Literally 3/4 players want LFD

PvP would be impossible without cross-realm on most realms because it requires Horde & Alliance to be queing. There’s also a ton of avenues of Battlegrounds and Arenas. Do you think the average realm can sustain 2s, 3s, 5s, Wsg, AB, Eots, and AV when it requires both factions to be queing? The reality is it’s a lot easier to find a group of 5 people on your faction/realm than it is for PvP. I want LFD but I get why people think it’s a bad idea. Point is to compare PvP to LFD is comparing apples to oranges.

Whole 60 people on horde…wow
Your solution is to jump through a dozen of hoops to punish one person out of 30,000 people you’re unlikely to meet again…and that person won’t even care, as there are other 30,000 people he can play with.

nothing at all & this is why LFD will only solve many of the current problems we’re having in tbcc, such as “not having to stressing your eyes on the spam chat channel, also selfish people won’t reserve gear, and won’t ask for gold to join…etc”

They don’t add people to that list unless they have a very good reason and proof is provided.

The people on that list that I refused raid spots when they applied seemed to care.

I’m sure they found a spot in the very next raid ad in LFG chat.

I’m referring to a raid spot in the guild I was recruiting for.

And I know for a fact at least one of the people on that list quit playing the game because several guilds denied their application.

A blacklist is an effective incentive for someone to change their ways.

This is just one list that was made available to recruiters on Mankrik. Several people I know have their own personal blacklists they only share with friends or guild members.

Im noticing that for a lot of people that answer the “what community?” question almost always bring up and focus on blacklists.
Not positives like “our guild helps lowbies through dungeons” or “my friend group hosts intro raid nights for the server”. Always black lists and always on Discord too.
Heck could be simple as “i give out mage food in SW for lowbies to save gold” idk something positive not just “I need my gatekeeping lists”. punishments dont work when there isn’t a way to improve.
Do these blacklists ever have people taken off? or are they set in stone forever even if the player improves?
Show me positives of the community, don’t just focus on black lists, otherwise you’re playing into the age old “we just want to gatekeep the bads”

You do realize not all 200k voted.

They want LFD because there’s no other option. What we would PREFER is balanced or connected realms. People need to stop operating with a black and white, on or off, mentality. The real situation is that we NEED (not want) LFD because nothing else has been done for the realm populations. They could also turn LFD off for the mega realms and let the rest of us have it. Why must low pop realms suffer because mega realms don’t need it?

“Your entire argument is invalidated by the fact you have the option to transfer off your low population server.”
-Yours is invalidated by the fact that we’d have to pay 25$ per character to do so. Unless you are offering to cover it for everyone, you can promptly shove right off.

“So then pay for a transfer?”

That entirely depends on your realm, faction, play time and class.

Unlikely… Not to mention some of those remarks could be very subjective… Person could have made an honest mistake and got ganged upon and kicked when he got defensive…

There is one that said someone DE"d an item they got instead of giving it to another pug…I mean, it would have been a nice thing to do, but also, he doesn’t owe that person anything. Just saying. And someone got really really mad and put him/her onto the list…implying we even trust the accusation. There are no screenshots or any forms of proof on there. Just what 1 person said.

I’m not blizzard, so I can’t really do that, sorry. I don’t really care if it is or isn’t put in and I’d love to see what the majority player base thinks, but using 3rd party polls isn’t really going to give anyone an accurate answer since people can very easily skew the results. A botter that wants to sell boosts all day could make infinite accounts and vote yes on that poll, for example.

They can do the same with WoW battletag accounts. A lot of peeople have multiple subs.
A player is more likely to have x2-3 WOW accounts than 2-3 YT accounts.

Your entire argument is invalidated by the fact you have the option to transfer off your low population server.

That’s why there would have to be certain limitations, like on osrs. 2-3 people with different wow accounts isn’t going to really skew the results of 200k. Most people don’t have two accounts on wow, much less 3. This doesn’t dismiss the fact that a lot of people don’t use the forums and just as many probably don’t even know who wille is or care to vote on the youtuber’s poll.

Blizzard has not blanket opened free transfers.

60 toxic people is already too much no matter the overall population. that number should be 0.

if you are ok with playing with ninja looters and people who think insulting others is ok be my guest, but be assured that i will make any effort i can to remember those players and block them from my game experience.

Most people don’t have twice accounts on Youtube either, must less 3.

Blacklists are very 1 sided. There is no proof on that list. For all I know the person who LOST the roll made up a lie. What may have offended them, may not offend me, or anyone else as a matter of fact.

What IF others were rude to that player and he got triggered? None of those are held accountable for their actions. What if it was an honest mistake? Or a misunderstanding? You’re a fool to take those lists for granted. But hey, you do you. How you play the game doesn’t really concern me, nor should it. You play how you like it, and allow me to play how I like it.

And if you think 60 people out sub 250k is a lot…ooof. Man. You’ve been outside, have ya?

One way or the other, I will not be spending my time in wrath looking for a group via spamming in chat. Other options are pvp only or acquiring large amounts of gold to buy tanks to avoid chat spam.

Ridiculous that any game these days, classic or not, runs it’s top tier content on a chat channel.
