit harder.

There are some controversial items. I personally think Last Laugh should go to tanks first. But if you read my 3rd point it says Overall Raid Progress > personal progress. So I can see that argument that when you donā€™t have any tanking/healing issues some items can get prioritized to DPS. Itā€™s an internal guild decision.

Fair enough.

Our first last laughs have gone to our dps and thats the way it should be, and I say that as guild main blood dk tank in a LC guild. Threat from autos is so minor from dk if youre freaking out over not getting last laugh over some other major items like tier helm youā€™re far more loot focused that guild progression focused, especially going into ulduar.

Prot warrior is different on the massive threat value from LL, but as stated youā€™re already downing KT, 9 out of 10 times youā€™re past point that it should be make or breaking your guild. UH dks do so little threat because its spread out between them and their pets giving them dps upgrades should never contest a good tanks threat
