Well, it is the holidays. I’m hoping we get some more info in January when 8.3 comes out. Like if they have a Q&A, I hope the Brutosaur gets brought up there.

It would be really great to get some kind of official word beyond the two posts in this thread. I’d really like to know if they’ll follow the suggestion to replace the MCB with a plain version, since their stated reason for removing the MCB was the AH and not the brutosaur model itself.

How about they actually communicate with the rest of the community and put up an in-game announcement that they’re removing the MCB first? This way they can be more “honest and transparent” with the players.

I drove myself crazy farming the last mill I needed just to get it. Wasn’t the AH I cared about, it was the fact that I wanted a brutosaur since it was dataminded in Legion.

It’s not going to do anything the numbers are waaaaaaaaaaaaaay still too small on people not liking the change.
Though you may be right about there being no change from Blizzard on this, to me it seems far more people are against the removal than for it.

You are aware that most players have no idea the brutosaur is being removed from the vendors, right? Blizzard themselves say only a very small fraction of the player base ever comes to the forums. Since the only “announcement” about the removal has been here on the forums in this thread, there’s absolutely no way to know what the majority of players think about this.
If I were a conspiracy theorist, I’d say keeping most of the players in the dark so they don’t complain is why Blizzard has made no overt announcements of this change. Since I’m not into conspiracy theories, I’m certain the lack of communication is just Blizz being Blizz. Either way though, it’s not right.
Players should be told directly and immediately that they have only a limited time to earn the gold for this mount. The announcement should be made on the launcher, with flashing neon lights, and it should also be on the mount’s tool tip on the vendor.
Now, if Blizz is holding off on an announcement until they can put in a plain version to replace the MCB (and thus announce a replacement rather than a complete removal) I’m okay with waiting a bit. Just so it’s not longer than 8.3’s launch. That may seem an arbitrary time limit, but players still need to be told sooner rather than later.

The no flying back in WOD was also announced on the forums and that reaction was in the millions.
So more people know about it then you think but it’s quite obviously it’s not as important.
But you keep putting up the good fight.
No…Ion made a polygon interview and then the announcement was clarified further in a forum post. Mainstream media already had announced the decision. I don’t know of any media outlets other than youtube that has talked about this.

I’m doing whatever I can… but in my case it’s not going to be enough.
I do wish they would make another non-AH model available when they remove the MCB. I don’t care if it’s smaller. I don’t care if it still costs the same. I’d just like to continue working toward my goal and eventually have a sauropod mount one day. Since their stated reason for removing the MCB is the AH, I don’t think my request is out of line.

I may be cynical, but I suspect it will be put on the launcher with a big “last chance”…around the same time they announce the concrete release date for Shadowlands.
