This thread can basically be summed up to “People with lots of money talks down on others with less money saying they are lazy and they don’t matter”. Strange, I’m sure I’ve heard of such behaviors but I’m not sure where.
Here’s the numbers you won’t post for the most expensive mounts in the game at that time during their respective expansions that were exactly like the brutosaur, being a gold sink vendor mount: 75.8% for the mammoth and 39.5% for the yak.
I know people who are still working towards the yak. Because it’s fun to do over the years.
Now they don’t have this vendor mount to work towards over as much time as they choose.
So once again, your argument fails. No one cares who buys it right now when the entire point is to have a gold sink vendor mount to work towards over the years. Which people did with the mammoth and are STILL doing with the yak.
Probably, but the tiger mount is nothing more than looking cool, which it doesn’t do very well. The brutosaur mount has an actual in game usefulness to it with the auctioneer.
They have reasons, but they didnt talk about because this came from a datamine (or they are feeling the foruns), one of the reasons is to give goldmakers a “season” reward, like a gladiator mount, but waaaaay easier to obtain.
Now we have a new problems, this is new information, littlefoot was not time-related before and you have a year to get it instead of years.
For some people this removal will be great, IF the bids at bmah starts at 20k… oh boy we are going to see some sub 2m bid, even sub 1m bid on low pop servers. The 10m bid will not happen so soon and this theory of all littlefoots will be capped is just a lie, why buy something with 10m at 9.0 if you could buy with 5m in bfa?? Also we are seeing some sub 8m Zulians, so we are not going to see a lot of 10m littlefoot.
lol okay, cool. We’re also talking about mounts that have been in the game for years and cost 120k and 20k and still only that amount of players have them? And according to wowhead only 40% own the mammoth and 50% own the yak.
EXACTLY. Because BLIZZ NEVER REMOVED GOLD SINK VENDOR MOUNTS BEFORE. Because people work towards them over the years. AND THEY SHOULD BE ABLE TO CONTINUE TO DO SO.
They confirmed the removal, not the reason, but the achiev implies a reason and its a strong theory. Its a season reward for goldmakers, but they should have said that about littlefoot or reverse the removal, because now people have a dead line.
It’s a bottom of the barrel scumbag move. Because what they’re actually doing is trying to entice whales to drop $$ on tokens. All at the expense of future players who might have wanted the mount the hard way.
I’m waaaaay up in the 3% club, take a look at my pet and mount collection. I’ve been making money for years. lol (and that’s just THIS account)
I think it’s safe to say I know how to work the game, gold-wise, more than you can dream of.
I have pets that cost more than some players most expensive mounts. So yeah, if we could keep nonsense talk out of the conversation like that next time and stay on topic.
LOL this your theory… they only problem is that if people were doing this, the price of tokens would be sky rocketing - but it isn’t. If you cannot afford the mount by the end of this expansion, you never were going to be able to.
I don’t know when I bought my first Mammoth. It would have to have been MoP or even WoD when I finally pulled the trigger.
Similarly, I finally bound a Sandstone Drake in Legion. I paid something like 130K for it. By far the largest purchase I’ve ever made. I’m not ponying up for the Yak.
Both of these were years and years after they were made available. Gold inflation is the primary ability that let me afford these (as the drake was probably 25% of Piddy’s gold at the time – not a insignificant hit to the bank account).
I don’t know when gold inflation would be high enough that I would dump 5M on a AH mount. It would be another few expansions to say the least.
