Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

Imagine caring about how others are unsubscribing, then tripping over your feet and backtracking on that concern.

Threads like this die down because people see it, respond to it, and then move on thinking that having given their feedback accomplished something. It’s hard to maintain vigilance about a topic that upsets you, even minorly, for very long without it poisoning other aspects of your attitude. And it’s frustrating to repeat youraelf when you feel like you’re screaming into the void or bashing against a brick wall.

And Blizzard knows it. It’s why they firmly corral all tangentially related threads into these mega-threads to contain the outrage. It’s been a thing for years, even before the new forum. But at least with the old one people could point out how many pages had been filled with complaints. Now it’s a single endless thread.

Blizz, please do not remove this mount from the vendor.

I sincerely wish it would work like that. You know, that we only have to say something once and we can be sure Blizz will take note.

While I’d be happiest if they didn’t remove the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur from the vendors, I doubt they’ll change their stance on not wanting lots of AH mounts running around in the “future” (whenever that would be). The simplest solution is to remove the AH from the mount. Whether they replace the AH vendor with something else (a mailbox?) or make the AH spot open to taking a passenger, I feel this would be the most acceptable move to most players. (Sort of like replacing the reforger on the yak.)

The next best solution would be to put other brutosaur mounts that never had an AH on the vendors. There are already several different color skins in the database. Putting new colors on the vendors to replace the MCB would give players who already have the MCB another mount or two to collect. And it would still give those of us who aren’t able to raise the 5 mil in time a chance to buy a brutosaur mount.

Again, I disagree with the decision to remove the MCB from the vendors, but this can be mitigated by offering a non-AH version for direct gold purchase. The MCB can then retire to the Black Market AH and retain it’s prestigious exclusivity.

I disagree.

I believe that threads like this die down rather quickly because these issues aren’t nearly as big as the few who keep pushing the topic want to believe. People get mad and then quickly forget it’s even an issue. It’s a vicious ongoing cycle.

Have we been told the starting bid on this mount once it’s hits the BMAH in Shadow Lands?

You believe whatever you want. I’ve watched it happen over and over. I’ve had to step away myself from topics that I am still unhappy with how Blizz handled something for the sake of my sanity. I have seen others comment the same.

If a change makes someone unhappy enough to voice it, unless that change is reverted/altered/mitigated, they will continue to be unhappy with it even if they are no longer vocal about it.

Nope. Some people are assuming it will be 20k, the same as other mounts on the BMAH. But it’s also possible it will start higher than that.

Wonder how long it will take to go from the starting bid to max?

Another concern about the BMAH is how often will the MCB even show up? I’m guessing it’s going to be extremely elusive.

If Blizz is going to go through with this move, I’d sincerely like them to put a non-AH brutosaur model on the vendors to replace the MCB. If they were being honest about their reason for removing the MCB, there’s truly no reason not to replace it.

This also isnt effectiing only those that want the mount. Its screwing up the markets on every server. All crafters and people farming are seeing their income drop because everyone is saving their gold. This is horrible for so many reasons for the actual game, and not just mount collectors. It’s so obvious the disrespect blizz has for its own game and customers. Blizz really needs a good PR win after the last few months. Shadowlands was ok but this has put a damper on the hype that was stsrting to get behind it. Now more people are dreading the next expansion because they wont have the gold to make the purchase in time. So now they have a large swath of people wishing an expansion wont cone rather than a community thats eager to see it get here. Wtf were they thinking

I don’t agree with this move by blizzard, i’m a blacksmith so i hardly make any gold in my profession even now. i’m lucky to make 500g off stirrup orders. best i’m able to do is mine minerals and open savage gifts during this winter veil season

Not all professions are meant to be money makers, they weren’t ever designed to all be money makers.

They were design to help you grow. Now they don’t do that, and they don’t earn you money

Alright, that’s cool and all but my point still stands. My comment wasn’t in regards to what professions used to do or didn’t do, my comment was in regards to the fact that professions were not all created with making lots of gold in mind.

Thinking a regular working man, in this case an ordinary blacksmith should be able to own one of the most expensive items in the game is stupid.

Unless you find out how to corner the market on your server or become a AH mogul or just really really good at the game and start selling runs… you won’t get a longboi

It’s a luxury item, just like irl exotic cars.

i didn’t ask for the opinions of a pair of spoiled princesses, i planned to only say my piece and be done with it, not be pulled back in by people who think only their opinion matters and us actual hard working folks have no say. so Humanity and Yesuna, find something constructive to do that doesn’t involve talking down us working folk, you both said your piece ages ago on this topic so please for the love of God move on -_-

Or were lucky enough to earn millions playing the garrisons and order halls. Such a massive amount of skill that took.

That wouldn’t be luck, that would be “work” in a video game. Literally nobody got lucky with some random million gold missions, nor did anyone get lucky and end up with 20 max level characters with max level garrisons and enough followers to spam missions plus get lucky and find the resources to keep spamming the missions. They dedicated the time to doing such things.

There was no luck about it.

Skill or no skill they dedicated themselves to something that you didn’t dedicate yourself to and they were rewarded for such things. Dedicate yourself to earning gold and you can have gold to buy stuff too.

Lucky as in they were playing at the time instead of coming in after those gold faucets were turned off.

I’ve said it multiple times already, I have more than enough gold to buy the mount. And I’m pretty sure I’ve told you this directly too.

That’s also not luck, that was a personal decision to play a video game. Were players also lucky to get the cloaks in MoP? Were they lucky to get the challenge mode dungeon rewards in WoD? Were they lucky to get the challenge mode gear in MoP?

That’s not luck, that’s working towards a goal and earning it.
