Locking stable flying but not skyriding to pathfinder is stupid

Here is the post where it was linked, unsure how to do links in quotes

So it is a 100% flip from what they said in the past. Interesting.

I still maintain this is a bad idea for disabled people.

Yeah I don’t think they said you could wait for a quest mob here. They said you could more easily pinpoint land on a quest mob. They basically said SF is easier and more precise and the flying is less gameplay than DF.

So they said it was too easy and not gamified enough I think more than they said it allows cheating or cheesing of content…rather the flight isn’t as challenging as DF.

They pretty much said DF is more fun so we want you to do DF first while you explore I think. I do think they might have missed something about the fact that most people that can use DF…have already mastered it.

At least it is a reason and they did give it which is nice. I don’t agree with it at this point, but can see where they are coming from at least. It’s just a much less defensible reasoning given we have had 2 years to learn DF and master it. Kudos to blizz for answering it though, gotta admit that as it was hands down my biggest issue with this.

Thanks for the info.

Oh and just fyi on the linking thing it is tied to post numbers and there are like forum ranks. I can’t post 99% of links either.

It’s kind of interesting…you are right that is what they said. It just doesn’t make much sense when the caveat is “until you master it” for DF and we have been using that for several years at this point.

I think the logic is a bit tortured but gotta admit that is what they are saying. It’s just not as straight forward or sensible as the ground mount argument. It was you can’t skip the content, now it is the flying is harder to skip content until you are good at it.

Thought that might be the case, as I have posted links on my main before, but I wanted to make sure you saw this and know you have my main on ignore, not telling who.

So I adlibbed/paraphrased a bit, know a better way to make sure people watch vids, even if it is just to make sure on what was said?

hmmmm

Wait what? So you “adlibbed/paraphased” to make sure I watched it? That is really weird dude. I mean thanks for the link, but that is not cool at all. Just have an honest conversation. Is that what you are saying here?

Or are you asking about the link?

Well, not my intention, so sorry if it came out that way. I did it more cause, while I have watched the vid, I did not remember the exact words or was thinking of how the

Could translate to what MIGHT happen with DR.

I also know human nature, so while you might watch it regardless, others might not unless they want to check the accuracy themselves.

Again, sorry if I fumbled over my words/came across in a way I did not intend.

Gonna be honest this…

Is pretty creepy and I am debating blocking you here again. Swapping to get around someone’s block is not cool at all. Let people make their choices on whether they want to talk to you, even if you think it is unfair.

Debating which way to go on this.

chuckles I actually support put one on ignore, all of the account are on ignore. I hate swapping alts just to answer questions or provide information. But in this case, I felt it to be a necessary evil, as if the only ones who would link or get you that information are on your ignore list, how can we be sure you get it?

Again, sorry for doing it, but for me it is indeed more a “last resort” thing.

People asked for Blizzard to eliminate the long, many months wait for the patch where it was possible to complete pathfinder. They listened, and pathfinder requirements have been reduced to completing the campaign, available day 1.

Calling this a caste system, or suggesting that players would like to “go back” to one is beyond hyperbolic. Do we need to be reminded that this is a video game, and not real life?

That is a good thing.

Now remove PF completely so we can turn the page to a brighter WoW future . Patchfinder was a dark era of WoW along with rental system shenanigans.

See if you can follow along:
Patchfinder, to me and others, refers to the time when pathfinder was not able to be completed fully for patches.
Now it is available to be completed in the release patch.
Pacthfinder is there fore DEAD as far as TWW
calling what we have now patchfinder just shows you as one that refuses to let the past die.

And they buffed the speed of TBC normal flying too for TWW.

The contradictions are plenty and can be combed through for hours on end.

Proving not eveyone plays the game in the same way

I agree.

This thread has 9.3k views already which is dwarfing most topics in general discussion.

And it has as many views as this beta thread:

That tells me that this is a broader issue and a topic that a lot of people are interested in seeing be resolved. The resolution is very simply by decoupling TBC normal flying from being attached to patchfinder.

That is the easy solution and easy win before BlizZard. And I honestly do not think this topic is going away but rather it will be magnified with early access and then launch date.

Just my prediction!

So what is the issue then? even in TWW some will be completing via ground, others will use DR. Blizzard has shared their reasoning to lock steady behind PF, so the ways might be limited the first time through. After that 1st time? near 100% freedom.

Not your call. Not your job to decide what I need to see.

Yeah creeping me out. Ignoring you here as well. Don’t do this.

You zoom right over not only a zone but the entire content.

Case closed and I hope this was helpful for you. But that was too easy for me. I may be old but not that old.

Do you even know what the caste system comment is referring to?

And blizzard won’t care because its mostly pointless arguing.
Notice not a single blue has made an appearance?

And they’ll pop in pretty quick to address topics that are important.
