Locking stable flying but not skyriding to pathfinder is stupid

There was a TWW beta thread on this topic, it was ignored.

OK, 1st, there is a quest where you go in a portal to the top of a tower to fly to the 1st delve. There is no or was no slow mount to go where you need to, nor was there a way down from the tower.

2ndly, the quest to go down the coreway, you cannot do it on a ground mount. You can get down there, but you are going to need toys, or feather fall, etc. There is no way up unless you use a taxi service.

Those are 2 I remember offhand.

I see some still have not caught on, yes feed back is important, but what do you thinks will create bad feelings, a lack of WANTING to communicate with players and create feelings that spite is justified?

“We understand where you are coming from Blizzard, but here are issues some still have…”

Or

“Blizzard you SUCK, do things our way cause you vision sucks”
Blizzard: “but some like it this way”
“they don’t matter, only me and the ones that feel like me matter”

Not all of the Anti side is like the latter, but too many seem to be to the point where, if Blizzard caves to them, they are REWARDING rude, entitled donkeys that would be better off being let go.

Note, I am not saying that the latter can’t be included in feedback, but it might be better if it was the lesser kind provided so that the feedback at least shows token respect to Blizzard and others, if they don’t return that, it is on them, and as long as plyer can take the “high road”, Blizzard looks worse and worse.

See feed back is that you point out something that you like or dis like, you state what it is, and clearly and nicely say how it might be improved and even put thoughts on ideas on how to do that. Then you sit down and behave, not make 20 more topics or try to make threats or call names of Devs or ask of their firing because you don’t get your way.

In general having a total melt down and tossing a tantrum never is a good way of getting ones point across about something.

Nor attack other PLAYERS who are also providing their feedback/pointing things out, because it is not what you want to hear.

Don’t forget to those who love being hypocrites.

Some have forgotten that games are supposed to be fun and enjoyable, not a constant challenge.

In this case that could be almost any of the anti side that are demanding respect/complaining about a lack of respect, from either other players or Blizzard, but are not showing respect to the ones they are not getting it from themselves.

But this is the things the game is not designed and never has been that everyone finishes every thing at the same time. That is taken into consideration with the design of WoW. If you level a toon up in 8 hours of game play time or a week and still have more than enough time to do what ever you need to do before season one if that even important to you, then why does it matter how much time you took compared to someone who did it much faster than you.

My opinion it had to do more with being able to take to the skies right off the bat, even though it wasn’t that great until you got all the glyphs and tree unlocked. Being able to fly from the get-go, something the players haven’t been able to do since Cataclysm. You are correct about the story. It’s been a cluster f since wolk imo. I’m actually surprised that they aren’t making everyone find new glyphs next expansion tbh lol. New zones you gotta find them new glyphs lol. Don’t know if they will somehow pull a Suramar, and find a way to gate lore cheevos to try and delay regular flying, wouldn’t surprise me

Given my normal rate, and the fact I have early access…I expect to have pathfinder/steady flight no more then 1-2 days after worldwide release. I tend to bee max level 2-3 days after I can access content, and tend to finish content 4-5 days (1 zone/day) after I first access it.

I totally agree, for most people it wont take long to score completion on their 1st toon.

As a druid I am failing to see the issue…

It also helps if people set smaller goals, like say x # of story lines to 1 full zone a day, instead of trying to do it all at once. Do things one step at a time, if you can get more done because you feel up to it, all the better, if you don’t meet the goals due to issues, feel free to make a larger one to make up for it later or cut back a bit.

Oh no! Just reading “Suramar” makes me cringe, that was horrible back in the day. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Yes I feel some set themselves up to feeling overwhelmed then discouraged.

If it was not for the fact I want to do the content at my pace, I’d seriously recommend Blizzard gates leveling content because of those that can’t control themselves/have to get things done ASAP.

As it is, I’d rather just tell them that if they can’t control themselves, that is on them and they should not blame Blizzard or other players for their issues.

Then it won’t be a big change to just open it from the start.

I feel like people arguing against it are arguing against themselves.

Old style flying is a huge advantage over new style…but both allow you to cheese everything and it was better before them.
It’s a huge advantage to fly right out of the gate, but it’s no big deal for others to not have flying because everything is doable from the ground.
It would ruin the game if it was included from the start, but you will get it in a day anyway so it’s no big deal.

It’s pretty silly at this point.

The truth is we are going to get flying relatively fast, it is a large but fairly short advantage for people who can use skyriding to get it from the start, and that having both would break nothing.

People saying flying ruins everything are being crazy hyperbolic.
People saying not getting it from the start makes Blizzard evil are being crazy hyperbolic.

It’s just a bit of bad design for no purpose at this point and it happens to only hurt a specific group. Generally nowadays that is an easy win to just fix it.

Its due to sour grapes on the part of one single Blizz employee.

Maybe. I honestly think it is about iteration, and by the next expansion it will be gone. More and more Blizzard seems to move even slower than they used to unless it is a way to implement more FOMO and micro transactions into the game.
