Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

of course your greedy company would think this is a great idea… this is so dumb and has 100% no reason to be taken out of the game :frowning:

Wow… You would think after all the s*** storm going on with Blizzard with not supporting basic human rights, banning people cause China said so and you have to bend the knee cause if you don’t no mobile market for you, WHY!! would you keep removing things to anger players/customers more?

You have lost touch with your player base and have been for some time. There is NO logical reason to remove this mount and the only thing i can think of is pure utter greed, like stealing the money the community (as in the players) raised with those toy sales and not giving what was promised to the the e-sports event winners.

My recommendation is for you to talk to your players/customers and see what THEY want so they keep paying you a sub and buy all those extra micro-transactions that you love SO much. I have played since beta of wow and under the leadership of that awful dumpster of a human Ion Hazzikostas yall have lost touch with what the game stands for and why the players/customers enjoy it.

But why? Where is the sense in making this mount semi unobtainable when it’s already extremely difficult to acquire?

I’m the opposite. I would have bought just the mount for a reasonable price, but don’t want the stuff I don’t need. The one thing I would actually like to have on it, a mailbox, it doesn’t have. Little Katy Stampwhistle is ok most of the time though, I reckon.

I worked very hard saving up for that mount. How fair would it be for them to take away the reason for purchasing it just because others did not dedicate the time and self-control it takes to earn the gold needed to purchase the mount?

People need to get over this “it has to be fair for everyone thing”.

If you do not want to dedicate the time it takes to earn something, that is fine. However, do not ruin it for those of us who do dedicate the time.

It was bad enough that the “it’s unfair, I don’t want to work for it” crowd ruined the water-strider.

You are not arguing in good faith. Literally the ONLY arguments in favor of this are “you had plenty of time” and “if you wanted it you’d have it by now”. This was in NO way sold as a limited-time purchase. It is the functional equivalent of the Mammoth and Yak. Everyone knows this, and your argument is garbage and invalid because you’re purposefully gaslighting people into thinking it was obvious from jump street this would be removed when that is just a straight-up lie.

They’d get better results and customer reception with a services sale. Really boggles the mind.

The amount of people freaking out of this mount being gone in 9.0 is hilarious. I bet you almost every single person who is upset would never get this mount even if it wasn’t going away. It’s a non-flying mount that has an AH. I feel this is more FOMO for most complainers.

It’s about constant, neverending removal of content for arbitrary reasons.

Except we can’t anymore if it takes us until after 9.0.

This is the only gold sink to be removed from game. There is only one reason they would do that: token sales.

I’m all for limited time rewards you earn through content. A gold sink is not content.

I’m not upset. Personally, I don’t really care about its existence or a lack thereof. I was never going to get it anyway. It just seems like yet another decision on behalf of Blizzard that is questionable at best. It seems like that is their default state. And THAT I do have an issue with. It’s not so much about the item as it is about the principle of the matter.

Content I have no interest in getting, now, will not bother me when it’s gone either… i.e. FOMO.

Have to pick your battles. If you’re arguing on the principle of the matter, then you’re just spinning your wheels here.

I’m voicing my concern about Blizzard’s blatant greed. To me that is a worthy battle to pick. Companies exist to make money, I understand that. But they have no soul. They sold that years ago when they made a devil’s deal with Activision.

This is one of the main reasons people have had it with this company. Despite wanting very much not to have to feel that way.

I don’t think already having 5 mil gold on hand cause of WoD and Legion gold making methods is “self control”. That’s having been in the right place at the right time.

Also for a lot of the crafting professions, we got hamstrung when benthic gear came out.

I agree with you. I know how much time it took me to save up the gold for the mount. It would be nice if blizzard stopped doing stuff like this, but sadly, until they lose enough customers because of how they operate, they will continue down this path.

First, let’s put down the theatrics and hyperbole’s, shall we? I mean, if you really think that Blizzard is just a greedy, soulless, devil-dealing company, and has been so for years, then why are you so upset now? This just seems par for the course and you’re now asking the company to change it’s business model from “the greed” you think this company is about.

How is this greedy? Because people will suddenly feel the need to spend tons of RL money to get the gold to buy a mount? I understand it’s creating fake rarity of the mount, but they constantly do this - through legion weapons, titles like that warlock, AOTC mounts, acheevs, all of it. All of that is where you’re given rewards only at the time it was possible. Who’s really going to freak out because they can’t get an AH mount in Shadowlands? You’re telling me people are really aiming to save every gold piece right now and they’re afraid they’re only going to have 4.9m the day Shadowlands drops?

That’s nonsense.

So… it’s FOMO… got it.

None of the things you just mentioned costed 5,000,000g. Beyond that - They’ve never taken a Vendor Mount seller out of the game before like this. We knew the Legion Weapons and AOTC Mounts/Acheeves were limited time. Blizzard never once mentioned this was limited time.
