Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

It’s what happens when you’re more interested in defending Blizzard than presenting a coherent argument.

Back to the topic, some things Blizzard could do to help make up for moving the MCB to the BMAH:

1. Add one of the color variants to the vendor as a replacement.

2. Add another as a rare drop from somewhere. They could make it a rare drop from any Brutosaur mob.

3. Add another as the 450/500 mount achievement reward.

I personally think that 5 million for a mount is just sheer…something I can’t post on forums.

Everyone here arguing as to why Longboi is being removed has had since last November 2019 to start saving up and grinding out their 5M to purchase it, but instead has been sitting on their hands and not making it a priority.

There’s plenty of goldmaking videos on YT as to how to make raw gold daily if you just apply yourself and devote the time to doing it, and you all still have 3-4 months until Q4’s October (November? December?) launch of SL.

So why all the complaints?

What i’d like to be reading is how close everyone is to their 5M…

I don’t like this decision blizzard.

Leave the Long Boi where it is now.

I had enough in the first 6 months to buy 6-7 of them, 8-10 months I could buy a couple more, but by that you can tell that the further you get into an expansion the slower the gold flow is going to be. Just can’t believe those clickbait youtube vids and actually research how to make gold. It’s probably a bit late now if you’re just starting unless you invest real money into it but make sure your priorities are straight as I don’t want to see people whining they went hungry for like 3-6 months because they spent a grand on a digital item lol.

Ehh ive had mine for months. Still will argue it’s a bad move from blizzard. I would have had mine a few months sooner than I got it but I bought a magic rooster off someone for 5 mil and it set me back a little.

Unless you use the ah to post hundreds if not thousands of items it doesn’t really benefit you other than being able to access the ah anywhere you can mount, so in my eyes not everyone needs it. I still don’t think they should add it to the bmah but that’s just me, although it will still go for way more than the vendor cost I’m sure.

I never “needed” it. I just wanted a cool sauropod mount. That’s why I’d be super happy if Blizz put a non-AH model on the vendors when they remove the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur.

I was working on getting the gold for the MCB anyway, until I did the math and realized there was no way I could get it in time. I have only so much of my life I’m willing to give up for this game. I’d rather practice my instruments, work on my art, ride my horse, and write. Unfortunately, all of those take a great deal of time, and even if I had 40 hours a day, it wouldn’t be enough. (Two of those things are vocations, two are avocations.)

Saw this stream in another thread. In it, Ion said the Brutosaur would be going away with the pre-expansion patch, not the expansion itself like Kaivax said.

I was pretty much assuming this anyway. My only thread of hope is that they replace it with a non-AH model–but we all know how likely that is.

Players don’t like being forced onto a time lock out of the blue like blizzard did with this. At the very least blizzard should’ve and could’ve made proper notice at the start of the expansion. if not the expansion why not at the start of the patch? the reason they were and are being so secretive about this is because they KNEW this decision would be largely ill received by the players. The fact they have still, to this day, yet to make a post about this outside the forums is the absolute arrogance of activision shining through. They have had plenty of opportunity to do so like the survival guide for 8.3 as an example. Activision knows players won’t stop playing even if they are upset because they are too invested and are completely unafraid to take advantage of those players to the best of their ability. Blue balls Blizzard won’t even address the issue directly outside of the forums because they are at their core cowards and schemers. They want players to buy wow tokens so they don’t have the FOMO and it’s manipulative marketing at it’s finest. If total biscuit was alive today he would spit on the company he cared for. Do better blizzard.

Players don’t like being forced into content they don’t want to play. they like playing the content they want to play at the pace they wish to play it at. Bobby kotic needs to pay for what he did to this company, this game and to the children on epstein island. Ion needs to step down as game director and focus on what he’s good at like raid design. He’s too prideful and bias to lead the game in a healthy direction.

Exactly.

I completely agree it should remain in the game. In the BMAH is just an RNG prayer that will never be heard.

Each expansion runs about 2y and all news is posted on Wowhead and on MMO-Champion’s site as well as through various streamers, so halfway through the expansion is more than enough time for it to trickle through to the playerbase.

You’ve had more than enough time to get your Longboi, so why don’t i see it in your collection of mounts? Or are you just upset for the sake of wanting to cause an uproar on the forums?

I refuse to collect the mount because the decision to remove it from the game has ruined it for me.

It’s the principle of the matter, this mount was a wonderful addition to the game and activision tarnished it by trying to force the player’s hand. The decision to remove this mount was unprecedented and without just cause.

If they didn’t want AH all over the place they should not have made it in the first place.

No this was to create artificial scarcity so that they could make a quick buck before the upcoming expansion and as much as i’d like the convenience of the mount as well as it’s appearance (it’s a freaging bruto boi) I refuse to reward that kind of negative marketing manipulation. As far as i’m concerned if you have the bruto boi congrats i’m happy for you, but if you’re one of those people who after IT WAS DATAMINED that this mount was going to be removed started running the race i ask you to really take a moment and think about what i’m saying here.

how did they influence your actions by what they did here?

how did it influence your game play this expansion?

is there any possibility you would you have done other things with the time you spent farming gold if you knew you could still secure your own at your own leisure?

