This line is a prime example of the attitude shown by
Some of us are willing to suggest things and Blizzard has taken feedback into account.
All complaints of things like this reek of "me me me, my my my, etc attitudes. Keep in mind, some players want max ilvl gear for world content, and some might rather it just appear in their mailboxes for just logging in, should they get such?
Some player suggestions are good for the game, some are not, But to do something just because “players want it” could wind up being bad for the game. Those issues that were never resolved in SL? maybe players saw them as issues but Blizzard did not.
The Maw at the start of the shadowlands? how easy is it to be stealthy on a mount? and it was made out to be any thing we were meant to do in the maw was get in, get what we need and get out. Once the attack of the covenants on the maw started, it can be argued that we would need to ride between the lines or to aid our allies.
But the attitude posed by the line I first quoted just proves that ANY player hammering Blizzard for being spitfeul, selfish, etc. is being the same to Blizzard.
Oh, and as far as the “immersive” argument, even Blizzard does not use that one now, their current argument is they don’t want people to hover and plop on top of mobs the first time through the game. The don’t care if you dive in on the target, which before pre-patch activated Dragonriders initiative (shockwave that damaged and disoriented mobs if you “crashed” into the ground at medium to high speed close to them) or stay iin the air on a skyriding mount, which before pre-patch could provide skyrider’s compassion, a shield based on stacks built while on skyriding mounts that applied once you landed.
Hmm, maybe Blizzard removed too many skyriding talents that could lead to tactics only achievable with skyriding.
