Less people playing 2s has more to do with 2s being terrible in cata and 3s being a lot more balanced and enjoyable

Cata PVP was the first major drop off âback in the dayâ, its not a shocker that it drops into the toilet yet again.
Reasons why:
- PVE gear is too strong already in Wrath, but Cata PVE gear is just flat better than PVP gear for PVP use; this really harms Arena.
- Cata meta is not as good as people remembered it; I tried to explain this a year before Cata classic that its just not better than Wrath, or TBC, its just different.
- CATA Arena is not âbalancedâ its just as META as near every other version of wow; the bulk of the people repeating âCATA META IS BISâ are mostly those that benefited from it.
- Mortal Strike effects nerfed so now we have battle fatigue /PUKE.
- Feral druid meta /double puke.
TL;DR Cata PVP is kinda trash, no one wants to play it in S1 because its not really better than Wrathâs already kinda bad Arena meta, and worse everyone knows that by Season 2 youâre gonna need raid gear to Arena otherwise youâre so far behind you can never have a chance.
In before âGear does not matterâ, sorry buddy youâre wrong the PVE gear is like 20 to 30% more damage, its insane.

Youâre wrong about the first season the majority of people agree itâs the best season of cata and the 3s meta is far better than wrath by a long shot.
Also the âcata dropoffâ happened in PvE because of raiding being so difficult. PvP continued to climb up until MoP as Justintv/twitch started becoming really popular with Reckful and others.
I do agree the PvE items being so strong in s10/s11 sucks and as someone who could get the legendary daggers and be insanely OP Iâd prefer they removed the op items from rated PvP
The results are in and numbers are clear, removing 2s has proven to be a disaster to the participation in the game. The game is on life support and if immediates change doesnât go right now the game will be completely dead.
Trying to strong arm people into playing 3s has proven to a disaster, this game was never made to be a pvp/arena game and the delusion that 3s is better than 2s is completely false. The myth is propaged by few people who have access to decents healers to play game and take advantage of those who do not. The reason are done for the boosters and people who violate the rules by selling boost for real money.
This is all about putting real money into people pockets and nothing to do with the health of the game.
as people already said before, the only people that removing 2âs titles affects are people glad or higher. this does not effect u this does not effect me. your playing sod (yikes). and cata 2v2 is awful its actually miserable to q 2âs its so much more unbalanced than wrath ur just a silly little goose

And those people have already been debunked by the numbers. What has been proven is the only thing removing titles from 2s affects in the health of the game.
The same people who get glad in 3s will be almost exactly the same people who get glad in 2s, removing title changings nothing on who gets glad.
However, players MUST have dream/delusion of getting glad in 2s to play the game even though they never will.

3s is better. Find people you vibe with around your skill level and q up. Everyone has had to/currently struggles to find partners.

What numbers are you talking about here specifically, the deflation? 2s would still be super deflated even with glad and rank1 titles because cata 2s just sucks. Itâs super unbalanced and a slogfest if youâre not one of very few comps. There is a reason glad was removed from 2s even before cata originally. Play 3s

There is not a single glad in 3s right now who could not get easily get glad in 2s. Find one single player who is in gladiator range right now, to post saying they couldnât get glad in 2s, you will not find a single one.

Pretty clear you are a wannabe player and your whole stick is pandering on the forums trying to look you are player sucking up try act like your some mgl 3s players, but in the end you will never be accepted by them and you just like sad and pathetic trying to fit in to everyone who sees through your act.
I am just some casual dude who faces the reality of how removing 2s has destoried the game, this has been shown factually by the number and anedotely in my experience.
My long time arena partner will barely log on and play because he says 2s doesnât matter cause he canât get glad, will the reality was he would be hard pressed to get rival, but simple will not play without having the delusion of a glad title possible which in reality isnât.
The game is dying and needs life put back into it for people to play.

Adding glad back to twos is not what will do that. MMR Inflation would probably be a better solution imo. Iâm also not against rewarding elite set pieces for various ratings instead of the entire thing for 2200. Start at 1600 and give a new piece every 100 rating or something. That would be a strong carrot.
I also donât understand why we donât have the retail lfg system and we have to use this crap custom section that you have to sort through. A better way to find players would help a lot.
Out of curiousity why especially in Cata?
I could be wrong, but it feels like there are far more viable twos comps to play than there were in Wrath, like feral/mm, sub/mm, feral/arms, though maybe Iâll have a better picture after a couple hundred hours more playtime.
The delusion of finding 3s ended after weeks of looking for a healer. Seeing multi-glads and Ranks sitting in looking for a healer and not getting one either is reality.
There is place to play 3s, 2s must to opened up again.

To be fair at the rating youâre at pretty much anything is viable, people are far from playing their comps optimally. (Sincerely no flame)
This season is probably the most balanced it will be I think but there are just a few comps that far outshine everything else and healer/DPS matches into each other are an absolute slogfest.
Donât get caught up on the multiglad thing. The retail ones are usually pretty terrible in my experience. You also donât need a healer depending on what class you play, there are several viable triple DPS comps. I do feel you though, the healer is tough to find. Thatâs why itâs important to find one you can vibe with and treat them well so they want to queue with you again.
Hello? The player pool doesnât support 3s. There are no healers, game is slanted.
At the end of the day, the numbers donât lie the game is dying because of these changes.

I canât even achieve entering the arena (3s), with how dead this game is. Just let me play 2s and go away.
We donât even know what the actual participation numbers even are yet until they release cutoffs. Youâre assuming if there is a drop off that the title change is causal but Iâm just not seeing how a title that only 200 people will get is what âkilledâ the bracket entirely for everyone.
