Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

Wait.

People are defending this?

Why?

Same reasons they defend anything Blizzard does. They’re either incapable of criticizing Blizzard or they’re doing it to rile up people who care about the game.

If you were to go back to last week and create a thread asking if the Brutosaur mount should be removed, there would barely be any support for it. It’s only now that Blizzard has said something about it that all of these “supporters” have crawled out of the woodwork to defend it.

Because yes

For the record, I’m not defending the decision, I’m just in disagreement with the degree of angry people are taking and their reasonings. However, that has not stopped people from trying to argue against me like I’m attacking them.

latin forums are so boring, so calm and never discussions, this is fun eating popcorn

You’re posting in defense of it often enough by telling us to stop complaining and just let Blizzard do whatever they want.

Actually, it won’t. For one reason. Items on the BMAH are jacked up in price. I’ve seen pets I can get at a vendor for less than 5g (sure, spawn time is bad, but you can get them) starting out on the BMAH at like 1000g. Opening bids on items in the BMAH are extremely exaggerated. Blizzard is the one who sets the opening bid, not the players. Which means they are NOT going to put it up for anything less than what it goes for now. If anything, it will probably start at an opening bid of 8-9 million gold.

Also, they’ve been trying to cut back on the gold flow since Warlords. Both Legion and BfA were extremely chincy with the amount of gold they gave out for anything.

So, you’re trying to cop the attitude of “well, it’ll be cheaper because there will be more gold floating around!” when you have no proof of that. Because sure, there may be more gold, but COSTS of things also typically skyrocket each expansion.

Flying on Azeroth is CHEAP compared to flying on the Broken Isles. Just one example of how costs escalate based on the expansion.

Taking my words out of context. Don’t need to push my displeasure with Blizzard’s actions in every thread. Have not once defended the decision, get off your high horse.

Ouch, so it’s gonna be probably 8-12 mill on the BMAH and its nothing more than a mount? Screw that!

ok fine, you can still earn them from rBGs, thats really aside from the point

the point is why is it such a big deal that something will no longer be obtainable?

I haven’t heard an actual reason, all ive heard is subjective mewling

I think its cool that they (AH mounts) won’t be obtainable anymore, so why should your opinion trump mine?

One example is the Obsidian Hatchling pet. You can buy this in Dalaran for 50 gold, not even limited availability. Or you can buy it from the BMAH (whenever it actually shows up) for 10,000 gold.

Hmm. These two answers seem like they would pretty much cover most of it.

Um…

CoolCoolCool.
So you’d like the Brutosaur to stay and also don’t care for how Blizzard went about disclosing the information that it was being retired?

The third possibility.

Then you didn’t read, because I answered this.

And if you want to be snarky about it…

Why is it such a big deal to remove things? All I’ve heard is subjective mewling.

You keep telling us to shut up about it, that’s as close to defending it as to make no difference.

I have already made over that this expansion , on one toon , and not trying to make gold . the answer to your question is quite easy

They’re going to do whatever they want whether or not the forum is outraged and there isn’t a lot anyone can do about it.

Many of us stand behind their decision.

Do I want it to stay? Of course.

Do I think the timing for the amount being removed from the vendor is in bad taste? Absolutely.

Do I think I have a right to the mount and that justifies keeping it on the vendor? No.

That’s bad customer service. If you have to give the bad news, calm the customer down by giving them some kind of reason. Even if it was a reason that is false and was baked up by the higher ups, some reason is better than no reasons.

That’s how you placate the masses. I worked in customer service for years, I know a lot about how things work. It’s not all pretty.

Oh really? Then why aren’t you posting with you real name? Oh wait, we got that changed. What about no flying in current content ever again? We got that (mostly) changed. They do listen to feedback on occasion. But it doesn’t help when we have people from the peanut gallery causing trouble.

Flying fiasco says otherwise.

If by “us” you mean the minority then yeah.
