people change the meaning of words all the time now get used to it
It’s unorganized chaos. It truly is harder than normal. Everyone is on their own and no one communicates.
It’s the “here hold my beer” of raiding.
I never understood the hate for LFR. I’m not a raider (I prefer Mythic+) but I never got why people rag on LFR. What does it take away from “real raiders” for it to exist? They don’t even really have to devote resources to it since they built the raid they can just tune the numbers down. Why do people want it removed? What do others gain by having this go?
Indeed, it really isn’t raiding. You can stand in every mechanic in LFR and not die, its sad. LFR-only people are not raiders. They would rage quit the moment they died in normal+ due to not wanting to understand what to do.
If you noticed the posts in here, there aren’t really any really good mythic players as they don’t care if LFR players get gear or rewards they are too busy with their mythic stuff. It is mostly the elitist normal-heroic players that want LFR removed, or players not get anything.
I’m all for casuals getting rewards. I don’t mind more people having more access to cosmetics, mounts and gears without raiding. Its better when good stuff is shared, for everyone.
Often it’s tougher than higher level Raiding.
LFR gives people with multiple barriers the ability to Raid, which is so wonderful. People with massive time limitations, people who cannot join Guilds for various reasons, people who have disabilities, are older, have vision issues, or are physically unable to react quickly enough to Raid at a higher level.
People who are neurodivergent and might not be confident enough, or able to raid at a higher level.
People who have had trauma, or who are asocial, or shy.
Or for whatever reason a person does not Raid higher than LFR.
And all these people deserve to experience ALL that WoW offers, and that they pay for. If Blizz loses it’s casual player-base, there won’t be much left to carry this game into the future.
Look after the core of casuals who have always been here, recognise how valuable they are.
True MVP post.
Sadly, most people don’t see it that way. For the average player / person its all about me. It also doesn’t help that Bliz has nurtured a community like this. lol
When I was a kid I had a friend that wasn’t really that smart but we got along great regardless. I remember him talking about this flying combat video game all the time at school, he couldn’t get enough of it. He told me it wasn’t Nintendo or Sega so I was really interested in what it could be.
Well, I got to his house and he ran into the living room turned on the tv, grabbed a “controller” with no wire, and put the video cassette into the VCR.
Yes, it was a video recording of a playthrough of a game. The same thing every time. He thought he was controlling the entire experience with his controller.
This is what LFR and questing feel like these days
Yet it is still the same bosses that the other raids have
It’s not really far off normal, is it?
LfR is not the afk fest people make it out to be . People actually communicate and try to help the team .
The only people that say stuff about LfR being bad are people that are mad that others get to see content that only they should get to see.
And this is from a person that has done Normal and Heroic this expansion
https://worldofwarcraft.com/en-us/character/us/stormreaver/ronalio/pve/raids
people afk and the boss still dies.
its tourist mode now.
used to be respectable.
back in mop, there was actual challenge. actual requirements.
I think it’s because “raiding” has become it’s own adjective. So you can technically do a raid, whilst not actually “raiding”.
What people consider raiding involves the communication and preparation, and progressing of a raid instance.
LFR isn’t considered by many to be “raiding” in a similar way that purchasing a boost through heroic or mythic isn’t considered “raiding” by many.
Oh yeah LfR N’zoth was definitely tourist mode
Except those that have bought their boost would consider being carried as raiding before LfR is .
Haha true, although those people also feel accomplished for buying an achievement so I wouldn’t pay too much heed to their opinions.
No difference than Normal raiders. LFR raiders probably wipe even more than normal raiders.
The meme that LFR is harder than Normal got created for a reason.
Player vs Environment vs party members.
The true PvEvP
Not wrong with that assessment
