Looks Like the Mighty Caravan Brutosaur might Be Unobtainable In 9.0.1 (Part 1)

Never once told someone to shutup about it. Now you’re putting words in my mouth.

I’m allowed to disagree with someones personal opinions on a subject while still supporting the same objective.

Please do not make this unobtainable from the vendor. I have been working so hard to save up for this mount since day one and this is extremely unnecessary. It feels like all that time I’ve wasted reposting all my auctions every day has all been for nothing. I’m no master goblin, but I have spent a TON of time just posting auctions to make the gold for this and doing everything I can in my limited playtime to earn this the hard way. This is a really shady and thoughtless thing to do.

Fair call. :slightly_smiling_face:

Do you think others have a right to voice their disdain towards Blizzard’s decision? Even if you personally wouldn’t do so?

nobody gave an answer that wasn’t subjective, its all been “because its fun”, or “because they should have told us”, or some other opinion with go logical basis

and I don’t think its a big deal to remove things, I honestly don’t care either way … leave it in, take it out, it doesnt matter to me, I think its cool that they are taking it out, but if they leave it in im not going to cry about it on the forums, because I know its just my opinion and I have no legitimate reason that it should or shouldn’t be that way

all im saying is justify your opinion with something other than subjectivity … and if you can’t, admit its subjective and your are just wanting to get your way because its your way

I’ve never said anyone can’t voice their opinions against blizzard. I did it just yesterday in the MvP version of this same thread. Anyone who thinks I’m a blizzard shill just hasn’t seen me do it.

As I’ve said, profit is fine. Companies DO have to make money after all. It costs money to make the games, pay salaries and all that. Profit is 100% fine.

But, as I’ve said on this topic many a time, there is a line between Healthy Profit and Unhealthy Greed.

Decisions like this, out of the blue, which is obviously just an attempt to drive Token Sales, has crossed the line into Unhealthy Greed.

You mean saying something like this?

Despite all other dinosaur mounts being untouched?

Wrong.

I said it’s removing the ability for people to run this as a side goal. It’s removing content from the game.

Removing side projects for people to do during lulls in expansions is NOT a good thing for the game.

More things to work toward in game = more players finding things to do in game that interest in them = players stay subbed = more sub money = more profits for Blizzard (before they layoff a bunch of people again).

There’s your objectivity.

Maybe not but having exclusive and prestigious items is good for the game.

ok sorry, you said removing the item is bad because its removing the item …

thats a good argument you got there

All good dude, I’m new to the thread and am largely unaware of what came before I stuck my head in. I was definitely not casting aspersions or assuming anything, hence the questions. :slightly_smiling_face:

Seems your opinion is pretty much in line with a majority of players; It was/is a sketchy move on Blizzard’s part.

Right?

Or more. Why do you think so many countries are looking at the health impact of microtransactions? Because there are people who are spending an unhealthy amount of money on what boils down to virtual gambling.

No content should be removed. Focusing on the latest content has always hurt this game in the long run.

We already have those. Challenge mode PvE and Elite PvP.

We don’t need more things being removed from this game.

How many more times in how many threads do you want to be proven wrong again?

Move along, please. I’m finished with you.

This. ^

Exactly. My argument was against reasonings people were using for blizzard to not remove the mount, while also providing work arounds to said reasons. There’s reason I agree with for why it shouldn’t be removed, and reasons I don’t.

But like most things in these forums, it ended in a agree to disagree stance.

limiting obtainability = less players have the item = the item is more prestigious = more prestigious items in game = more players trying to earn prestigious items = players stay subbed = more sub money = more profits for blizzard

Oops, yea, still subjective

You’re welcome to your own opinion, many of us are relieved in the decision that was made. More exclusive items will give players something to strive for and to work harder on. Part of me wants to go ahead and buy the mount now and part of me wants to wait to see what they come out with in Shadowlands, the next one might be bigger, better, and more expensive.

I mean objectively you sound like a defeatest I’d hardly call that an attack. As for crack whre I’m refering to the act of someone doing what someone else wants when the later is clearly underhandedly manipulating the former. Not necessarily trying to call you a crack whre to insult you…I just think it paints a pretty accurate picture of what Blizzard’s psychological tactics amount to.

A game shouldn’t be designed around FOMO. They should instead be focused on making a fun and enjoyable game that will draw more people to it. But I guess some people are just fine with money grubbing tactics.