On the other hand would you have farmed more in advance had you been given notice that it was going to be removed from the start?

Would you have rushed to it the way you did once you realized it was going away?

EDIT: AND MOST IMPORTANTLY DID YOU ENJOY THE ADVENTURE AND EFFORT EXPENDED TO DO IT MORE OR LESS BASED ON THIS DECISION?

The answers to those questions will be different for everyone but personally i find it extremely manipulative. With the negative reputation activision and blizzard have both garnered internationally over the past few years when players feel this way they are less likely to give these companies the benefit of the doubt.

These little things add up over time, whether it’s the bruto boi or essences, or azerite abilities or warfronts or allied races or warmode or island expiditions this expansion promised a lot and delivered very little, one of the few things that was generally accepted without contention is now being removed and the cause of a lot of conflict for no other reason than blizzard’s own negligence at best and corruption at worst.

The way things are going They will probably make a video reminding people that the bruto boi is going away a week or two before they do it to pretend to care about the situation and acknowledge they could and will do better in the future (we see through you) when really it’s drive the point home that if you don’t buy those wow tokens you’re going to miss out.

It’s kind of funny… I decided to buckle down and get it before it’s gone.

I was good for a couple weeks… but then it completely killed my interest in the game at all. Haven’t played in months. Just getting back into it now.

exactly what i was talking about. This kind of decision drives players away and pisses off most of the ones who remain.

People play the game differently.

I see that you’re raiding mythic! Terrific! Hopefully you’ll down Mythic N’zoth by expansion’s end! But others prefer to play the AH or farm raw gold or run old raids… why is that so terrible?

And if you really want an AH, you can always get one in your garrison!

https://www.wowhead.com/quest=36948/auctioning-for-parts#comments

I have the AH in my garrison on one of my alts and used it a lot before getting my Longboi! You can too! The trickiest part is getting the drop from Ashran unless you’re lucky enough to find the parts on your AH.

The prices of the four pieces on your realm’s AH Anvil:
1- https://theunderminejournal.com/#us/dalaran/item/118375
2- https://theunderminejournal.com/#us/dalaran/item/118376
3- https://theunderminejournal.com/#us/dalaran/item/118378
4- https://theunderminejournal.com/#us/dalaran/item/118379

A lot less than 5M and more affordable to get your own AH, unless you’re dead set on getting your own Bruto, in which case, you still have 3-4 months time and that’s more than enough time if you make it a priority!

It didn’t actually “drive me away”, but when I realized I had no chance of getting the mount (without giving up a bunch of real-life stuff I care way more about than a video game), I lost interest in playing. This really surprised me. I was such a super fan-girl that I thought nothing short of Blizzard pulling the plug on WoW could make me stop playing.

But, I got kind of depressed when the goal I was working toward was snatched away. I found other (more productive) things to cheer me up. I keep trying to get back into the game. After all, there are still lots of other mounts I can collect. But somehow my heart isn’t in it any more. If it weren’t for my real life friends who play, I think I would have gone ahead and cancelled my subs.

When a truly sincere fan gets so bummed out by Blizzard’s many recent goofed-up decisions that she’s lost interest in a game she loved, you have to think less-invested players have also gone away. That’s not a good sign for the future of WoW.

To compare the two is asinine mythic raiders know cutting edge is patch by patch the bruto boi decision was spontaneous and compulsive. it’s like comparing apples and oranges. I’m not saying economy players don’t deserve their own rewards that are exclusive to their own field of play. I’m saying that the way blizzard did this and the time they chose to do it were both wrong.

they could’ve certainly been more forth coming and given players the proper time to prepare for such a venture the same way they give every raider the opportunity to get cutting edge patch by patch.

I and many others are under the impression they did this intentionally to scalp wow tokens with an artificial scarcity they created on a highly desired item in game and the fact so many customers feel the same way, whether or not that is the truth, is enough cause and call to reverse the decision.

In my opinion they refuse to talk about the mistake here because they realize that the player’s patience is running out with these kinds of [[[errors]]] in judgement and they don’t want to acknowledge yet another public scandal or controversy within their community.

They put you on an unreasonable time table short notice and you didn’t want to prioritize the mount over more important matters so you lost interest. They could’ve lowered the cost in the mount to make the grind more reasonable, or better yet just leave it there so players have the option to grind it at their own pace OR JUST GIVE EVERYONE A STRAIGHT HEADS UP IF YOU WANT THIS MOUNT ITS EXPANSION EXCLUSIVE!

You aren’t alone there are more of us every day. It’s a damn shame too because we want to love this game we want to play this game but they keep taking advantage.
