There’s your first problem, with a little research and elbow grease you could. If you really wanted to with some hard work and a little bit of luck, you can do it! i should have mine in february and i only started in november.
Not all of us have much luck. And “hard work” in this case really means “time to burn”.
But I’m really happy for the folks who are going to make it under the wire and get their MCB in time. You all done good.
Just posting to remind the devs that it would be really, really cool of them to put plain brutosaurs on the vendors if they’re going to insist on taking away the MCB.
Obviously this won’t be done if they were actually lying about their reason for the removal (too many mobile AH’s in the future). But I think that really is their reason, so brutosaurs without an AH vendor should be perfectly fine for us peons to purchase from the vendors.
Please!
… or revert this change entirely. Such a slimy move IMO. Do the right thing and hear the players requests.
all i’ll be able to do is run week long mining operations with my guild mates, my guild master has already offered to help. i’m planning on selling another token hopefully this month, probably gonna try selling five tokens this year if i can. as to your statement brother paladin I do agree they should do a 180 on this change, it is a childish move that only the corporate heads would actually decide on. in my opinion I believe their decision is forced by Activision but I could be wrong.
I wish you luck on your brutosaur gold-raising campaign. I don’t want to worry you, but you probably only have until the end of summer to scratch up the gold. October if we’re lucky. I don’t see Blizz putting off Shadowlands any longer than that (even if it launches with a boatload of bugs and unfinished/scrapped content).
well i thank you for the wish of luck at least, mining in Nazjatar is my best bet. and i’m applying for a job tonight online to a local restaurant to be a busboy. i’m hopeful they’ll take me as a new worker and i can buy more tokens to help my gold making, i’m not a whale by any means. i currently still live off a $30 a month allowance and a $300 a year Christmas club.
I’ve made a million in a month.
The removal is still one of the dumbest possible things I’ve seen Blizzard do unless they remove AH functionality from the mount too.
in my opinion I believe their decision is forced by Activision but I could be wrong.
I feel the same way. It reeks of slime and corporate overlordy scheming.
Hello blizzard,
I just wanted to reach out to you once more to say that I do not agree or support your decision to move the brutosaur mount to the BMAH.
Thank you,
Fezzy
I’ve made a million in a month.
Mind sharing how? Most of the ways folks do it I can’t manage (selling mythic keys and carries), but I’m always interested in seeing how people do it. Maybe there will be something I can add to my repertoire.
I feel they could add more reskins of the brutosaur. I mean, if i find a person with the original amani war bear, i know they were a prestigious raider in bc. The battlebear doesn’t devalue them at all. Also blizz could remove the ah vendor dudes on the reskins. I would see a person with the original brutosaur with the vendors and think, man, that dude did a buttload of grinding and cash flow to get that. That dudes a prestigious goldfarmer. Having other options wont devalue anything.
I still remain firm that removal of this Mount should never happen its a dig from Blizzard to those players that can’t spend many hours or were not around for WoD and Legion and able to use Mission boards to make boat loads of gold like me and many others did…its just wrong.
I’ve made a million in a month.
Yes, please share your methods. Inquiring minds would like to know!
I made about a million last month too - I had about 200k at the time that this thread was first posted, and then I though about it for a week or so, and then I decided that I wanted the mount after all. As of last night I had 1.5 million. But it’s not quick or easy, as a matter of fact, WoW has felt like work.
-
run all 4 difficulties of HFC on 8 alts
-
run LFR Pandaria raids (except for SoO, takes too long) on 8 alts. If any time left in the week, run some of the raids on Heroic difficulty, but they take too long to travel to, so most weeks I only did ToES and MV on a couple of alts.
-
sell spirits of harmony that drop in all those Panda raids
-
have 3 garrison barns going - one for leather, two for fur. One tailor makes bags, any leftover fur sells okay on the AH, leather sells worse, I might switch it over to fur as well. Also, savage bloods can be exchanged for ~50g at the trading post.
-
spend a couple of hours here and there herbing and mining in Zandalar or Kul’Tiras. Most of it going to the AH, other than making sure that my alchemist has enough herbs for the daily anchor weed transmute.
-
spend an hour once a week mining ghost iron in Pandaria, those bars sell because people need them to make Sky Golems (I’m not really bothering with it myself, I only have one engineer, and prices for Sky Golems on my server have cratered).
-
do any gold emissary. Check reps on my alts as I login to them, if they are close to an exalted supplies bag, do more emissaries/WQs on them to get to 10k rep. (I do the mission table on the app while I’m at work, so their reps gradually creep up).
-
I have several transmog BoEs (some pretty rare) that have dropped in all these raids I’ve been running, and I have them posted on the AH, but again, on my server transmog doesn’t really sell. I sold a couple of cheap pieces (~50-100g) and one item for 600g, and that’s it.
-
Any pets that drop in the raids - I level to 25 before attempting to sell. That’s just a few thousand extra gold to pad the total every week.
-
When I completely feel like I’m losing my mind, I fish in Nazjatar while I read a book or watch a movie on another monitor… That fish sells too, especially on the days when there’s a Nazjatar cooking WQ (on those days, I’ll sell both raw fish and the cooked item).
Yup, I’m surprised people put themselves through that torture - when a game starts to feel like a second job then that’s where I throw in the towel.
Happy Monday everyone.
Blizzard, please don’t remove all Brutosaur mounts from vendor availability.

That’s exactly how I’m feeling now, especially when you look at the post right before yours.
I’ve been trying hard to earn some gold, and more and more it feels like a job. I currently am still trudging along, but I wonder if I’ll get burned out sooner rather than later. I’ve been doing the HFC runs on my alts as much as I can to supplement any auction house stuff, but man that’s a slog.
run all 4 difficulties of HFC on 8 alts
Out of curiosity, how long does it take you to do each run? I get burned out each week before completing them all on each alt. Being generous, at 20 minutes per run, that’s like 10.5 hours a week of just running Hellfire Citadel and doing nothing else. Although that might net you about 96,000 gold selling everything if you get about 3,000 per run.
Putting it into perspective, if you only did that and started at zero, it would take a full year of doing that to get the gold needed for the mount. I’m not even sure I have that much free time to play in general every week, let alone use all of my WoW time to just run HFC for a year…
I can sympathize, lol… I’ve let my sub lapse because of it… sat at the auction house with like 200% more goldmakers crashing markets this expansion and after the brutosaur announcement has doubled that amount it feels that even when I’m on a ‘‘med-high’’ pop realm it becomes extremely not enjoyable when said server starts behaving like a FULL pop server.
I burned out on farming and doing emissaries on alts in Legion when I started playing and a few weeks back I was asking myself why I even was doing this if it hasn’t felt fun for me for a very long time.
If I can’t get myself to raid, m+ or anything else, I sadly had to bow out from a great world like Azeroth
Not to mention lots of other aspects of the game is starting to really feel like a second job with all the check - list stuff to do weekly lol.

Yeah, that’s about right - about 30 minutes for the Mythic one, 20-23 for LFR (less running), and the other 2 are somewhere in-between, depending on what speed boosts each character has. 4 difficulties net on average about 13000 gold total (depending on the drops a run can net anywhere from 2900 to 3400 gold).
Also yes, I spend way too much time playing WoW…probably at least 20 hours per week (although now that the holidays are over, I’ll be cutting back).
