Live Chat Changed?

It showed as not available, but I refreshed the page a minute it showed as available again.

But I just had a mobile connection issue, refreshed after reconnecting, and it was not available again.

Still haven’t had any luck.

From what I can see, Ongaim, you opened a livechat almost 5 days ago and it seems that the Game Master was able to resolve the issue. Is that not the case?

Yeah, I have the same issue on a different account tho. I’m sure I’ll get them eventually. I was just curious if it was still bugging out for certain people.

We’re still seeing the occasional report about it so that is likely. Hopefully, our team can figure out what is going on so that random players doing get roadblocked by this anymore.

I finally got into contact with live chat. I was using Google Chrome. I tried using Firefox with this link https://us.battle.net/support/en/help/contact/322/chat and it worked. Should probably disable adblockers. When I opened the link above on Google Chrome in incognito mode it shows live chat as available. I hope this helps.

tldr: disable adblocker

I was able to get in touch with them and get everything correct. Now I’m just waiting for the charges to complete before my account unlocks. More waiting but at least I know it’s done.

Has chat become available for anyone at all today? I finally got my issues fixed but I need to chat w/ them to fix another issue.

I never knew there was a live chat for customer service… and the links just send me to writing a web ticket.

Live chat is limited to specific issues and not always available. If the issue you have can be handled by live chat, and live chat is available, it would show as an option for you (besides submitting a ticket).

Is it available to people who are not US citizens? I don’t know if being Canadian would have something to do with it.

It should be but as mentioned, it’s not available for all ticket types/issues. It’s primarily for specific Tech Support issues and some Account/Billing issues.

It’s not for account actions for example. They only accept tickets for account actions.

Edit to add: I’m Canadian and have used Live Chat in the past myself, just not recently.

Would a refund request be a qualifying thing?

Because if so, I probably should have seen the option, but only have web ticket available.

No.

Refund requests go through two steps:

  • A self help tool that grants it to you automatically if you qualify for one.
  • A GM ticket option if you don’t qualify using the tool, but feel you still should get one. There are some quirks to the tool that can auto deny a valid refund so you want a real person to look over it if you think the tool was wrong.

The goal is to give most people a rapid refund vs having to sit in a ticket queue. If you qualify, the system will grant it. If not, a GM will review the situation.

The terms of a refund are here

I didn’t even see the auto refund system. Guess I have some difficulties finding things.

You should be able to find the option (depending on the type of purchase) here:

No problem! If you ever need help finding the right link or being pointed in the right direction, this forum is exactly the right place to ask

Weird… it only gives me a button saying ā€œcontact usā€ the auto refund system doesn’t start up.

Only shows Web ticket fill out form.

Tried going to other refunds and it happens there too, to fill out a web ticket. I’ll just wait on the one I already have open then.

Yeah, if the system doesn’t find an eligible refund available, then it likely will push you to the ticket option. Since you have a ticket open, I’d suggest just waiting on that.
