Little of column A, little of column B. I know I’m kicking myself in the butt for all the time I could of been gathering and selling herbs.
If I had put the time in that I totally have available, I’d probably be close to or have the mount already. Instead, I’m sitting at 312k, and I just spent over 100k on the yak 2 weeks prior.
Worst of all, I don’t even have a sky golem to do my farming with.
I mean, I’m not. But I don’t constantly complain about it. I will when it’s brought up. Unobtainable exclusivity is one of my least favourite concepts for virtual worlds. I tolerated limited time items that all you had to do is log in more then those that were incredibly difficult to obtain and time locked. But either way I don’t care for it. I would consider myself fairly reasonable. I don’t find it unreasonable to want time exclusive content to not be a thing. I wouldn’t mind some of them coming back in a limited fashion. Like a new “Challenge week” that allows you another try at MoP/WoD CMs and Legion mage tower appearances. But as long as it’s still obtainable. I also believe every new year of anniversary that should allow you to pick up one old reward along with whatever new reward.
I don’t WANT it taken out of the game … I honestly don’t care
im not gonna buy one, im not gonna work towards one, it makes no difference to me
A) who says there is no reason?
B) why not? what reason is there to be so adamantly opposed to them limiting an item? the only reasons ive heard so far are “they didn’t tell us about it” and “they never have before” both of which are pretty pathetic reasons
nope, pretty sure you need the feat of strength to xmog this stuff, which you can’t get anymore
The rest of the quote is irrelevant. He said an employee needs to be removed from their position and the blue response was saying exactly that is against the rules. Why would you need more then the part that the blue said was violating the rules? Also it doesn’t mater what the rest of the post was about, because that was the part that violated the rules.
fun vs unfun is a bad argument because its subjective
what you find fun someone else may find unfun
for example, if I know something has a limited window in which I can unlock it and use it, I will be more likely to do so, because I think the limitedness of the challenge makes it more fun
if I know I can work towards it slowly over the next 3 years, I won’t do it because I don’t think its fun
and before anyone assumes that I have the mount and just want to be part of the cool kids club … I don’t have the mount, I can’t even afford a token, much less a 5m mount, but I still don’t care that it will be unobtainable, in the future, when I see one, ill think, “hey cool, that person has the AH mount, good for them”
which is more fun imo than every tom dick and harry running around with the mount, thats when it becomes boring, mundane
If someone’s fun involves taking away someone elses fun it is not valid form of fun. If someone finds exclusivity “fun” It’s because they benefit from it at someone elses expensive. I do not consider that remotely valid form of fun. Same with PvP camping.
Naw i’m chill with that. I enjoy things for their own worth. Not because I have it and no one else does. If I have something and it’s rare, or common it won’t effect how much I like it. My favourite mount is Big Love Rocket. Would STILL be my fav mount if everyone rode it.
Exclusivity is not something I enjoy even when I have it.
It adds nothing positive to the game. It takes away side projects and fun.
Wrong. Hit the correct rank right now and you can mog it. That was changed in 5.2:
Characters that have attained requisite title levels (Centurion, Knight-Champion, Grand Marshal, High Warlord, etc.) through the Rated Battleground system will be able to purchase old PVP items requiring those titles.
