Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

I didn’t mean what I said in a negative way at all, so apologies if it came off that way. Everyone has different amounts of leisure time, and it’s ok if you spend it on one activity rather than multiple. I just meant to point out that it’s daunting when you look at it from a 10,000 ft. view

20 hours per week? I easily play 40h and I’m pretty sure I won’t be getting the mount, because generating that amount of gold by raid running gets old fast.

Hello blizzard,

I just wanted to reach out to you once more to say that I do not agree or support your decision to move the brutosaur mount to the BMAH.

Thank you,
Fezzy

Thank you, Mathaylla, for sharing your strategy for making money. What you describe is pretty much how I’ve played the game for many many years. In addition, I rarely spend money unless it could bring me a greater return, or if it was something I wanted for fun (like the Brontosaurs mount). A little bit each day really adds up!

As for selling on the AH, that’s something I’ve notice to become increasingly more difficult because of farmers, people who use addons to automate their auctions, and deminishing server populations. I play mainly on 3 different servers and each one has their good and bad parts of the AH. For example, one server reliably sells Hexweave bags for 1000 - 1200 gold, where as on another server they wont move even at 600 gold because someone is selling 50 Deep Sea bags for 250 each (how people can do that is mind boggling since Deep Sea Satin is so hard to farm, and expensive to buy).

The best advice I can add to your list is for players to watch their auction house and figure out what: A.) sells well B.) is easy to obtain c.) requires the lest house cut (cost to sell).

I admire you for trying to put in the time to get the mount though. I just don’t have it to spare. (My forum posting is in between doing stuff I’m actually supposed to be doing. I can’t play the game that way.)

Someone told me to sell pots, but I’ve been trying to do that for a while now. Even when I undercut, they don’t sell.

It looks very much like I’m not getting a brutosaur mount unless the Prize Patrol shows up or Blizzard changes their minds (or at least puts a replacement non-AH version on the vendors). Which do you suppose is more likely to happen?

I just want to post these pics from wowhead of other models they could put on the vendor:

Here are unused versions of the might caravan brutosaur:

Any or all of the above could be used to replace the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur. They could be multi-passenger mounts or single-passenger. They could have repair and/or transmog vendors or no vendors at all. As long as they don’t have an AH vendor, none of them would go against Blizzard’s stated reason for removing the MCB.

This is great, thanks for sharing!

One last question - what’s your daily investment in time played to pull this off?

Sorry Kaivax i know you are just the messenger but this was a huge bait and switch for us. We feel blinded and like Blizzard no longer cares for its players (More so the actions of the last couple months by blizzard)

This message should have been sent out the DAY THE MOUNT WAS LAUNCHED… It looks really scummy of Acivisiontrash/Blizzard to do this, I know you are a greedy company but this is some of the worst customer experience i have ever seen in my 15 years of playing this game. Just scummy and trashy like aciti/blizz have become.

2 hours on weekdays (to get a least 1 alt through 4 runs of HFC) and 5-6 hours on weekend days…not counting the time during the day at work when I’m logged into the app doing mission tables. Any weekday that I don’t have enough time to do the raid runs - that time gets added to the weekend.

I’m rooting for you, Mathaylla!

I really cannot put in the time to earn this mount before it’s removed from the vendors. I had a plan that I worked out at the start of BfA that would have earned me the gold by the end of the next expansion. This seemed very reasonable to me given the cost of the mount and the fact that they’ve never before removed a gold sink mount from a vendor.

I’ve been trying to speed up my gold acquisition, but there really isn’t a lot I can do that wouldn’t require me to give up something more important than playing a video game. (I’m self-employed, so every minute I’m doing something other than my job is money out of my pocket.)

Still, I’m delighted for all the folks that are putting in the time to get this mount before it essentially vanishes. Here’s hoping everyone who can manages to get in under the wire. :+1:

I feel for you fellow Hunter Brahmina…its not right of Blizzard to do this to the whole player base…not everyone can spend every waking moment making gold in game… :frowning: or spend $100’s of real money dollars buying tokens to sell on the AH…

Seeing the influx of gold makers now (Thanks for nothing Blizz) and people like Hikons with their laptop even cancel scanning at friggin work. It’s been NOT fun ttrying to make Gold this expansion.

That is cause the gold just isn’t there …no high end gold missions…means player base spends less and less …many rare battle pets are just not selling on my realm for much…some realms maybe but most not.

I don’t and I still make a ton of gold hand over fist on a day to day. Once you actually find a market that isn’t being abused by everybody making gold is easy unless you play on a deadbeat server.

On an RP realm you can run every TBC dungeon a couple of times (easy) and you’ll undoubtedly find some transmog that sells. I found a robe in a random clear I sold for 40k.

At that point it’s just a matter of reposting it and it will eventually sell. Or you can move into alchemy, buy a bunch of herbs and make a ton of gold that way. Or get good at PvE and find a team on Gallywix Community then boost m+ for bads for a lot of gold. +15 carries are going to sell like hotcakes now that they drop mythic quality loot next week.

Umm I agree but I’m one that really put in some time in crafting, farming etc… it’s just a huge influx of people wanting to make gold, so it’s really server dependent. Battle pets have ‘‘usually’’ always been slow sellers. A part from the 8.2 launch that had the key important ones selling like 5000% it’s usual price lol.

It’s just getting a lot more to a point that you either set yourself up nicely in a do-able market on your server, or need to diversify with a lot of cancel scans in between for a lot of the current market items… which isn’t fun FOR ME. I hate babysitting auctions.

If ya’ll want to make some easy gold, at this point in time, the mecha-mogul mk2 mount seems to be around 150k average across US servers right now. The cost of material to craft 1 is about 35k and 30 minutes to an hour of farming mats. how?

get engineering. rogue works best for this, but any dps with reset or a geared tank should work. Do normal motherlode, run to last boss ignoring everything (need to tank everything or stealth through), kill boss, reset, repeat till you have enough mats. for the 20 expulsom needed, tidespray linen and making bracers is best. 120g/expulsom assuming tidespray linen are 2g each.

Got my brutosaur today, a little under 2 months since hearing the news about it going away.

How exactly? Did they change something since release? Last I checked you had to “mine” materials off of the mechs in the dungeon after killing them in the mythic difficulty.

I saw mention that Blizzard doesn’t want a boat load of people running around with a mobile auction house.

9.0.1 drops - The Brutosaur being sold no longer includes an auction house vendor.

Its. That. Easy.

all the mats are guaranteed drop from the last boss now, on all difficulties, including mythic +

From what I can tell the schematic itself is still Mythic or Mythic+ only.
