Loot council is a joke

Doesnt happen

You stayed with a “corrupt” guild for the entirety of classic? Press X for doubt.

For most of classic i got along with most of the guild.
Most of the guild doesnt include the 5 corrupted council get it?
I actually got along with them too but lets be real it was corrupt like all loot councils

Honestly sounds like you take more notice when someone on LC gets gear than when someone who’s not on LC gets gear which makes it seem like they’re “funneling” where in reality they’re not.

So you stayed with a loot council the entire classic you knew weren’t going to give you loot? For someone who seems to care so much about loot systems I’m again pressing X for doubt.

I wasn’t the only one noticing this again thats why the guild imploded.

Tell me wise wizard…what are the arguments for LC over ms>os with soft res if the people in the guild show attendance everyweek and nax is easily cleared in Pre-Bis?

You can doubt all you want…I never cared to much about loot i just didnt like to see people get cheated i like wpvp and now with a main hand pretty early the rest of the slots was eh i can do without.

I was a rogue btw…hell i made another rogue same server on horde so i ganked both sides… good times on original classic indeed :stuck_out_tongue:

Attendance, performance and effort to help guildies are all taken into consideration in LC. MS/OS doesn’t promote any of that. I can sign up to an ms/os and not show up for an entire month, come back for one raid and get a bis weapon whilst semi afk the entire raid against someone who’s been performing well and rocking up every week.

Whilst p1 is currently super easy and already on farm, it doesn’t hurt to prepare your guild and have everyone familiar with your loot rules rather than switching them after the first phase to something else.

Ms/os suits casuals who aren’t interested in performing and I think it’s a good system for a casual group of players who don’t care about their parses or clear times. LC on the other hand suits people who want to put more effort into the game. There is no right or wrong loot system but different systems suit different players.

I think Knaztor said it pretty well.

Haha I come back to this thread and the OP is destroyed by fact checkers. Too bad you didn’t just tell the story yourself all the way OP, now you’re a spectacle everyone is pointing and laughing at. Think a name change is in order on your server buddy.

There are no assumptions to be made.

You joined LC guild.

They LC the loot. Yes, some pieces might get rolled off (oftentimes this is because it is not the officer’s bis but the officer wants it and they just want to seem like they’re doing a good thing letting people roll as if it’s “fair” even tho their true intentions were to try and funnel it to one of the officers regardless of bis under the perception of fair. Most pieces will go straight to specific raiders. It’s up to the ones deciding, you know the LC.

You got mad.

You make angry forum post hoping for support.

No one agrees with you.

You turn into a child.

Moral of the story, stay away from LC guilds unless it’s you and your 4 friends running it.

Loot Council is Communism. Always ends with corruption, and the people in power handing out the fruits of other people’s labor to their cronies in exchange for the admiration of bootlickers.

Oh this one is easy

Efficiency and fairness. MS>OS SR promotes neither. LC ensures that appropriate gear finds the hands of the appropriate raider. This goes down multiple avenues as to what that entailes but a LC will see all the avenues and handle it appropriately. SR just tosses loot out and let’s chaos take control. This chaos leads us to the topic of fairness. MS>OS SR can lead to very lopsided loot distribution. Not everyone is heavily loot driven, but I’d like to think that everyone likes getting something new. So watching a raider get 3-4 items to your none is discouraging. Your system allows this while LC stops it and spreads out loot.

Now I know you’re gonna wanna say “gIvEs lEwT tWo oFfIcErs!” But that doesn’t happen in a long standing LC. Any guild that would allow corruption to exist would have members leaving in droves and collapse the guild. The only way a raid can survive long term is with a healthy consistent core. And with corruption that won’t exist.

My guild is trying MS>OS SR in Naxx and to me it’s a disaster. Loot is lopsided and it’s lead to more drama in 4 weeks than we’ve seen in the last 3 years combined. It’s easily manipulated and lopsided in its distribution. If you like it do it. But as a person with experience in both LC is far less toxic.

Uh if you’re putting in free time to manage a guild you absolutely deserve priority sometimes.

Like, you do nothing outside the game to contribute and expect equal priority what?

Bottom line LC only works in theory like communism but it always ends up being corrupt.

And like others have said stay far away cause youll have douches saying officers get prio like this noob tauren ^ and unless youre in the circle jerk dont expect any loot until they get it first.

I like how NO ONE addressed the idea for a rotating changing of the council weekly… The circle jerk cant allow that am i right.
If you think giving control of loot to a circle jerk of friends is a good idea then lube up and bend over.

WRONG. I replied to you and told you that in my Wrath guild we brought 2 raiders into the loot council every week to see how it was done. Which you ignored because your mind is closed tighter than a book that had gorilla glue poured on it, so if it doesn’t fit your narrative you do not care. Or you’re trolling maybe.

^ Maybe it could have been worded better but I said that immediately after your post.

This is actually very common practice. Usually do like 2-3 LC members full time then a rotating 2-3 where members fill in to have votes changing weekly

My guild separates the LC from the officers. Being on one doesn’t make you on the other.

Man if this was OG wrath I would be calling you a wrath baby!

Guilds have rules. Those rules would have been explained to you before you join.

Im not sure what the problem is here??

BTW what is toxic are players like you. Stick to pugs cause gurl nobody wants you!

Are guilds still a thing? I’ve been pugging raids starting in TBC and got geared quickly and it’s just open rolls. I’m still leveling like 6 alts right now to level 80 while ppl do the first raids and than plan on jumping into pugs when it’s probably close to phase 2 and less competition for gear I guess.
