Come on now, Blizzard. How many years have you all been doing this? Itâs a PRE PATCH, for Christâs sake. Canât wait for the terrible launch, as always.
now my characters only show up if I select the realm and go there but not on the main realm selection screen no characters show. On top of that, it states I cannot make any of the allied races even though I have all the achievementsâŚ
Was able to play earlier, added a pet to my collection and my game completely bugged, DCâd now i canât log in to my guy keep getting âcharacter not foundâ i have a second account that logs in just fineâŚ
yeah, Iâm on discord with some of my guildies who are in game with no issues. Wonât even go into my bnet friends list with people on other servers including my horde toon server of zulâjin
I had no problem logging in. Then, after doing a dungeon, I tried logging off to switch character and it looked like I disconnected. As in, instead of logging out, I just stood there and all the other characters around me were running in place. Weirdly, I could still use guild chat. Used alt-F4 to exit the game and when I tried logging back on it wouldnât load my characters. The issue (specifically, missing characters) resolved itself after about 3-4 minutes but then when I tried to log in it would stay stuck on the loading screen and wouldnât let me in. It just crashes me back to the character selection screen and says âCharacter not found.â
EDIT: Okay, so if I exit the game and log back in, it lists the realms without the characters. If I manually select a realm, at first the screen is black but after a while the characters appear. But if I try to log in, it stays stuck at the loading screen then crashes me back to the character list and says âCharacter not found.â
EDIT 2: After about half an hour, the problem resolved itself completely.

This seems to be an account based issue. My wifeâs account on my setup has all the issues listed by everyone else here. My personal account loads just fine and I have no problems getting in. Definitely tied to something with specific accounts
EDIT: I forgot to mention we are both on Magtheridon, and when I log in with her info it is showing that she has no characters while I am showing everything just fine on my account.
I am in a similar situation logged in earlier but then had to log out. Now second reload and on all my characters itâs saying âCharacter Not Foundâ I think they had trouble copy characters over because if you see in the comments itâs still showing a lot of people at level 120 & others at level 50. I am curious to know whatâs causing the issue this time⌠it seems to be a new issue compared to previous years. To everyone who took a day off work for this⌠now you know for next time. I purposely scheduled more work since there is always some type of issue on patch or release day.

Iâm also having the issue of finally getting the realm list but all my characters are gone. If I click into a server the screen is just black. Anyone else having this issue?

Gotta love blizz keeping with tradition of bucking everything up every single time, realy gotta commend them for keeping traditions alive. Would love to be able to player my characters, but no characters found even though clearly can see them. beyond frustration.

It will hang at the black screen for several minutes. Once you get past that, your characters should show⌠however, when you try to log in, you may end up with the âcharacter not found errorâ.
Thatâs where Iâm at.

Hey man chill, Blizzard is a small indie company. They donât have the money or resources to deal with this kind of stuff. Oh waitâŚ

pre patch should have been pre patched that is thatâs that itâs called right? i canât even get into my guyâs anymore? i was able too but not now i have kids and i have a time too play.

yeah, thatâs happening to me. I was already logged in, but I got DCed, and now I am having the issue you describe.

I would much rather be dealing with corruption and broken classes than dealing with an entire game being broke. Do the devs not understand that something that is not ready to be released is better to wait than push it to the public and make us suffer for a game we pay for yet cannot play? Are we being reimbursed for gametime?
