Literally 3/4 players want LFD

It kills mage boosting. What’s not to like?

Of course. I even noted it somewhere myself. Is it the best statistic? God no…but it’s one of the only ones we have available to public.

Simply put, one cannot say that more people are against LFD. Even if you don’t agree with this 28k poll, just take the look around- Reddit/Twit/MMO/DIscords & these very forums.

No one even imagined that RDF wasn’t gonna be included. This was a shocker. It was so expected and accepted.

Good for you joining a mega server.
Did you join it because it was a mega server or because you wanted to be there?
Also, I’m Oceanic so I’m sorry if our mega servers aren’t the same as yours.
But seeing as though Oceania only has one non pvp realm well…

If RDF won’t destroy Classic why do you and everyone else like you care if it gets added or not?
Do you think that after WOTLK classic is done and dusted they will add in the next expansion and so on so forth until we reach Shadowlands?
People made the game take that crappy route, not RDF.
People chose to be anti social and rely on RDF.
But it was better then than it is now with the majority of people selling boosts on LFG chat and refusing to do anything with you unless you pay for it.
Or guilds refusing you entry because you don’t meet their criteria to join or not sharing same time zones with you.
But even if you do join a nice big guild there’s no guarantee they will want to do what you want to do with them.
That’s why RDF is so useful.
No guilt about refusing to do stuff with others because you don’t want to do them and no feeling of obligation to suit everyone else’s needs.
RDF is for casual people, and to deny casuals the tools to enjoy the game in their own way is beyond unfair.

And yea, those days with my guild were the best times I had in WoW.
Doing Obsidian Sanctum and the heroic achievements for the drakes.
Messing up from time to time.
But those days are long gone.
My guild is gone and my friends are gone too.
I’m on Classic because Classic is more fun than Retail in almost every way.
As are most of the players on Classic.

Unfortunately those sweeping generalizations about current day community are rather accurate, which you would know if you didn’t live in your own little microcosm.
It’s true of WoW and almost every other MMO out there.
There is no escaping the laziness/entitlement/elitism that the gamers of today show.
If I could I would invent a time machine to go back to those awesome days of WoW.
But alas time travel is impossible and the only thing to do is suck it up and play a different way or not play at all.

But all in all you gotta admit that not being able to experience everything you used to love about a game because people can’t be bothered is awfully sad no?

Wow… I kinda feel sad a bit for you now. Wish you weren’t oceanic, you could join up. Sadly I don’t share that cynical view of wow and sweeping generalizations aren’t an argument. As for the mega server I’m on, it became that way through time and I didn’t feel like transferring off since more people are always welcome. More new people to play with and make friends is great.

RDF won’t save you from that mentality unfortunately.

As for post WoTLK classic, I’m fairly confident we will see Cata Classic, but it’s still a ways away. Lead dev already stated that it is an option and there too they will remove things like LFR which also don’t belong in classic thankfully.

This argument that people refuse to do anything with you if you don’t pay for it is mind boggling. I don’t recall every paying to run any dungeon. People are in control of their own destiny in this game as they have always been. The “awesome days” are still here in WoW Classic, but with your mindset sadly you will never see it.

I love internet polls.

Yea,I also feel we will get Cata classic.
Don’t know how far they can go with it but nostalgia is a force to be reckoned with.

Sometimes you might get lucky and someone might feel like grouping up to do difficult group quests but those people are few and far in between.
Sometimes you might also get that nice and bored level 70 who won’t charge you gold to do a dungeon but it kinda cheapens the experience.
Things you have to do like class quests and whatnot are fine on occasion if there’s no other choice but it really doesn’t do anything for the whole “leveling excitement thing”.

According to you anyway.

~200k accounts, 75% of 28k vote for it. ~10% of people polled does not define an entire population. It is merely a small sample of what SOME people think. It is evidence to support your argument … But it is not 'LITERALLY", as you so eloquently put it in your topic title.

You are arguing a valid point. But your making yourself look ridiculous by overstating your evidence and being combative to ANYONE who disagrees with you. So your only hurting your point, and anyone who agrees with you.

Good luck on your quest … your going to need it.

That’s how polls and studies work. It is not feasible to capture 100% response rate, even if you tried really really hard.

Because it’s easy for you to say “Nah, not good” and none of you are able to provide anything of value.

It’s rather simple. If you disagree with these numbers, provide another source that states it otherwise. This is the only way you can disprove these poll numbers.
While I have a source to support my claim, you are going off your personal belief.

So it really comes down to 28k vs your PERSONAL take on the issue.

Thank you for proving my point. I didn’t disagree with your assessment that most people want it. But since I didn’t explicitly agree you get combative. Keyboard warriors get the /ignore.

As I said … good luck … your going to need it.

Once again

lmao what? I’m not even allowed to explain? jeez.
So like it’s okay for you and others to attack my point and not okay for me to defend it?
In your world, it seems, I should just bow down to everyone who disagrees with me and let them have their way JSUT BECAUSE they think it’s the right way… Riiiiiiight. You’re an unable to prove me wrong and now you’re trying to make me look bad.

Come back with something of value. Then we can have a talk.

most childish response possible

Literally 3/4ths of players don’t want LFD

or inside arena     dumbingham really fits

This is patently untrue. With LFD, its a little closer to being true. Without LFD, your quote may as well read “Let them eat cake!” You ‘community’ people both annoy and amuse me. We will see the state of ‘the community’ a few months after the median hits 80 and realizes there isn’t much of anything to do. The ragequitting pro-LFDers aren’t much of a concern. The incoming wave of bored 80s sitting in Dalaran is the bigger problem. MMO players tolerate all kinds of dumb sh*t…but not boredom.

Anti-LFD has won the battle, but you will lose the war.

Cool. Nice prediction . Let’s see how it plays out without LFD this time . Glad we can amuse you though

Blizz would have already sold a bunch of deluxe editions and boosts. Beyond that they don’t seem to care about the long-term health of the game.

I’m sure there is enough blame to pass around at blizzard.
*they’ve not made anything IMO worth playing since MOP.

There is a case to be made that there was never any intention for classic to have a ‘long term’. Get what money that could be made off of the least possible work and if you captured a few back to retail then its a bonus. I mean, its not the worst plan from a purely financial standpoint.

The counter to that is perhaps with effective stewardship the classic line could generate long-term gains but given the stewardship we have seen thus far, I find that unlikely. The No-LFD decision almost comes across as an ‘its over, move along’ signal…like last call shouts at the bar…“We’re happy you came, thanks for the money…but this is starting to be more trouble than its worth so head on over to retail or just go. We’re good”. Who knows…
