Locking stable flying but not skyriding to pathfinder is stupid

And sour grapes from players who can’t let the past STAY IN THE PAST create topics like this.

It could very well make little difference to unlock both flight modes out the gate, but at the same time is there any real need to do so except to quiet players vitriol towards the devs and other players?

Wouldnt that be enough?

Next up, WOW the mobile game, and WOW PC is shut down.

Could it not happen without or is the only way to do such to cave in?

man if you or I had those answers, we’d be rich.

I know, my point was “why do it if the only reason to do so could take care of itself by people realizing that yelling at others is getting no where” not to mention, the vitriol would likely not stop, but just change targets, likely targeting the ones the change was made to accommodate. So it is one of those if we want it to stop, we all have to accept what currently is and just deal with it, maybe asking for tools to better do such but still deal.

Oh cos human nature on the whole will always prevent people from realizing that. Or else Wars would stop existing.

Which is why I feel it is best not to do it, and let the side that is treating the other as trash keep expensing themselves.

Yeah, don’t miss withered army training haha. And constantly gathering ancient mana in that zone wasn’t the best of times. Was fun though if you managed to get a decent group together, and knock out the dailies, and what not pretty quick. Did that for the crud you had to do inside the city. Wish I had discovered that little pathway into the city near the little vykrul camp near the city sooner. Made things a lot easier to avoid the what are you hiding stealth detector npc’s. Not sure if it was an exploit or not looking back. They never fixed it so guess it ended not being one idk.

Bingo give the player a cigar…that how all this damn Pathfinder started out with now but cause they wanted to introduce and make players use this new zoom zoom flying they had to drop that stance…zoom zoom flying makes you not see any of the work on ground hardly…were as Putt putt flying does…so again again to the white knights how is less immersed now.

Funny how when it’s something they didn’t create it’s bad for the game, now they create their own version of flying which does exactly what they said TBC flying did but it’s ok because we created it

The best single-sentence summary of the team in its current state that I’ve ever seen.

The amount of festering garbage we’ve seen defended by the managers despite loud and usually universal criticism from the playerbase really is crazy. Likewise, the lackadaisical responses that sometimes take entire patch cycles to deliver, also crazy.

Just a basic one: all the issues with Shadowlands, many of which were never resolved, some of which took 1 or 2 patches to resolve.

Why couldn’t we mount in the Maw? Whose dumb idea was that? Regardless of your “design philosophy” people wanted to mount there. Instead of just hotfixing it in, they withheld it for a later patch, then tied it to a questline.

Similar attitude is being applied to old vs new flying. It’s kinda hard to claim world immersion as justification for pathfinder while simultaneously having dragonriding in the game.

Now, tbf, I don’t think “immersion” ever mattered. Pathfinder was originally added to slow people down and collectively waste time. Time is literally money on here.

The biggest point against their original claim: they gave everyone a boost when purchasing WoD. New players who came in and bought WoD were instantly skipped to max level, bypassing the whole game preceding it. How is that immersive at all?

This line is a prime example of the attitude shown by

Some of us are willing to suggest things and Blizzard has taken feedback into account.

All complaints of things like this reek of "me me me, my my my, etc attitudes. Keep in mind, some players want max ilvl gear for world content, and some might rather it just appear in their mailboxes for just logging in, should they get such?

Some player suggestions are good for the game, some are not, But to do something just because “players want it” could wind up being bad for the game. Those issues that were never resolved in SL? maybe players saw them as issues but Blizzard did not.

The Maw at the start of the shadowlands? how easy is it to be stealthy on a mount? and it was made out to be any thing we were meant to do in the maw was get in, get what we need and get out. Once the attack of the covenants on the maw started, it can be argued that we would need to ride between the lines or to aid our allies.

But the attitude posed by the line I first quoted just proves that ANY player hammering Blizzard for being spitfeul, selfish, etc. is being the same to Blizzard.

Oh, and as far as the “immersive” argument, even Blizzard does not use that one now, their current argument is they don’t want people to hover and plop on top of mobs the first time through the game. The don’t care if you dive in on the target, which before pre-patch activated Dragonriders initiative (shockwave that damaged and disoriented mobs if you “crashed” into the ground at medium to high speed close to them) or stay iin the air on a skyriding mount, which before pre-patch could provide skyrider’s compassion, a shield based on stacks built while on skyriding mounts that applied once you landed.

Hmm, maybe Blizzard removed too many skyriding talents that could lead to tactics only achievable with skyriding.

Just think, in a couple of weeks you will have your putt putt as you call it flying, and we wont hear a peep from you again for another 2 years about flying.

The amount of OP “likes” and the number of replies speaks volumes. People agree, it’s stupid. C’mon Blizz, LISTEN ALREADY!

It’s Ion and Co, they won’t listen unless they need good PR, which they currently don’t so they will ignore player feedback. We really need another big lawsuit or something like that to get them to listen because then they will be trying desperately to get as much good PR as possible.

Druid class fantasy is important and I agree. What is wrong with Druids having a perk as a class?

Rogues can wait and sit in stealth and do a similar thing. People acting like hover is OP when stealth classes exist in WoW and you can stay in stealth all day lol.

Blizzard don’t see this as a problem otherwise this would be topic issue for them, they have the data and its seem it doesn’t suppose your claim.

But why are you guys using the disability community as leverage? I only see few same folks keep posting about it trying to make an issue. It doesn’t seen a big issue otherwise it would been a massive uproar months ago. We get it, you don’t like DF but its main feature of the expansion. There’s not going be a mass exodus like WoD.

there’s folks who wants to challenge themself that why they either do that why they do Mage tower, M+ and Mythic raiding. there’s folks who want those item but don’t want to put any effort.

That is your interpretation, I’m sure some do what everything just handed to them, but it’s not what I want. I’m willing to do the content to earn rewards, but I still want Steady Flight. I don’t get motion sickness with Steady Flight, I do with Skyriding, it’s just that simple.

How about coming to terms with your playerbase because it is the right to do instead of intentionally antagonizing them. If this kinda of behavior was done at any normal place of business they would have been fired by now. The whole thing is mindboggling.

i dunno if yall werent around back then, but from the time dragonflight launched up until they announced we were getting regular flying back in the isles, there were a lot of people complaining around the net about getting motion sickness from dragonriding. it was absolutely an issue. i would wager many of those people just didn’t stick around for long and quit playing. maybe steady flight brought them back, maybe it didnt

BlizZard has been a bully for a long time with TBC normal flying and PF shenanigans. So the fact their bully tactics really impact people that have physical issues make them look worse.

It is universal cosmic karma that the whirlwind they started in WoD is coming full circle now right back at them.

Ending PF and the war against TBC normal flying would usher in so many WoW refugees coming back to WoW, new players being able to play and also those with physical disabilities.

Turn the page to a brighter era with an easy win. PF shenanigans must end!

8 hours of gating to stick it to the community for defying you 10+ years ago is the ultimate in petty.
