You made a thread whining about other people whining. You’re the spammer.
And assuming you only take 3% of 100,000 players, that’s still 3,000 players with the mount, which is 15,000,000,000 gold taken out of the system.
You know, like a gold sink is suppose to do.
And that’s being conservative with the numbers. Because we know more than 100,000 people play.
Removing a massive gold sink like this is bad for the economy.
You really shouldn’t downplay the sheer amount of people 3% is.
if it was less than 1% you might have had a point.
But 3% for something this massive is pretty large, considering how expensive the item is.
Are you trying to say that’s not true? Every few days some new outrage topic pops up and the forum is filled with spam, all that spam blocks out legitimate threads and pushes them back out to sea. For instance, the last few days has been Pathfinder spam.
Give it a day or two and this issue will be over with and the next topic of outrage will be brought up. None of these spam threads do anything positive for their cause anyway, they finally just end up locked or deleted since they are spam. If players would condense their threads to only a couple and then give actual feedback instead of, you know, spam, then they might get their point across.

I’ve never seen you outspoken against tokens. Those are the worst things that have ever been implemented in the destruction of the economy.

3% is just that, 3%. It doesn’t matter how big 3% is, it’s still 3%.
if it was less than 1% you might have had a point.
Yeah, because that extra 2% is something crazy.

Super ironic given that you’re contributing to the spam.
Trolls will be trolls. OP can’t even address the counter argument because they don’t have a leg to stand on. Yet this is the hill they apparently want to die on.
I’m going to bed. Work tonight. Let’s not feed the troll too much.
I would buy it if it was a flying mount…
Trolls will be trolls.
Someone having a different opinion doesn’t make them a troll.

Yes. Yes you are wrong.
In fact people are still shacking Blizzard up about the garbage guild permission menu, just because you are blind to a lot of things doesn’t mean everyone else is. You might be fine with removing content, most aren’t though.
Glad I am part of 3% that own this mount and many others that are hard to get now.
But I think its quite stupid to remove the mount and move it too the Black Market AH.
Id have bought it in like 2 years ok.
OP can’t even address the counter argument because they don’t have a leg to stand on.
I already addressed your concern, 3% of the population can even consider buying such an expensive mount. TCG mounts have been around since years and years ago and the same percentage of players own any of those also. The spider mount has been here since Legion and only 3% of the population owns that too.
it’s almost like there is a top 3% tier of player regarding gold.
When it comes to hundreds of thousands?
Yes. 2% is a big deal.
2% of 100 is 2, sure. 2% of 10, is .2, sure.
2% of 1,000,000? that’s 20,000.
percentages scale based on the base amount significantly. If you don’t get that, then that’s a problem with you and math.
3% of the player base, having a 5,000,000 gold mount is a huge amount of gold taken out of the system.
At this point I feel like you’re just being contrarian.
In fact people are still shacking Blizzard up about the garbage guild permission menu
That’s been thing for what? A year and a half? That also has a mega-thread, so the feedback is better observed by Blizzard. It doesn’t have 100 spam threads.

You’re literally killing your own argument. The spider is in the game for such a long time and nobody is upset they can’t afford it, it’s still there. Always will be.
The spider is in the game for such a long time and nobody is upset they can’t afford it, it’s still there. Always will be.
And in another 5 years, it’ll be chilling at a cool 3% of the population with ownership still. gg
Why yes. Are you starting to understand? It removes nothing from your elitism by leaving it in the game.
like me, a lot of players probably thought they would have the time to slowly build up the gold to be able to buy it whenever they wanted just like was and still is able to be done with the Mammoth and Yak vendor mounts.
now they are going to put it on the BMAH where it will not have a fixed price, meaning that even if you do get the 5m gold eventually you will not only have to wait for it to rotate onto the BMAH, but also hope that not many people who have the gold available at that time will want that mount, and thus will not bid for it.
currently mounts without vendors or special functions, like the Zulian Tiger, sell for millions of gold, and that was originally a “free” mount that just needed to drop from a boss. the Brutosaur currently is vendored for 5m gold, does that mean they will start the bidding at 5m? will they cap it at 5m gold to keep it in check with it’s original price? will someone come along and casually drop the gold cap onto it so no one else can bid?
so the point is, yes only a very select few had the mount but following the previous precedents everyone was rightly expecting that the mount would stay around forever like the 2m spider mount, and not get removed just to throw in a false sense of scarcity.
Do you think the mount accounts for more gold spent this expansion than things like repair bills and flight paths?
I would actually love to see if that statistic is written anywhere

I don’t think so. Everyone has to repair. A minority bought the mount.
I doubt it. If you’re counting the repair bills for every player in the game, that’s still in the millions. Mythic raiders in particular probably spend a premium on repairs.
