Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

I would disagree about my posts being nonsense and full of theatrics. It’s the other way around, sir/madam/etc. I’m allowed play a game that I enjoy and not agree with every decision Blizzard makes.

And yes, that is EXACTLY why I think it is greedy, and why it is indeed as such. There is no other way to see it, in my opinion.

I know what Blizzard was and what they have become. It is something I have had to accept. But that doesn’t mean I want or need to stay silent when they do something that I think is a poor decision.

Everything you posted in this long winded batch of vomit suggests you either didn’t read the whole post or didn’t comprehend it. To me, thats a little closer to the mark of what ails this place.

This is a terrible idea. We were never informed that the Brutosaur would be a time-limited mount, nor was there any precedent to suggest it was going to be. People have a year at max, likely less, to try and save up five million gold, which is a lot for people that don’t play the auction house and didn’t take advantage of WoD’s garrisons and Legion’s class halls, especially considering all of the things that were done to make gold scarcer in BFA.

What’s worse is that you guys seemed to have only acknowledged this because you were forced to. How long were you planning on keeping quiet about this, had sites like WoWhead not reported this, and people hadn’t started talking about this?

You guys haven’t even given us a reasonable answer as to why you’re doing this, which just makes it seem (reasonably so) like you guys are doing this to create artificial scarcity and encourage token sales, which in and of itself is horrible for the economy and people that rely on WoW tokens for their subscription. If people start buying tokens en masse, the gold price of a token is going to soar to unreasonably high levels without a method of gold acquisition equal to the inflated token price.

Shame on you guys. I know you’re just the messenger, but pass along that you’ve done something incredibly shady and wrong, and that it’s going to have in-game consequences that you guys likely weren’t thinking about.

I wouldnt have wasted gold on half the stuff I did in this expansion. Atleast with other removed items for the most part they’ll say it will be removed

Yeah. People looked at the Brutosaur as a long-term goal. Very long-term, considering it’s price. The price, combined with the deflation of gold Blizzard did in 8.0, meant that most average people had little chance of getting it during the expansion from the moment BFA released, much less within 7-12 months. There was never a sense of urgency because there was no precedent to suggest one was needed, and no warning that it was going to go away eventually.

Nobody should be blaming Kaivax for passing this along. In fact, he’s doing exactly what everyone should want him to do - passing information from Blizzard to customers.

But yeah, it’s a really poor decision from Blizzard.

Its more like he’s the only ear around to listen and we are desperately giving feedback and hoping for a positive response of “why yes this was a stupid decision we will not go forward with this”

The people in favor of this aren’t even really defending Blizzard. Like always, their overriding concern is gatekeeping. Making sure no one else can have what they do. Even 2 or 3 years from now.

Will the Black Market version start bidding at a reasonable amount or at 5 million?

Agreed. Even if its going to the BMAH doesn’t mean poo. Most people dont have ashes of alar. Sure hes on the BMAH, but most people when they do get him, get him from the raid.

For sure. That’s why I tried to make it clear in my original comment that my feedback to him was directed at the people on the other side of the communication chain, not him.

It’s just so frustrating seeing Blizzard constantly own-goal themselves because they keep themselves in this feedback-proof state. 15 seconds of consideration would have told them that people wouldn’t like this.

A mount becomes more valuable to me if it’s becoming unobtainable. It’s the collector in me :woman_shrugging:

another trash decision made by Ion and his filthy cronies. You guys suck

And that’s fine, if fair warning is given. Fair warning was not given in this case.

Yeah I agree. Removing this mount makes zero sense to me.

What I don’t understand and his is not official and only datamined somewhere I saw but they are removing the ah feature it does have so at hat point why would it be worth it to remove it from the game. I’ll be honest I’m not ranting nor will I ever attain this mount I simply don’t invest the time but I would have loved to have it. I’m just positively perplexed.

Its like a 2 or 4 year goal. If I knew this would be the limited case i would have cut spending as much as possible and been grinding in a more consistent maner.

Now i’ll probably burn out going for this.

Are they removing the AH feature on it?

i never cared about the mount or would have 5 mil to spare for it, but this is slimy move. never before has this happened with a vender mount.
