Live Chat Changed?

Has something changed with the live chat hours? I was told that my issue can only be resolved through the chat.

I’ve seen a couple of threads where live chat shows as open but doesn’t seem to be available. Are you able to provide a little detail (no personal info) on what the issue is/was that you need live chat for?

I’m just wondering if it might be something someone here might be able to shed light on or at least see if they are showing Live Chat as available.

It’s regarding a failed purchase. I got a response to my ticket and was told I had to go through live chat to get my character unlocked.

I’m not aware of any issues with Live Chat.

It may be adjusted based on current contact volume, which can mean that the hours may be extended or reduced, depending on the situation. I’m not aware of any current changes to it.

Looks like there was an issue with Live Chat where it had to be taken offline today. So not exactly planned, but that is why it isn’t showing up. It should be back up tomorrow.

I’ll try again but so far it’s been unavailable.

Is there really no other option for me? I usually work during the hours they are supposed to be open so it’s kind of hard to reach them. Am I not able to redo the payments again on my end?

As far as I can see, due to the nature of the account status I believe Live Chat is the only means of getting this worked out, sorry.

are you seeing the option for live chat and it’s unavailable, or are you not seeing the option at all?

looking under the “purchase failure” category I see live chat as available right now.

Still down for me

It shows as an option for me, with live chat being open for 5:00am to 3:00pm PST.

However, it’s greyed for me and showing as not available.

Yes it is greyed out. That was what I was referring to.

just checked again right now, still showing as available with a 1 minute wait time. not sure what might be causing us to see different things.

That is strange, Teigan. We have seen some reports of folks not seeing the option, even though it is available. It might not be something you have access to, but trying from a different location might help, such as with a VPN.

The reports on the issue are being looked into but we don’t have much information right now.

I turned my vpn off and I still see it as unavailable.

I just asked a guild mate in a different area to check and it shows as unavailable for them too

Edit: I have tried changing my location to basically every country and it was unavailable in all of them.

It shows as unavailable for me now even though it should still be available, but sometimes that happens normally if there is a long queue or something. But the second link you posted is the link to what I was using.

The best thing I can recommend is that you submit a ticket and let them know that during the hours others are reporting the live chat option is available that it is grayed out for you.

I’m not sure what can be done, but they’ll let you know.

Not to necro my own thread, but is anyone else having the same issues of the chat not showing available? I don’t know if maybe they are just busy and haven’t opened it up but it hasn’t been available yet. Does it show for anyone else?
