Well it’s existence does effect the AH which in turn effects us all, the same goes for it’s removal
Personally when I saw the mount I said, that’s a nice mount, but I don’t need a mobile AH, when I saw the price I thought, Blizzard should wear a mask when they rob people! this is pure greed on their part and they did it to boost token sales with a gold sink excuse
I’m not giving away my trade secrets but i did mention key phrases earlier in to set you on the same path as me. Theres many ways to go about playing the ah, you just need to find what works for you.
Good advice but I’ve always found it strange that the reward for people who’ve made tons of gold in WoW is a mount… that helps you make even more tons of gold!!
Like, who thought that was a good idea? A mount with the AH on it should be in the hundreds of thousands, not millions. Make a huge dinosaur mount for 5 million that does NOT have an auction house on it.
I only started WoW in May. I occasionally use the AH to sell enchants and bags. I only have 400k. I sort of fantasized one day about having enough gold to buy that mount but now I may as well kiss that dream goodbye.
Since making 4.6 million gold in about 12 months is now a totally unobtainable goal, I have zero motivation to earn gold beyond basic maintenance and funding alts. It really sucks. Poor decision imo
What trade secrets… I wouldn’t call BS a trade secret. 200k for 5-10 min of your time at AH, means you have a lot of liquid, a set list to search for boes, mats and other stuff, and look for potential flips with risk involved.
Not to mention the time investment, depending on server, having BFA flooded with pseudo goblins and others that crash markets. Makes for a very uninteresting time compared to even Legion where making Million + wasn’t that hard.
Good thing I didn’t say that then! I’m not going to teach everyone here how to muscle me out of my profits so don’t believe me and “win” this argument if you must. I’ll be over here flexing on my soon to be even harder to obtain mount.
I actually hope it DOES cause a mass rush to sell tokens as that will make them worth less and less (and make people buy even more) so that they’ll be hella cheap and I can max them out again with gold to buy Diablo 4 because that’s looking awesome.
Before this Xpac I have never played the AH to make money but this mount is the sole reason i started doing it. While im not a mega pro or even overly dedicated goblin to making money I went from 100k to 4.7m gold in 8 months.
But really, it’s not a necessary mount. Access to the AH is cool and all, but its not that needed… The yak is still fine, I just wish they’d update it with newer foods/materials
Yep. This is the kind of player that blizzard is punishing. Aka 99% of the playerbase. Having a goal to push you even if you might not realistically obtain it is important. Just because of the very fact you COULD and MIGHT get it some day if enough work is put in. Remove that goal and you sorta remove the urge to continue. It’s a dumb move that will help them only in the shorterm but ruin them in the longterm if they keep doing this kind of crap repeatedly.
Like I still don’t have the Invincible mount yet. But knowing that I could get it someday is what stops me from deleting my army of alts that can potentially run it every week. I’m not in a rush to be the dog that finally catches up to the car so it’s nice having stuff that isn’t on an arbitrary FoS timer.
They literally said its going into the BMAH… You CAN get it still, just not as easily as now which is more than can be said for mage tower transmog or mounts like the SoO wolf, HFC moose or Antorus arcane bird.
