Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

What peeves me is that my profession is ham strung by benthic gear then I’m given a time limit and a hard to reach goal at the last minute.

Thanks blizz.

What a perfect example of everything that’s wrong with Blizzard’s approach to the game lately.

Very disappointing after I thought Ion was finally saying the right things after the Shadowlands reveal. Guess not pre-ordering was the right call.

It doesn’t even make sense on why they are doing this. To me this mount isn’t even appealing. It’s a vendor item purchased with gold? What an idiotic decision.

Sigh

At this point it feels like the devs just gather around and go:

“Ok, let’s brainstorm some good ideas.”

“Sir! How about this and that and this?”

“Wonderful, you deserve a raise! But let’s do the exact opposite of all that!”.

But why, though?

This is pretty shady of Blizzard, and it’s just par for the course this expansion (e.g., tons of store mounts, higher cost of Blizzcon ticket, 3 different expansion packs to buy for better cosmetic rewards, retiring the recruit-a-friend mounts, the “get before it’s gone” pack of items, etc.). This is not the same company from the 90s and early 2000s. I own the brutosaur, but I am absolutely disgusted by Blizzard’s decision here and other $ grabs during BFA.

Are you giving them suggestions for how they can justify this decision because their PR department can’t come up with a believable sentence on their own? Good grief. The people that provide any defense for Blizzard, in any way, after the garbage fires they’ve pulled over the last 3 expansions is beyond comprehension.

Claiming that the mentally ill are suggesting Blizzard is stealing money too? Troll flame bait right there.

You need to go away. You are what’s wrong with these forums.

Blizzard is nothing short of a shell of the once former potential it could have been. It never lived up to the potential and now we will see this company nickel and dime its way to the bottom just to try and make a buck. This company is pure hot garbage now. I was thinking I might get back into this game but from what I’m seeing in these forums disgusts me.

Blizzard - you have a lot of trust you’ve broken with your loyal and veteran fans. This is yet another example of corporate greed, developer hubris, and poor customer obsession that will be the eventual destruction of your fan base.

I’m done here. These forums aren’t worth my time anymore. It’s not like Blizzard provides any meaningful conversations in these threads. They leave it to the defending shills to cover for em.

Ok, this i actually do disagree with. If we want more communication this statement is counter productive. A CM didn’t make the choice, he just confirmed data mining.

SMH… Blizzard. This isn’t the ZG tiger. This is a gold sink mount you freaking… I know the reason you morons are doing this, but as a mount collector and hater of this expansion and the direction of the retcons… cough I mean “LORE and STORY”… How in the holy hell do you think this is will make ME as a player buy into shadowlands? What are you gonna add a battle pass too? … “Better get this gold red shiny purple brand new gnoll moount while its hot in this season . OR IT’D BE GONE FOOORRREEVER”…

Screw off, as a mount collector, I don’t want to play your game anymore if you are gonna keep removing mounts, and adding store mounts.

It took anyone with a modicum of intelligence about 3 seconds after they heard this news to understand what was going on. If the terms “artificial scarcity” and “WoW token” didn’t pop into your head within ten seconds, you’re out to lunch.

totally agree no other way to see it

Absolutely terrible! Amazing greed on the part of Blizzard. Tokens at 180 gold is $600 to get this mount. Are you insane? I guess there is just no limits on avarice.

Best of luck with your whale hunt, Ahab. Hope you land a few bigguns to keep Bobby’s lights on.

How many years are we supposed to accept the excuse of “the community hurt our feelings so now we’re going to ignore legitimate feedback”? I’ve made many constructive posts in the past and there are countless others that are similar. Constructive criticism, state of the game feedback, feedback on class and spec changes with supporting data…

Developers have no excuse to not communicate with their consumers. Companies don’t get the luxury of feelings, especially when they milk their consumers to the last penny.

This is the ONLY mmo company who regularly ignores feedback and ignores their players, and they have the gall to say it’s because we’re toxic?

We’re angry because of the situation they’ve put the in regarding state of the game and lack of transparency.

So we’ll have to agree to disagree; Blizzard needs to drop the excuses, stone up, and acknowledge their community.

Just when the token price was reaching 200K gold/

There’s one other way, but it’s just as bad. They know there will be a long content drought after 8.3, this is their way of keeping people subbed until Shadowlands releases.

After the news that they weren’t removing the rank 4 essences I really thought they had learned. So disappointed.

I’m a firm believer in “if you want respect you need to give respect”. And i also know that berating an employee for something they can’t control is the best way to get the worst service.

I disagree with this as much as the next guy, but let’s put blame where blame is due.

“I don’t like this decision and will show my disapproval by posting about it on the forums and then throwing money at you.”

You are why they can get away with stuff like this. If you don’t like the decision don’t support it.

Greed. Pure greed. Got to sell those tokens right??

There is no way customers upset about this can possibly change it. The fact is, even if CONSERVATIVELY, 1000 players go full whale and purchase the $500 in tokens, Blizzard just made half a million dollars by removing the mount from the vendor. Money that can be seen as going straight into Bobby Kotick’s pocket. I feel for the people who pour their heart and soul into the actual world of Azeroth and the gameplay, art, music etc. Because Activision has absolutely destroyed this company. It’s heartbreaking.
